** TWO CHANGES ** First it looks like the Bleed chance we have in our weapon sockets (30%) is not working for the totems and the bleeds I was getting were from chance I had on jewels in the tree so put something else in the sockets on your weapons also don't worry about life on kill with the weapon we don't inherit it (sorry for the inconvenience), I would say something for survivability. Second I realized that when I switched my tree around, I dropped Shattering blow key passive which gives us armor break on heavy stun so we will want to spec out of the Breakage key passive cluster and spec into the Shattering Blow/Flip the Script cluster for 50% armour break on heavy stun, planner tree will be updated with the changes ** What's up guys so here is my Shockwave totem build that is an absolute beast. It's a very well-rounded build that does tons of damage with good survivability and clear all in one, and to top it off this is a one button build so it will save your hands from smashing tons of keys constantly making it a very laid-back playstyle. I have really enjoyed this build, and I will be taking it even further with damage/survivability so keep an eye out for an optimized version in the very near future. Playing a Warbringer version of this build and its such a blast. FYI I don't know if anyone has mentioned this here but you can run a second Shockwave Totem with Overabundance for a 4th Totem. It's not essential but great for utility. Currently using it with Overabundance - persistence (to counter the 50% less duration) - maim - font of blood - culling strike
Impressive Guide, as a first time PoE player and Warrior as my First choice I did pick Shockwave totem as soon as available and steered the passive tree into all major totem clusters. However at the time I picked Warbringer so I am trying to capitalize on fully broken armor along with what you already shared. Thnx for the insights!
I made basically this build but went giants with 2 +7 mele skills mauls for near lv 40 gems because i saw the damage scaling is exponential for gem lvls and way more damage/clearspeed and better armor break on that armor break skill than even specing into it on the tree using lower lv gems. U need a lot of life recovery and have to change how you move around the map to not get oneshot but its insanely fast. You can spec entirely out of armor break and just rely on the full armor break on stun support on boneshatter and +mele damage on stun skill tree nodes for damage which give bigger damage multi, Theres like 2 that give +50% at least. This should give you enough nodes to take the third totem damage space on the tree. This will let you take the armor nodes that have bonuses like 25% of ur armor applied to fire, 250% armor on crit etc which are better defensively.
Would love to see a leveling guide for this im currently lvl 28 and act 2 is getting tough cause the totem nodes and mana is very scarce and out of the way!
Great video and this build is a god. The only issue i have is the visual effect of the totem. Once they start explosion, I can not see anything, and the screen keeps shaking. Is there a setting to turn off things like this?

I believe Titans ascendency Skill that gives +50% to Small passives is what gives the Totems this insane Area of effect and stun buildup Warbringer has the : Armor break can go down in the negative but i believe its still not correctly calculated , maybe with the Ancestral Spirits you could get more mob distraction.
Did you jump straight into Totems when you first unlocked them or would this be better to jump into after some levels? Any idea how this compares to Warbringer?

Why not the gemling ascendancy? Shockwave totem scales atk speed with quality. You can strenght stack and have free +1lv and +16% quality, double 2h weapon with +7melee skills and it's done. What do you think?

@@arntorirvine2779 you can only do it on amulets, hover over the passive in the tree with your cursor and hold down alt it will show you which distilled you need to allocate it.
I have messed with them a bit and from testing I have done (which isn't a lot so far) shockwave seems to be the best for clear and dps but I am going to do more testing. I was trying out molten strike which wasn't bad, but sunder didn't really feel to good idk though will see.

