Tony Richardson was a good RB1 before being switched to FB, and he became a spectacular blocking FB, even with his running skills. If carson can cath well, this opens up a 2 back spot for him, with KCs speed at receiver spreading the field, the short throws and runs and catches could open up for pacheco and Steele.

Why does sports media continue this weird narrative that Mahomes took (and continues to take) a discount? He signed the most lucrative American sports contract of all-time. Now half the teams are paying guys that aren't as good, much more money. He didn't take a discount, he isn't underpaid. Other QBs have managed to become quite overpaid 5 years after Mahomes signed for half a billion dollars. The Chiefs just locked him up early by paying him an astronomical amount for the next decade. If your favorite GM paid your QB more than what Mahomes is making, and your team isn't getting the same results as the Chiefs - sounds like that's the bad contract to me.

Is there still a fullback position in the NFL? Watching him run I fully thought he was a fullback, tree trunk legs running downhill.

Honestly if he can catch as well, that ooens up a great spot for him as a FB. he can be a bruising runner, and catch adding another weapon. FB is the spot for him.

@@alexanderblackburn4520 He is too small to play FB. Nate Eachus was #3 in preseason yards, Chiefs inexplicably played him at Fullback (only 212 lbs) and he only lasted 11 games in the NFL before retiring from in-season concussions. Playing Steele as a 225 lbs fullback will lead to wasted talent. Keep him at his natural position which is running back.
