This video was so relaxing and felt like chilling calmly with a friend around the neighorhood. Thanks for making it. Also the surrounding of it reminds me of the area where Ghibli studios are situated. The greeneries and overall vibe of both areas seems to match to me. (I've seen that in a documentary on NHK and that's how I know, they were interviewing Hayao Miyazaki while he was walking around the studio's neighborhood)
Such a relaxing video. I love Japan and because of the pandemic, lots of us are stuck at home (hi from Los Angeles) but this video was amazing even if it was just a simple stroll around your neighborhood. Love all your content, thank you for sharing! ✌🏻
I love this video! As a Dutch person it weird to see there are no bike lanes, as we are so used to have them everywhere. Keep doing these videos! Good for your health and fun for us. Greetings from Leiden, The Netherlands
Hey fellow Hawaii friend! 🤙🏽 thanks for taking us on a ride. The narration was soothing. I also just love having the four seasons. The variation in activities and food bring about so much more excitement than a single season year round. 😅🌴
I really like these bike riding videos. They are so interesting and glad you are taking us along with you. . Stay safe, wear your mask, and drink lots of fluids. I do have an ebike, actually. It did not cost as much as you would expect. I actually bought mine on Amazon and they have videos to show you everything you need to know about using them.
These are residential areas, and seems like he's riding when it's work time. Japan's got a pretty robust public transit system too, so you don't need many cars. Most traffic is in the city center, like Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc.
That was Great! YEs an ebike definitely makes life easier when you go up hills - we have one for San Francisco and it is perfect. You just need to remember to charge the battery overnight or get one that recharges with your peddling. Thanks for the great video!
I love the mix of building styles so much. Tokyo is so interesting to look at. Modern sleek next to old with wooden details, plain grey next to lovely greenery, functional next to traditional and so on. And I love hearing those cicadas even if they seem to ne creepy big bugs! Only Thing missing was a conbini ❤️😂
Here in Costa Rica it's the same...Hills!! Nothing is flat, which makes bike riding very difficult! I miss having a bike to ride! So I say yes, get the E-Bike!
I love your bike ride and your comments. You’re making new discovery. Wonderful. People don’t steal bicycles in Japan it seems. My bicycle was stolen. I bought a new beach cruiser. My daughter just purchased an E bike and she loves it but I cannot afford the $1500. Price. I also need the work out. I love your channels. Thank you for taking the effort to video your outings. I miss Japan so much! Love and kindness? Dale
Thanks for the video :) Sorry missed the premiere; we we're doing home renovations. Lovely shrine. Reminds me of the one close to the house I usually rent in Tokyo. I go by there almost every day since the supermarket is just behind it.
What a nice ride in Tokyo, even though it has been brutally hot! I'm in Gunma and just love cycling around here. Can't wait to ride again when it's a bit cooler.
I love watching people walk or bike in Tokyo, I am slowly discovering these places and it feel a bit like I have been there though I sadly never set foot in Japan
An e-bike is a good investment in my opinion, will also reduce the cost of public transportation. Here in Belgium a lot of people ride an e-bike, young and older people, so they have a lot of more 'travel' freedom but not needing to use the car. In Belgium the country next to the Netherlands, everybody almost has a bicycle and some even 2 like you said haha! But do keep an eye on the level of battery, you don't want to run out! Love this kind of video Shinichi, just biking and talking :)
Absolutely love the style of your videos, sooo calming and perfect, also your voice so pleasant and warm! You are such a positive person and just wanted to say thank you for those videos, I travel with you for those 20 minutes and it means a lot now when it is almost imposible to travel. So thanks and continue posting around the town videos and Japan in general, love it!❤
Audio and visual sounds and looks great, it feels like everyone is bike riding with you! I didn't know certain parts of Tokyo is quiet and less traffic, too.
That florist/cafe looks lovely! I share your feelings about the 4 seasons. Never thought about them much until I visited places without seasons, and now I enjoy them a lot more (still love to complain about the heat/cold tho :D).
I love this setup as well Shinichi! I don't mind any of the videos you make on the various channels I like them all, love seeing more and more of Japan, thank you!
Love this. Was in Tokyo mid March with my sons. Had to return to Hawaii a little earlier than planned due to corona virus. I really enjoy Japan, and am hoping to return soon. :)
There is big crazy craving for Vintage and antique lately. We would most interested you take us on a tour to antique shops, Vintage stores and even second hand markets in Japan, Tokyo . Thank you!!!
Hi Shinichi! E-bike is the way to go if you really enjoy riding around a lot.Worth every penny and they hold their value very good. Very easy to sell if you get tired of it.I ride everyday. I love how you really get to see your neighborhood in depth.Audio is really good.
Loving the bike ride and talking 👍 the new technique is great because the bike 🚲 ride is smooth. Thank you for making great videos and being such a humble person.
That was alot of fun! The view from your chest camera is good! You could look into getting a used electronic bike maybe? Although I hear they keep their value. Good luck! 👍☀️
This makes me want to learn how to ride a bike but it's so hot where I live. 😫 Its around 37° everyday right now, maybe I'll try during autumn, anyways really nice video!!
Portland is a big bicycle city. We also have public bikes in our city to rent as well as electric scooters. My kids use them a lot to get around the city.
Tokyo is a fabulous place to ride, I spent a couple of weeks cycling around Tokyo and Mito in early March on my Brompton folder. Also Tokyo is a perfect place for ebikes.