I want to ask that how you manage to go all the campaign with only totem shockwave cause I’m currently stuck at lvl 30 in final boss act 2 I have been following your build and my totem only dealt 200 dps and it’s so hard for me to get through the boss even clear the map also tuff so do you have any advice for me thanks
I didn't use totems I used earthquake and mace strike the regular attack. I would suggest using those they are strong. just throw in whatever damage supports, preferably like brutality and close combat heft, concentrated effect. Whichever you have.
@ so if i moved back to use earthquake and mace strike do I have to also reset all my tree points because i have been following the tree points for totem already so idk if I’m keep the tree points for totem will it be bad for shockwave or not. I can change the skills but the tree points is the hard thing right now!
Nothing it’s tankier. Just go svallin with turtle charm. You can also get a lot more max res. Will do less damage but it can go svallin for lucky block with turtle charm which is crazy survivability.
@@herpityderp lucky block means the block chance rolls twice and it takes the higher result. When you have 50% it rolls the chance to block twice to see if you successfully block. Monster hits you first roll doesnt block but the second one does then you blocked the hit. 50% with lucky averages out to 75% Less block on turtle charm makes it much harder to reach 75% block so the - max block from svallin is actually not that bad of a downside. The node before turtle charm makes the shield base block 40% which makes svallin insanely better. Turtle charm allows you to block aoe damage since they are considered hits. Normally block only blocks strikes and projectiles but with turtle charm you can block all slams and aoe things monsters do. This includes ground effects that are not degens. Not entirely sure if we can block the red glow boss attacks with turtle charm as I haven’t tested it yet but heard from someone that you might be able to. Basically with svallin if you can get 50% block which isn’t that easy to do with turtle charm you will have 75% block chance and can block all hits including aoe. It gets even better if you can push 60-65% block then it’s something close to 90% block chance. This combined with the roll mechanic makes warbringer insanely tanky to anything that isn’t a degen. Those we can mitigate by getting more max resistance and life recovery.
the upside to warbringer is you can use a shout and detonate corpses for more clearspeed he has an ascendency skill that spawns animals when you spawn totems free armor break on damage, no need for sockets or anything else
Well in the tooltip it will show you how much block chance you have (up to 75% cap) but if you raise your shield then you can block all hits unless they are power hits where the monster/boss flashes red before performing the attack, those can't be blocked
I dont understand totem scaling at all, I've put brutality, heavy swing and martial tempo on my shockwave totem, I have a +5 melee skills weapon and its DPS is listed as 950? how are people getting like 30k?
@@darthgriamor7151 well your only on a 4 link's probably nowhere near the level of mine which is 30 currently. Plus all the damage on tree/jewels/on gear. Everything adds up, I cover it all in the vid

@@Desstructor37 Its much harder. Titans ascendancy is op. Its why i avoided going war bringer i read the passives and knew they were weak because they dont scale together.

Drop armor break stuff since our Ascendancy makes it free. Get svallin and turtle charm for insane tank. Get jagged ground support on shockwave and get the other totem set up with +1 totem limit support and earthquake. Link it with increased duration of ground effects and skill duration to make the earthquake last as long as possible so it’s triggered by shockwave. Warbinger is less damage but a lot more tanky when you get svallin with turtle charm.

@@dowddash in the skill tree there are 2 nodes that give +1 each making it a total of 3 u can have at all times. And also yes I'm resummoning frequently also but 3 is the max.

Yes, I cover all that in the gear section, totems just don't get anything that boosts your weapons damage. For instance, if you had 16% attack speed on your weapon that would be applying to the weapons actual base damage which the totems would not get but anywhere else gear/in the tree totems would get any increase to attack speed.
what do you think about dual wield weapon swap with totem points and shield in offhand with block points? seems to work well for progressing on budget. I swap to shield by using active block or shield charge.
@@bruvkek4629 You could but the problem is it makes you real squishy and in maps you are constantly recasting new totems as you move so you would not have your shield out to often also the cost of another plus 7 levels would be insane. Probably like 900 each cast or around there.
@@bruvkek4629 you would have to manually weapon swap to drop the totems and then switch back to shield right away. I would only recommend doing this when the boss is stunned or you know you won’t get hit. Can be risky but I think it’s worth it on a boss stun or at the start of a fight when the boss isn’t active yet. You can then use resonating shield to quickly swap back to your shield setup.

im trying this build, but for some reason my totems arent gaining the bleed chance on hit from the sockets on my weapon at all, anyone know why this would be the case?
yup, as soon as i socketed a gem with bleeding it applied to the totem, but still not getting the bonus from the sockets on the weapon to my totems, might want to look for sockets on weapon that would be better, i doo however feel like they should make a change to where it does apply because the shockwave totem uses slam, which is tagged as a melee skill
You can use this as soon as you are able to get totems till endgame. and early on I would just say focus on damage and getting the 2 key passives that give +1 to extra totems each along with totem placement speed nodes/ strength and other stuff you need.
@@rnovoselsky Well focus on dmg/survivability on gear so resistances life strength etc. etc. then whatever dmg you can come across. But I more meant on the passive tree focusing on damage and getting the important totem nodes like both +1 to totem passives so you can have 3 totems/placement speed/raw dmg/attack speed.
Quick question: Does gain life in kill work with totems? I tried it out and it didn't work for me. And with this build we never hit with weapon anyway 🤔

