Here's my 2 cents worth. Many people buy silver for many different reasons. Some buy Silver for its numismatic values, so they pay top dollar for rare coins with key dates in high grades. Others buy silver rounds with DC comic characters on them or cool designs for their collector value or just because they like them....yet others buy silver as a long term investment. Me, personally, i buy it as nothing more than a savings account, i buy silver rounds at as close to spot as i can get them because it keeps me from just spending my money. I cant just open my wallet and spend money when its locked up in silver. In life, just about everything goes up in price, thats just the nature of the beast... silver goes up and silver goes down (literally, every hour it does that), but in the long run...i thinks its going to go up. So i feel safe with silver...i have little fear that i will wake up years from now and find out i have lost thousands of dollars in value. I keep every receipt i have from every ounce of silver i ever bought. If i buy it in a person to person deal, i still make myself a receipt for how much i bought and how much i paid, then, once a year i total up all my receipts and ounces and divide it all out and find out what my average cost it per ounce, just in case i need to sell. Right now i am sitting at $26.12 per ounce in my safe (@ 1256 ounces) ...so i am in it for $32,806.72, but it has a value of (at this moment) $38,383.36. So far, so good...lol. HAPPY STACKING EVERYBODY.

I think you are spot on. For me it all boils down to intrinsic value and practicality. In 1964 they took all the silver out of dimes, quarters, etc. resulting in coins made from worthless base metals. Then in 1971 Nixon “temporarily suspended” the convertibility of dollars into gold. These two actions by our government turned real money with intrinsic value (gold and silver) into fiat currency (pieces of printed paper). The ensuing devaluation of the currency makes the wise man say “I don’t need to possess these pieces of paper I need to exchange them for physical things with intrinsic value”. Land gets taxed, food perishes, etc. Silver (bars, coins, rounds, etc) doesn’t rust, spoil, decay or change. It’ll be the same 1 ounce coin a thousand years from now…nice store of value. So long as I don’t lose it or have it stolen, I’m good.

Gold is a tier 1 asset, silver is not. Like it or not, silver is an industrial metal, gold is not. Industry is so dependent on silver, it will do all they can to keep the price down.

I have been a customer of yours for some years now, and I would like to say I appreciate you for being a honest and reliable bullion dealer! Thank you Josh!!! I appreciate you taking the time to make your videos and I have learned a lot of important information that has helped me tremendously on my silver stacking journey! Minot Coin and Bullion Flash Sales are unbeatable! I happen to have a few friends and family who would like to buy from you but unfortunately they live in California, and I completely understand why you don’t like to sell or ship there. I was just wondering if whatnot or your upcoming internet site would change that situation, so I could send more business your way?

In 1973 I bought my wedding rings. Gold was about $36/ounce. The rings were cheap and all I could afford. Over the years I've bought lots of gold jewelry. Never liked silver jewelry. Besides, gold jewelry was still fairly cheap. Needless to say, I'm left with a fair amount of junk gold jewelry. The value was amazing when I turned in some of the junk jewelry last week. What a nice unintended nest egg that is really coming in handy right now. Pre-1933 gold coins are stunning and my favorites.

Anything is possible. I however believe that silver is being regulated by the powers that be, more so than gold is. Silver has a lot more industrial uses than gold does. If silver ever reached $100 an oz, could you imagine what the products would cost being made from it. Manufacturers put a lot of pressure on the government to keep the price down. Being a stacker, I would love to see $100, I just don't think it will.

Silvers premiums % wise make it a no Brainer when compared to its sub par price movement when compared to other investments like stocks or crypto (5-10% over ask when compared to 0%). Gold at least can keep up a bit when it's bloated like this year. Take the profits while you can. Cheers

What about us retired folks. Most likely I am not going to be around in 10 years. So tell me why metals are a good investment for me. When my bank cd's made me thousands of dollars without lifting a finger. My silver sat there doing what it always does. Up a buck then down a buck.
I enjoy owning Gold and silver because it is fun, interesting and beautiful to hold and admire.
I never have made much if any profit on metals. Consider the expenses...premiums, and loss back of spot when selling.
I just can't convince myself to go in big. All this barter nonsense is just that, nonsense except perhaps at some small scale. That would be fun to shove it to Uncle Sam.

Ignore gold. Wrap your head around THAT. Everyone lumps gold and silver together. Separate them for a moment.
Only think of silver. Now look at silver’s YE closing price in 1969 and compare it silver’s YE closing price just 11 years later in 1980. Silver 10X!
This is what I believe is happening again with silver…one day.