Yes please! More future videos of the bike ride, i love biking I live in Belgium and I have an old bike that i want to change as well, but not ebike, since it forces me to exercise. I found this video absolutely soothing and peaceful. I love the talking part, so please keep chatting! Thanks so much for this! Great quality in the set up and this has truly made my day. Big thanks!!!
I've been watching your channel with a friend as an escape from Covid and they have been very comfy and relaxing,. I would love to see more bike rides around Tokyo!
Definitely get an e-bike. I am 71 years old and go everywhere on mine here in Melbourne Australia, (when not in lockdown as now!) Yes - more talking videos. This one is working very well!
These bike riding videos are very relaxing. I like both those with you talking and those without, but I would probably watch those with you talking as you ride before the others. Hope you have success with this concept.
Living vicariously through this bike ride! So therapeutic! Could you talk about the rules / do’s & don’ts for riding bike in Japan? Like which lane should we stay / is the traffic lights not applicable to bike riders 😝
bikes should always follow vehicle traffic rules in Japan (though some riders are a bit more reckless). We ride on the left side of the road here - same direction as cars and you can pretty much ride on most roads that aren't highways. Some places have bike paths but most of the time, you just ride near the shoulder and cars are generally very considerate. Absolutely love cycling in Japan if you can't tell haha
I think this setup works fine. I love it.I think your idea of an e-bike sounds good. Of course, I am no specialist. I used to borrow my cousin's bicycle when I was visiting them , but my doctor advised me to avoid it because of a muscle injury/weakness. Cruise from Two Wheel Cruise could give you good advice probably. He lives and breathes bikes!
This was the best bike tour you've done, in my opinion. The picture was amazingly steady and the sound was perfect. I was really impressed. Thank you for the tour. As for the e-bike ... I think that would be brilliant. I think you both should have e-bikes. I do wonder, though, how far one can go on a charge. It would be horrible to get stuck somewhere at the bottom of a big hill.
The more i see videos like this, the more makes me wanna visit there which i am maybe one year from and to live there to and i bike ride all the time and no hills hey hey!!
A lot of people here in NYC have e-bikes. I like them and I am thinking about getting one myself. I live in Brooklyn and there are lots of hills here too. Loved the tour of your neighborhood, especially loved the sounds of the cicadas. So peaceful. I would love to go to Japan one day!
In my free time I usually go to a random city using google map and see how their place looks like and these bike ride videos make me feel I'm really there exploring the place on a bike rather than on google map.
SO SMOOTH SHINICHI!!!! SO NICE TO SEE!!!❤❤❤ I enjoy the talking and it's more interaction I feel but I understand people that don't like talking vids too!!
I love bikeridevideo on this channel. Explain what you see. But I love it too on I will always travel for foodchannel. On those video's you see more details. It is more relax
I love looking at houses in the residential areas. I especially love doing it when I have traveled to Japan, but I actually also like to do it right near my home. I'm the weardo walking in the residential areas and looking at all the neat details of the houses and gardens. I can walk the same street many times and it's still interesting finding new details. I enjoyed the bike riding video. I dont ride much bikes myself. I know how to ride a bike, but I dont own one. The rare times I have had to ride recently have been so awkward, so I havent been able to enjoy it. I love riding my car tho. ^-^
New to the channe, Sounds and looks great. Never been to Japan but hopefully soon. I do have a bike as well. I like to explore Brooklyn (I live in NYC) on my bike. I feel like I would love exploring Tokyo by bicycle as well.
I really enjoy your bike riding talking video! Really nice just to go along wirh you. Felt like i was traveling along. Thanks for taking me with you! The go pro and harness really made it awesome!
I like both styles of video and want to see more bike videos. You should do a series where you ride around the main areas(Ueno, Akihabara, etc) and share your thoughts and opinions about the area. Really curious what you think about them as a person who grew up outside Japan.
Video is perfectly clear, as well as the audio. If you want an e-bike, go ahead and buy one. I think the only, or one of the issues of e-bikes is repair can get expensive. Always keep safe when going out, the virus never sleeps.
Nice bike tour Shinichi!! I enjoy your trip pleasantly 🤩 btw if possible, could you share information about riding bikes in Tokyo? like the rule, the forbidden roads for bikes, how to park the bike in self service paid parking area.. I rode a bike once and it really confused me because sometimes you can ride freely, sometimes the police asked you to not ride, and I'd no idea how to use the paid self service bike parking until there were rider used it and I watched them closely with my very limited Japanese language 😅 Thankyou! Always love your videos! Stay safe!
I enjoy these bike rides and the system you set up works very well--very clear and smooth ride. Haven't been on my bike for years because the fit is wrong and I am terrified of traffic. The only place I would feel comfortable riding would be in a park. Keep safe and hydrated.
Love the bike ride! I have nerve damage and can’t peddle a bike anymore, so I use an electric scooter...love my scooter. Filming was clear to watch and enjoyable ❤️
I like watching all of your channels including "I will Travel for Food." I don't particularly enjoy ASMR as a standalone thing if that's all the person did but it's nice to watch the way you do it as something a little different than your other styles of presentation. You're very versatile in your streaming talent and it's awesome watching you show off those various talents. I enjoy ALL of your channels.
The sound and picture is perfect! It feels like we are biking with you.
This video was so relaxing and felt like chilling calmly with a friend around the neighorhood. Thanks for making it. Video and audio quality were great, just like the rest of the video, what a fun little adventure!
Shinichi ... your bicycle is a very smooth ride! 🙂🚴🏼♂️