I’m really curious what the damage difference is between the hulking form on titan and the imploding impact on warbringer, reducing armor below 0. In assume on map clear, the titan is better but with boss with high armor, the increase to damage is high
Well, if we take crushing blows and surprising strength as titan, I think for sure that would be far more damage plus hulking form is extremely strong. I think they can both be made good really.
I’m really curious. The 40% more to stunned enemies is a huge spike, but it’s only when Stunned and I feel like full armor break on late game bosses is probably up in the 60% or more? Since they reduce damage by about that with armor? I’ll just have to get to late game and see how much my totem damage increases. I feel like titan is probably more though. I went warbringer for shockwave armor break totems, didn’t realize at the time how easy armor break is on any warrior class
@@nonamemannameless1600 You can just take armor break on stun support with boneshatter which will now apply both at the same time. Then you only need to scale your mele damage on stun effects for the biggest damage no need for negative armor break that takes time to scale up vs this method which already kills bosses in 10 seconds for way less investment on the tree that you can now put into better defensive options or even higher gem lvs if u stack more str and flask recovery.
You could use unique gloves for “any kills in your presence count as yours” for that, but in cost of +1skill and other stats from rare ones. But leech rate or life on kill will go crazy
@@james_tiberius_kirk73 you use the distilled oils that drop from delirium, like 'Distilled Paranoia' for instance. They are the funky looking little vials that have different colors and names. If you hover over the key passive in the skill tree and hold alt it will show you which distilled you need for the enchantment

How does it feel to not take the 50% totem placement range on the top? Also, there is one node (impact force) which according to my testing does not work for totems since it has a slighrly different wordig compared to the other aoe nodes.
@@bastianstieg819 Thats because the node does not give AOE it gives 'area damage' so you will only see a slight increase to damage not AOE in the tooltip.
Ever tried to use a second weapon slot as a scepter? I tested the + melee bonus and it applies on cast, so you set your totem to the +7 and swap to increase damage? I haven’t tried yet
Yeah, with weapon swap you could get +7 more by dual wielding but you lose a lot of survivability, maybe with more tankinis we could make a setup like that doing heaps of damage. definitely juggled it around
@@XPGamess if u get some ruby jewels with weapon swap speed u could cast the totems with the dualwield setup and switch back immediately after the totem placement to the shield setup by using something like seismic cry for example. with quality and a high enough lvl it should have enough war cry speed
Maybe they will make a weapon swap on movement? Ha that’d sweet. The allies get bonus attack speed and flat physical is a huge boost. You could ditch giants blood and just have a 2 hander set to totems only for the +7. You need high int though kinda sucks
Ive stacked like you 2 bleed gems in my weapon but this does noting in my skill when i look at the totem damg i also do not see bleed damg on my enemies ?

correct me if im wrong, but 'cannibalism' and 'life on kill' does not work when the TOTEMS get the kill. Im playing the exact same build, and i took that off awhile ago. I just opened a map after watching your version, slapped on cannib, slapped on life on kill gear, drained my life to 10%, killed maybe 20-30 mobs and did not gain a single hp back that wasn't from passive regen. Just like the charm 'golden luck' or w/e gives you 20 rarity on rare/unique kills, it never procs because YOU never kill them, your totems do.
Well, I have to tell you that is actually incorrect Cannibalism 100% works with totems, and you receive the life on kill I have done testing, and it is night and day having it and not having it.
@@XPGamess "Kills made by totems are credited to the creator of the totem for the purposes of experience gain, but effects such as life gain on kill will not affect the player" - POE 1 wiki, same thing im experiencing in poe 2. Like i said, you have 400 hp regen so you see your hp skyrocketing constantly - but i have 0 investment, so you can see it clearly doesn't work just like in poe 1.
@@alanbulawa no bud you are wrong, please read this clearly, I have properly tested this your character gets the life on kill, you cannot tell me different. Plus don't come back with POE 1 info for poe 2. They are different games.
@@alanbulawa it can work only if you use the gloves that makes allies in your presence count as you killing. I don’t think it’s worth losing a glove slot for it though because that is gem levels. You also would have to invest into life on kill.

