@@kanedaku Yeah, its weird to say but it felt a little too current. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but personally I’ve always found it uncomfortable to watch when stuff does that. Its not even the politics (though that did get way too serious for a comedy show to still be funny and I would argue it wasn’t the best medium to deliver that message). It just feels too “real” and not fictional enough and it ends up feeling jarring/cringey and taking me out of the narrative. I can’t even watch shows doing COVID and masks rn.
God, the room is honestly the best episode in the entire show. It takes place in a single setting (2 i guess if you include the room behind the interrogation glass) and it is done so incredibly well

The more you think about any joke, the less funny it is. There's a layer of absurdity and disbelief that lends to the humor and if you remove that, none of it's really that funny, these people would be insufferable and infuriating to be around. It's a symptom of watching shows like this over and over the way we do, the veneer of absurdity starts to fall away and we start viewing them like we view real people, which they aren't.
