    It does seem to me that Tom starts moving quite a bit before the whistle. I don't know the rules so maybe it was perfectly fine, but when you look at the close times between him and Mateusz, this can make the difference.
    When you look at the time from the first stone touching the platform to finish, it looks to me like Mateusz was a bit faster. Unfortunately you cannot see clearly when M. touches the first stone due to the camera angle.
    Not hating on anyone, I like both athletes and have no personal preference, I would just like to hear other peoples opinions on the matter. :)

    Tom Stoltman is an absolute savage and a true inspiration in the sport of strong man. He's going to go down as one of the greats by the time he's finished.
    Edit: I should also add that Luke Stoltman deserves a shit load of credit as well. Tom was able to achieve this large in part to his brother's dedication and support. Luke is a truely good man.

      considering how important the glue ( i dont know exactly what they put on their forearms) is in stones, even the room temperature should be quite important for that event.
      And if you consider that every different deadlift height has different records it should be obvious stones should too. But deadlift is ofc way more common

    • @edwardshowden5511
      @edwardshowden5511 3 роки тому +1

      Maybe not a full second but half for sure. On many competitions differences are very small yet I still see judges using timers it's ridiculous. Athletes are geting better and better and begin to specialize in certain areas organizers should improve their measurements and the rules should be very clear. Same with deadlifts half reps etc. There is so much money on the line they should be more professional.