@@Jack-op8bb because the attack speed you get on a weapon specifically impacts the base attack speed of the actual weapon, attack speed anywhere else goes to you directly which inherently goes to your totems

@@XPGamess Pretty sure you could use the wep set system to snapshot totem dmg with 2x2hander on totem cast and then swap back to shield by using another skill or manual keybind. But as you said, you already clear all content so why bother pressing more buttons! :) Great vid!
Initially went with titan for a different build so this is what I spec'd with but it's actually really good, just like I'm sure warbringer can be also.

Confused by your guide. You are using a 2-handed mace + shield but in the description you say you are using two 2-hander maces. I'm assuming the description is incorrect based on your video.
my Shockwave Totem do not Triger Jagged Ground effect I saw in your video when you use Shockwave Totem I saw the effect Ground crack But I don't have that effect
@@poovitnitayaboon2673 that wasn't Jagged ground they just make that effect it all depends on your graphics settings when they slam Jagged ground it makes a sparkling effect that is very distinct
I'm confused about how armour break comes into this? You mentioned taking some passive points to increase armour break but the totems don't seem to break armour
@@XPGamess Gotcha, I'm using Armour Breaker as a melee attack with Demolisher, Break Posutre, Rupture Only one I think is really important is Demolisher --- seems really good when you got a second to bonk bosses it breaks about 8k armour a swing. @@XPGamess can answer that for you - life leech only works for who ever deals the dmg, your totems deal the dmg so they get the leech. Aka no hp back for you unfortunately
Leech sucks at the moment all the monsters resist like 90% of it and you only leech from one source. Best source of healing are regen or flask effect stacking with an instant flask.
i'm new to poe and i don't understand how is damage calculated in this game. You have +7 skills it's nice but weapon dmg is half of mine (i'm 64 and my weapon is lvl 45 with % incerased dmg). I don't know how to pick a weapon.
Your totems do not inherit any damage from your weapon aside from the + to skill levels, so that is all you are worried about on your weapon, nothing else matters.
@@rjusticebringer totems use their own weapon. This means that the dps of the weapon doesn’t matter if you will be only using totems. The only thing on the weapon that matters is the + gem levels for damage. If you are using Avatar of Fire then elemental damage % roll on the weapon will work as far as I know. Other things to consider when looking for a weapon for totems is the strength requirement of the weapon. With Giants grip anything higher than I’d say 120 is going to be hard to fit in and make gearing harder. Another thing you might want on a weapon is attack speed for shield charge and strength as that will give you a bit more life. Getting a low strength req weapon with attack speed strength and 6-7 gem levels though will be insanely expensive so best to just setting for gems and low requirement. The only time you might actually care about the weapon damage of the weapon is if you also plan to attack alongside your totems. But at that point the weapon you will need will require 600+ strength with giants blood and will be INSANELY expensive. Atleast 40 divines to even start looking for good dps weapon with 6-7 gem levels. I was going to test how Vertex interacts with giants blood. Giants blood basically gives 200% increased str requirement but the wording is not 200% increased but tripled. Vertex says 50% reduced. The question is how it interacts with giants grip. Will it make the requirements increase 150% or reduce the requirements before or after giants blood. If it’s the latter then I think the real endgame is going to be getting a crazy dps 2 hander with 6-7 gems. Because let’s say 220 weapon becomes 660 with giants blood but then vertex lowers it down to 330. 330 is entirely doable and it would let you drop totems and attack on top of it.

whats allowing you to break armour? i can see all the boosted armour break. but whats enabling the breakage in the first place?
@@XPGamess armour doesn't break by itself. Physical damage causes stun buildup but doesn't cause armour break. You need something to trigger that.

In graphics I turned on dynamic culling and it seemed to help me out with the clutter in combat. Give it a try

Nice build, I think totem is really underrated, I've cleared all end game contents with Titan sunder totem, with just 30ex gears total.

I have messed with them a bit and from testing I have done (which isn't a lot so far) shockwave seems to be the best for clear and dps but I am going to do more testing. I was trying out molten strike which wasn't bad, but sunder didn't really feel to good idk though will see.

