Joey has said in interviews that he just ‘knows’ what the drums will sound like on a song before he records anything. Chances are he just asked “what BPM?” And made his own drum beat for this.
He was given the live version drum tracks to listen to prior to the event so he could figure out the breaks (ie crowd interaction parts and breakdowns) every touring band worth the admission of show has a way they play songs on their setlists for each unique tour they're on.... Joey knew this being hes always been the damn headliner to nearly any gig they play. RIP TO THE LEDGEND NJJ!
I’d say Sic is Blind... They both have the heaviness in the beginning, then some singing in the middle then a full on explosion of intensity at the end. Plus, everyone loves Sic and Blind

All rehearsed and agreed upon, though. But yes, they probably suggested he'd just go all-out nuts with what he did, taking the song into another dimension for the ending.

Jay Em You don't choose to remove members of a band. It happens. And when it does it's almost always what they needed. Maybe not for their career but for their sanity.
Jay Em idk man The Grey Chapter sounded fine without him. Yes he played a huge role in the awesomeness of their sound but shit happens, members leave. Its a part of the business.
I'm glad I was a teenager in the 00s when metal was still fucking huge and we got killer performances like this. Rip Joey, total icon of the era. Amazing drummer.

Almost a year later and it still hasn't fully sunk in that I'll never see him beat the shit out of that monster of a kit again. So, so lucky to have met him couple of times and I'm incredibly grateful of those memories. Such a sweet soul.
Btw Monkey's backup vocals are absolutely spot on. Sounds exactly the studio version as if it's Jonathon Davis voice. Sign of a great band seriously...
at least twice a month i come back to watch this to get some energy when i feel i need it joey brought this song to another level like everything he touched. what a loss to the world

And Live at GBGB's in 2003 or Amsterdam 2012 were amazing (btw Rock am Ring 2006 was good enough too)
