Redi beach is not a good beach. Because of mining of iron ore by govt this whole area's ecology is getting destroyed. The underground water table is also contaminated. Villagers have started to get health issues such as kidney stone and thyroid. Since, the mine employees the people from villages they are financially dependent on them. But overall the whole situation is a disaster. Sindhudurg is declared one of the tourism district of Maharashtra so such activities should be stopped.