I want to ask that how you manage to go all the campaign with only totem shockwave cause I’m currently stuck at lvl 30 in final boss act 2 I have been following your build and my totem only dealt 200 dps and it’s so hard for me to get through the boss even clear the map also tuff so do you have any advice for me thanks
I didn't use totems I used earthquake and mace strike the regular attack. I would suggest using those they are strong. just throw in whatever damage supports, preferably like brutality and close combat heft, concentrated effect. Whichever you have.
@ so if i moved back to use earthquake and mace strike do I have to also reset all my tree points because i have been following the tree points for totem already so idk if I’m keep the tree points for totem will it be bad for shockwave or not. I can change the skills but the tree points is the hard thing right now!

Nothing it’s tankier. Just go svallin with turtle charm.
You can also get a lot more max res.
Will do less damage but it can go svallin for lucky block with turtle charm which is crazy survivability.

@@herpityderp lucky block means the block chance rolls twice and it takes the higher result.
When you have 50% it rolls the chance to block twice to see if you successfully block. Monster hits you first roll doesnt block but the second one does then you blocked the hit.
50% with lucky averages out to 75%
Less block on turtle charm makes it much harder to reach 75% block so the - max block from svallin is actually not that bad of a downside. The node before turtle charm makes the shield base block 40% which makes svallin insanely better.
Turtle charm allows you to block aoe damage since they are considered hits. Normally block only blocks strikes and projectiles but with turtle charm you can block all slams and aoe things monsters do. This includes ground effects that are not degens.
Not entirely sure if we can block the red glow boss attacks with turtle charm as I haven’t tested it yet but heard from someone that you might be able to.
Basically with svallin if you can get 50% block which isn’t that easy to do with turtle charm you will have 75% block chance and can block all hits including aoe.
It gets even better if you can push 60-65% block then it’s something close to 90% block chance. This combined with the roll mechanic makes warbringer insanely tanky to anything that isn’t a degen. Those we can mitigate by getting more max resistance and life recovery.

Thats a good node it adds a lot of damage since we heavy stun enemies/bosses constantly

Well in the tooltip it will show you how much block chance you have (up to 75% cap) but if you raise your shield then you can block all hits unless they are power hits where the monster/boss flashes red before performing the attack, those can't be blocked
I dont understand totem scaling at all, I've put brutality, heavy swing and martial tempo on my shockwave totem, I have a +5 melee skills weapon and its DPS is listed as 950? how are people getting like 30k?

@@Desstructor37 Its much harder. Titans ascendancy is op. Its why i avoided going war bringer i read the passives and knew they were weak because they dont scale together.

Yes, totems would benefit from rage without the support. Only problem is it's hard to sustain rage with totems.

Drop armor break stuff since our Ascendancy makes it free.
Get svallin and turtle charm for insane tank.
Get jagged ground support on shockwave and get the other totem set up with +1 totem limit support and earthquake. Link it with increased duration of ground effects and skill duration to make the earthquake last as long as possible so it’s triggered by shockwave.
Warbinger is less damage but a lot more tanky when you get svallin with turtle charm.

@@dowddash in the skill tree there are 2 nodes that give +1 each making it a total of 3 u can have at all times. And also yes I'm resummoning frequently also but 3 is the max.

Yes, I cover all that in the gear section, totems just don't get anything that boosts your weapons damage. For instance, if you had 16% attack speed on your weapon that would be applying to the weapons actual base damage which the totems would not get but anywhere else gear/in the tree totems would get any increase to attack speed.

what do you think about dual wield weapon swap with totem points and shield in offhand with block points? seems to work well for progressing on budget. I swap to shield by using active block or shield charge.
@@bruvkek4629 You could but the problem is it makes you real squishy and in maps you are constantly recasting new totems as you move so you would not have your shield out to often also the cost of another plus 7 levels would be insane. Probably like 900 each cast or around there.

