Christmas decoration in baroque style. Decoupage with rice paper. Modelling with polymer clay, Fimo

- The Baroque-style decorations stand out from the rest with their lace-like textures and opulence, highlighted by gold-plating. They should be beautiful, smooth, clear, as sophisticated as possible and gold-plated.
So, I've made for you a decoupage on a Christmas decoration, with elements applied in polymer clay, hot-dried, quite sophisticated and gold-polished.
I used rice paper, but I made the final image look old and worn, to look like it was from the same old days.
Materials used
- flat plastic globe
- white primer
- white acrylic paint
- black primer
- rice paper
- pastel acrylic colours, with lots of water
- blue acrylic paint, in the same tone as the ageing patina
- glazing medium
- 3 types of silicone moulds
- matte gel for gluing elements
- oil-based ageing glaze, earth shadow
- gold metallic wax
- polymer clay, Fimo, hot drying, but you can use any brand of the same type, premol , waxed or sculpey
- you can use cold-drying clay instead of polymer paste, but you must be careful to remove the elements from the mould without deforming them. Difficult but not impossible.
- Solvent-based gloss varnish, in 3 thin, successive coats, drying in between.

I to jest prawdziwa sztuka. Pierwszy kanał gdzie na prawdę jest to wykonane perfekcyjnie. Widziałam bardzo wiele filmików, pokazujących tworzenie decoupage'owych bombek, ale większość z nich to tandeta. Dlaczego? Przez niedbalstwo - a to sznurek krzywo, a to kolor źle dobrany, a to coś niedocięte, klej gdzieś wyłazi i wtedy wygląda to jak paździerz. Tutaj prawdziwa sztuka, przepięknie, czysto, perfekcyjnie. With the solvent based products, can I ask what you were using to clean your brushes? The reason why am asking is because I just bought this product after watching your videos and I’d like to make sure i’m using the right product to clean my brushes so I don’t ruin them.
I clean my brush with izopropilic alcool. 😊💜

it also works when I use wax or patina. isopropyl alcohol cleans brushes very well.
