My nine year old self was there with my dad. Back in the days when practically every town in West Yorkshire organised a coach or two to both home and away LUFC games. Couldn't get over the fact that I was watching the same player in Ossie Ardilles that I'd seen thousands of miles away on TV in the Argentinian World Cup a few months before this game. He seemed incredibly exotic back then as foreign players playing in England, especially from outside Europe, were a rarity compared to these days.
was there, in the flesh and at maine rd just over a fortnight later for the west brom 2nd replay, half an hour of singing jock stein, all for nothing, never mind jimmy adamson would transform us!!!!!!
@r que yeah course Leeds only took 100 down to Tottenham in 1978... as if. But you're right, football fans weren't into welcoming the opposition in those days.
