Hi A Y, I do appreciate he way you do these videos, what I like is the clear way you film and show the signs as they are presented, this makes it very clear that the rules displayed apply only to those within the boundaries, this has to be true because otherwise it would be impossible to know what the rules are until you have broken them! In fact at least one of the signs specifies that condition and states that they only apply within!. This very clearly shows that none of the 'rules' apply to anyone outside. This time when the police do turn up they do at least wait until you land your drone and then get out of the vehicle. It is a bit sad that they don't actually know whether or not you are committing an offence, surely they must have some real evidence just to initiate an enquiry, they claim then that they are acting on suspicion of an offence is because they cannot assert that an offence has been committed because that is for a judge or magistrate to establish. This somewhat subtle distinction is they background to the error they make but they should understand what the rules really are and why. In order to cover their tracks and hide their foolishness she spouts all the usual copwaffle about 'upsetting' people, surely it is up to them to make the effort to reassure them that they have nothing to worry about, not have a go at you for setting them off. Your courtesy and consideration is way above and beyond your duty, they should be paying you for your help!. Cheers, Richard.

There is a small no fly zone around the prison so you can't fly too close or over the walls (DJI software prevents that by default and you was outside the Geo Zone), there's a much bigger exclusion zone that covers almost the whole of Wakefield BUT it only applies to Helicopters, hence your drone still let you fly: "R321 Wakefield Applies to helicopters only. Except those operated by or on behalf of UK Police Forces". There's also no laws preventing you filming in to or through restricted airspace.
Fairly decent encounter with the old bill but I find it so hard to understand why the PCSO says that they are not allowed a real British flag but are allowed to wear their gang one which is disrespectful to our glorious royal family (half of which should have been able to get a good view of your drone from their prison cells if there was any justice)
I'm surprised reading the flight restriction outside of the prison is only for helicopters, but great video mate, been watching your videos for a while now, gotta say I'm mostly impressed apart from parking in the car park of Carr Gate Training Centre, rookie mistake that one, but I've made a similar mistake in the past, I'm planning on heading up to Yorkshire again soon, hit me up if you want, always appreciate teaming up with other auditors. I plan on visiting a few sites in Doncaster, don't know if you'd be interested, but hit me up if you are, have a good one dude and respect.
A RID unit is short for (Regimented Inmate Discipline) it’s a unit for newly arrived inmates where they stay for the first 2 weeks before moving into the prison system. Also used for inmates who fail to do the assignments given by staff are subject to disciplinary proceedings. It can be used for focused inmate training and supportive help with disruptive behaviours and any other similar issues (i.e. counselling therapies). Hope this helps 😊

The areas OVER the prison are restricted. Why doesn't the police woman check it out? The bloody thing won't allow you into that restricted Airspace. Common theme with police. Just check it out, then that saves a lot of copslaining.
As a complete aside, it's very refreshing to see the Union Flag flying in the correct position. Flag protocol tells us that on flagstaffs of equal height the principal position is to the viewer's left....Well done 👍🇬🇧
WPC was sound, all she wanted to know was that you hadn't flown over the prison, and all you had to say was that the drone software wouldn't allow you to do that. This has implications for the inmates of the prison cos if the Governor thinks you're flying over they can lockdown the inmates, so bear that in mind, this isn't just about you. The PCSO, asking to see footage of where you've flown or mapped footage of your route, that means they don't believe what you've told them. They need to F off, but again, the WPC was sound, she was polite and engaging, and the fact that the PCSO got out of the van and she didn't was misleading, she did better than him.

AY, that 'Urban House' that you passed on Love Lane (that's the lane you walked up with the double yellow lines) is a centre for all these refugees that come over from countries to flee the wars and stuff that is going on. Some of them will have been the 'small boat' people that's been in the news.....
Ex Prisoners usually are the best auditors of prisons. They seem to be aware of the nature of different prisons. I wonder if they ever ask them . Prisoners currently serving are unlikely to want to be frank.
