Javafx. Making Javafx easier for beginners is fine but not the important move. Most important and a disaster is the missing autoupdate and deployment possibilities. Imagine you wrote your first beginners app which you want to share with your friends. How? Programming the tool was easy compared to get it working on any desktop pc. The main issue is to overcome the deployment problem - specially on a mac. Specially for beginners. Later - one realises code changes are needed - the essence of any software - how to update your friends/customers software? Just not easily doable. Even for more advanced programmers. As you also want to focus on your own software and not deployment. Without deployment, any beginner will not use it for a long time - just for educational stuff. Javafx is great with so many options. It should not exist with focus on education! Thats just bonus as it is easy. But a programmer has to do a lot of investment in deployment. That is the most important and missing thingy. Deployment, mainly autoupdate.
You're kidding me, I just kinda ditched JavaFX because although I like it a lot, the new developments lately are things like "look we have a new about window!". Which put me off a bit in general. This was for scenebuilder. And I get you want a stable library... but you kind of also need new developments once in a while.
Thank you for the news! It’s always great to see you!
i love when the videos are short and compact
Great video as usual. Your enthusiasm is infectious :)
That's probably the best possible compliment, thank you! May you stay enthusiastic about Java for years to come. 😃
Another great explanation. Keep this content coming. Sie rocken, Sir