Such a relaxing video. I love Japan and because of the pandemic, lots of us are stuck at home (hi from Los Angeles) but this video was amazing even if it was just a simple stroll around your neighborhood. Love all your content, thank you for sharing! ✌🏻
Hello I'm from LA as well. I love this channel and really enjoy his I'll really travel for food channel as well.
hi LA, from Japan!
3:43 we have similar in the UK, but we pronounce it as co (as in go) and op (as in pop) because of the hyphen. It's short for cooperative.
I think Shinichi is psychic. Each time I'm about to ask a question, he answers it! Thanks for the awesome videos :D
I Love The Bike Rides...
I love this video! As a Dutch person it weird to see there are no bike lanes, as we are so used to have them everywhere. Keep doing these videos! Good for your health and fun for us. Greetings from Leiden, The Netherlands
I really enjoy this kind of video.
Yes please more bike rides around Tokyo would be fantastic. I am stuck at home and this feels like an escape to my favourite big city.

This total lack of any traffic is truly bizarre. There's no one going anywhere

Good audio. Captured the cicadas crying well too. Very relaxing.
That was Great! YEs an ebike definitely makes life easier when you go up hills - we have one for San Francisco and it is perfect. You just need to remember to charge the battery overnight or get one that recharges with your peddling. Thanks for the great video!
Never knew there are farms in Tokyo neighbourhood. Thank you for the video. Very fun and hardly any cars around.
And i also love to watch your other channel, the food ones
I love the mix of building styles so much. Tokyo is so interesting to look at. Modern sleek next to old with wooden details, plain grey next to lovely greenery, functional next to traditional and so on. And I love hearing those cicadas even if they seem to ne creepy big bugs! Only Thing missing was a conbini ❤️😂
That cafe and flower shop in the small lane near the park looks so kawaii and awesome. I would be there a few times a week, I’m sure!!!
I love the way you call ur local shop coop we have them here in England but we say it as 2 separate words co, op 😁
Here in Costa Rica it's the same...Hills!! Nothing is flat, which makes bike riding very difficult! I miss having a bike to ride! So I say yes, get the E-Bike!

I didn't learn how to ride a bike until I was 20, out of necessity. I'm glad I did because now I have my own bike and I love riding it.
You live really close to where my host family lived when I studied abroad 11 years ago. It's neat to see some familiar places.
Absolutely love the style of your videos, sooo calming and perfect, also your voice so pleasant and warm! New to your bike tour! Love it. I dream of visiting Japan. I was 5 when I went...52 years ago! My mom is from Yokohama!
I love the bike rides with just the sounds of the streets and nature with text. It's rather cathartic.
Yes and yes to talking and biking. And getting lost! Would love to see you randomly discover new places around town.
I love this setup as well Shinichi! I don't mind any of the videos you make on the various channels I like them all, love seeing more and more of Japan, thank you!

Really enjoyed this. I love hearing you talking as it keeps me company. Hope you made it home ok!
This makes me want to learn how to ride a bike but it's so hot where I live. 😫

Yes, I like the bike ride, its smooth and moves faster then walking. but its all good, : )
I love seeing the architecture in different countries. I have not been to Japan yet. But it reminds me of the manga cartoons.
I used to have a 10 speed bike, and riding on Maui was mostly hill. I like both the quiet and talking, but I LOVE Satoshi's cooking videos! 🚴
The video was really smooth & audio was great. Two thumbs up!

Yes - more talking videos. This one is working very well!
Hi Shinichi. E bike is good for hills. People ride them here in Portland Oregon. The electric assist is quite helpful.
Lonely places but beautiful and very clean.
These bike riding videos are very relaxing. I like both those with you talking and those without, but I would probably watch those with you talking as you ride before the others. Hope you have success with this concept.
I love Tokyo its so quiet calm. And beautiful. This video helps me get out and about to see more of a beautiful country

Thanks for another fun & relaxing ride through Tokyo, Shinichi!
