I have the same car have spent $25,000 in parts and labor in 2yrs I’ve resorted to doing everything by myself at this point thanks this video is incredibly helpful
That's good to hear! I have 2 more videos already posted on how to do just the timing chain and then how to put it back together. It was surprisingly easier then I was expecting. Hope it goes good for you and thanks for watching!
We have 3 videos up of disassembly, replacement and assembly and it only took me 1 day to do. It took me about 10 hrs but now that I have done it I bet I could do it in less then 6.
When you first start up since new it's done a wierd quick noise. I guess they all do it I took it in for it and it's just part of the car. But if you're referring to something else than no It doesn't
To me it sounds like the Alternator like you said. If Tyler has any other input he'll let u know as well. These cars have electric power steering so I shouldn't be that
Hi I own the same car would you hear a loud rattle inside engine on cold starts that would kinda go away? Also rattling when stepping on gas?
Could be a few things definitely get that checked out! Make sure your oil level is good. These cars are notorious for oil issues

Where do I get the seal or gasket that goes in between them
I would check with your local dealership. Probably cheaper elsewhere but at least get the part # from them 👍
Hey where did your order your parts from
Rock auto!
How long from start to finish?

@@413BROS thank you planning to replace it on a 2015 Soul
@@413BROS did you need a special tool to remove the crank pulley?
Nope just pop the nut off and make sure the crank doesn't spin so u don't loose timing.
@@413BROS thank you what about the cam gears?
Did your car have a strange wining noise

@413 BROS yeah my daughter bought one that whines loudly with RPM's. I'm thinking maybe the alternator pulley is the noise
Is it at a higher rpm? Like while driving or at an idle?
@@413BROS all the time with rpm