I would only recommend doing this when the boss is stunned or you know you won’t get hit.
Can be risky but I think it’s worth it on a boss stun or at the start of a fight when the boss isn’t active yet. You can then use resonating shield to quickly swap back to your shield setup.

yup, as soon as i socketed a gem with bleeding it applied to the totem, but still not getting the bonus from the sockets on the weapon to my totems, might want to look for sockets on weapon that would be better, i doo however feel like they should make a change to where it does apply because the shockwave totem uses slam, which is tagged as a melee skill

You can use this as soon as you are able to get totems till endgame. and early on I would just say focus on damage and getting the 2 key passives that give +1 to extra totems each along with totem placement speed nodes/ strength and other stuff you need.
Does “Focus on damage” mean “+phys damage to attack” On gloves and rings?
@@rnovoselsky Well focus on dmg/survivability on gear so resistances life strength etc. etc. then whatever dmg you can come across. But I more meant on the passive tree focusing on damage and getting the important totem nodes like both +1 to totem passives so you can have 3 totems/placement speed/raw dmg/attack speed.

Totems dont scale at all from your weapon damage. I talk about it specifically in the gear section of the guide

I’m really curious what the damage difference is between the hulking form on titan and the imploding impact on warbringer, reducing armor below 0. In assume on map clear, the titan is better but with boss with high armor, the increase to damage is high
Well, if we take crushing blows and surprising strength as titan, I think for sure that would be far more damage plus hulking form is extremely strong. I think they can both be made good really.
I’m really curious. The 40% more to stunned enemies is a huge spike, but it’s only when Stunned and I feel like full armor break on late game bosses is probably up in the 60% or more? Since they reduce damage by about that with armor? I’ll just have to get to late game and see how much my totem damage increases. I feel like titan is probably more though. I went warbringer for shockwave armor break totems, didn’t realize at the time how easy armor break is on any warrior class
@@nonamemannameless1600 You can just take armor break on stun support with boneshatter which will now apply both at the same time. Then you only need to scale your mele damage on stun effects for the biggest damage no need for negative armor break that takes time to scale up vs this method which already kills bosses in 10 seconds for way less investment on the tree that you can now put into better defensive options or even higher gem lvs if u stack more str and flask recovery.
Do you know if Totems are affected by the Leech Life Passive skills?
If totems leech life, it only goes to them not you, but yes I'm sure they would get the benefits
You could use unique gloves for “any kills in your presence count as yours” for that, but in cost of +1skill and other stats from rare ones. But leech rate or life on kill will go crazy

How do you allocate a skill to the Amulet- in your case “Lay Siege” without actually having it in your Passive Skill Tree?
@@james_tiberius_kirk73 you use the distilled oils that drop from delirium, like 'Distilled Paranoia' for instance. They are the funky looking little vials that have different colors and names. If you hover over the key passive in the skill tree and hold alt it will show you which distilled you need for the enchantment

How does it feel to not take the 50% totem placement range on the top? Also, there is one node (impact force) which according to my testing does not work for totems since it has a slighrly different wordig compared to the other aoe nodes.
Feels fine without the range plus impact force does work just checked. unspec with tooltip open then spec in and look at the damage. goes up
@ interesting, for me the totem shockwave area/radius stays the same no matter if i allocate the node or not.
@@bastianstieg819 Thats because the node does not give AOE it gives 'area damage' so you will only see a slight increase to damage not AOE in the tooltip.
Ever tried to use a second weapon slot as a scepter? I tested the + melee bonus and it applies on cast, so you set your totem to the +7 and swap to increase damage? I haven’t tried yet
Yeah, with weapon swap you could get +7 more by dual wielding but you lose a lot of survivability, maybe with more tankinis we could make a setup like that doing heaps of damage. definitely juggled it around
@@XPGamess if u get some ruby jewels with weapon swap speed u could cast the totems with the dualwield setup and switch back immediately after the totem placement to the shield setup by using something like seismic cry for example. with quality and a high enough lvl it should have enough war cry speed

Maybe they will make a weapon swap on movement? Ha that’d sweet. The allies get bonus attack speed and flat physical is a huge boost. You could ditch giants blood and just have a 2 hander set to totems only for the +7. You need high int though kinda sucks

