You are my most favorite food presenter in my favorite destination, my first time to Vietnam. I got to try lots of different foods. I actually got a little bit sick of fish and started eating a lot of white rice.
My first trip was with my girlfriend, and she wasn’t adventurous for food as I was . All my friends have traveled to Vietnam under my recommendation and they loved it.. and I share your channel with them before they go.
I would love to return, however I have a disability now, can’t walk long distances, I am in hospital in Auckland currently day 54.
Do you and your wife. Do tours.?
Funny story the big market in Ho Chi Minh, I went there daily, and every time I was trying to squeeze between the aisles
The Vietnamese people would rub my belly and go happy Buddha ! 😂

Since the weather in Dalat is temperate instead of cold like in Europe, the fish is ready for egg harvest faster (6 years instead of 12), making the eggs younger in comparison and thus fresher/healthier, that's why it tastes much creamier. The fresh water also helped with producing less unpleasant metabolites, ensuring the preferred flavour profile.

When you bend a fish's spine like that it doesn't struggle, it's a common fishing technique, it makes it easier to get the hook out, works better with some species than others. Trout just go limp and sit there if you hold them right.

Intriguing. The Christmas gathering that I attend annually features a caviar tasting. Last week, most people agreed that an American paddlefish roe was the best when eaten traditionally. When some idiot (who might have been me) suggested that we try them all on a slice of pannetone with some crème fraîche, the American paddlefish roe dropped to the bottom.
What I'm wondering is what exactly this "fake" caviar is that you found so easy to distinguish from "real" caviar. You attributed it being from a variety of fish other than Sturgeon. Unless Viet Nam has bizarrely harsh laws about what may or may not be labeled "caviar", I'm going to guess that the "fake" caviar wasn't fish roe at all. There are a lot of plant-based products in that are being pushed in that arena. However, I've yet to taste a one that has been in any way convincing.

If you don’t like fish eggs than all fish eggs will taste terrible.
Caviar is expensive because of supply and demand not because it taste good.

You generate and AI photo of two fishermen exchanging “stacks of cash” …. Such a trite and convenient summarization of a complex politico economic situation. You demonize capitalism while sweeping under the rug the ravenous financial need of a post communist regime and the general zeitgeist of the times. I’m not debating the facts of what is an overfishing tragedy, but I reject the soft rhetoric of what you’ve presented.

@ Vodka is best paired with caviar but have you ever heard of Scotch Whiskey?? Well, it can sometimes make mild mannered men into raging UA-cam critics. Your work is engaging, informative, and interesting. 👍🏼 All the best

The South Korean can develop Salmon fish farm in the tank temperature control like Antartica. I am sure people can develop sturgeon farm indoor. Australia want to jump into Sturgeon industry, they send you to vietnam ? watch out kids , million of eye watching you people , you might not see you mum again . Vietnamese can speak Aussie English very well, it all money and economic benefit. export Aussie beef to Vietnam ? 🤣 Argentina beef and European cattle better quality than Australian , you think Vietnam dont know ? we buy from you because it cheap. Caviar vs Kobe beef

VN has a long way to go before they enter the luxury food market. Just look at the facilities and hygiene standards. It's really poor.