correct me if im wrong, but 'cannibalism' and 'life on kill' does not work when the TOTEMS get the kill. Im playing the exact same build, and i took that off awhile ago. I just opened a map after watching your version, slapped on cannib, slapped on life on kill gear, drained my life to 10%, killed maybe 20-30 mobs and did not gain a single hp back that wasn't from passive regen.
Just like the charm 'golden luck' or w/e gives you 20 rarity on rare/unique kills, it never procs because YOU never kill them, your totems do.
Well, I have to tell you that is actually incorrect Cannibalism 100% works with totems, and you receive the life on kill I have done testing, and it is night and day having it and not having it.
@@XPGamess "Kills made by totems are credited to the creator of the totem for the purposes of experience gain, but effects such as life gain on kill will not affect the player" - POE 1 wiki, same thing im experiencing in poe 2. Like i said, you have 400 hp regen so you see your hp skyrocketing constantly - but i have 0 investment, so you can see it clearly doesn't work just like in poe 1.
@@alanbulawa no bud you are wrong, please read this clearly, I have properly tested this your character gets the life on kill, you cannot tell me different. Plus don't come back with POE 1 info for poe 2. They are different games.

I don’t think it’s worth losing a glove slot for it though because that is gem levels. You also would have to invest into life on kill.

For increasing the totem damage, attack speed on weapon doesn't work but on gloves work, why?
@@Jack-op8bb because the attack speed you get on a weapon specifically impacts the base attack speed of the actual weapon, attack speed anywhere else goes to you directly which inherently goes to your totems

Whatever you can get till you can get better, the damage scales a lot with gem levels.

Initially went with titan for a different build so this is what I spec'd with but it's actually really good, just like I'm sure warbringer can be also.

running my dual wield warbringer and it works out pretty well too. Speically against bosses it just crushes.
For some reason my totem kills aren’t healing me at all with cannibalism slotted in. Is this something you’ve noticed, or am I just missing something?
He made a lot of mistakes in the video, on kill effects doesnt work on totems, same for flat heal on weapon and cannibalism
Confused by your guide. You are using a 2-handed mace + shield but in the description you say you are using two 2-hander maces. I'm assuming the description is incorrect based on your video.

when you use Shockwave Totem I saw the effect Ground crack But I don't have that effect

Only one I think is really important is Demolisher --- seems really good when you got a second to bonk bosses it breaks about 8k armour a swing.

@@XPGamess can answer that for you - life leech only works for who ever deals the dmg, your totems deal the dmg so they get the leech. Aka no hp back for you unfortunately

Leech sucks at the moment all the monsters resist like 90% of it and you only leech from one source. Best source of healing are regen or flask effect stacking with an instant flask.

why not dual wield and get an addition +7 to melee skills? ...
One it would drive the cost to cast through the roof probably like 800-900, two it would be super squishy in maps/bosses

i'm new to poe and i don't understand how is damage calculated in this game. You have +7 skills it's nice but weapon dmg is half of mine (i'm 64 and my weapon is lvl 45 with % incerased dmg). I don't know how to pick a weapon.
Your totems do not inherit any damage from your weapon aside from the + to skill levels, so that is all you are worried about on your weapon, nothing else matters.
@@rjusticebringer totems use their own weapon. This means that the dps of the weapon doesn’t matter if you will be only using totems.
The only thing on the weapon that matters is the + gem levels for damage.
If you are using Avatar of Fire then elemental damage % roll on the weapon will work as far as I know.
Other things to consider when looking for a weapon for totems is the strength requirement of the weapon. With Giants grip anything higher than I’d say 120 is going to be hard to fit in and make gearing harder.
Another thing you might want on a weapon is attack speed for shield charge and strength as that will give you a bit more life.
Getting a low strength req weapon with attack speed strength and 6-7 gem levels though will be insanely expensive so best to just setting for gems and low requirement.
The only time you might actually care about the weapon damage of the weapon is if you also plan to attack alongside your totems. But at that point the weapon you will need will require 600+ strength with giants blood and will be INSANELY expensive. Atleast 40 divines to even start looking for good dps weapon with 6-7 gem levels.
I was going to test how Vertex interacts with giants blood. Giants blood basically gives 200% increased str requirement but the wording is not 200% increased but tripled.
Vertex says 50% reduced. The question is how it interacts with giants grip. Will it make the requirements increase 150% or reduce the requirements before or after giants blood.
If it’s the latter then I think the real endgame is going to be getting a crazy dps 2 hander with 6-7 gems.
Because let’s say 220 weapon becomes 660 with giants blood but then vertex lowers it down to 330. 330 is entirely doable and it would let you drop totems and attack on top of it.
Why totem dmg is scalling with lighting, cold and fire flat dmg, if u use brutality Gem ("supported skill deal no elemental dmg")?
