Thank you very much! I thought the green was "off" as well. I had never seen that color on an original Tonka. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
Great restoration. Thanks for showing off the baby picture. It reminded me of the time that my wife was looking at my old pictures and made the comment that puberty wasn't kind to me. I am sure you fared better. Thanks for posting these great restorations. Wishing you and your loved ones a merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year.
That is funny Robert. By the way that my wife laughs at my preteen and teenage pictures, I think time has so far been fair with me! If I continue to get good reactions, I may show another picture per restoration of me progressively getting older. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.
(1:35) Redd Foxx strikes again... (11:22) 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' reference - just be glad you're not the bad guy who drank from the wrong cup... Santa Claus definitely needed a new 'sleigh' to transport the presents from his workshop. Merry Christmas, and here's to hoping that 2021 is a better year for all of us...
What media do you use in your sandblaster? I'm using glass beads and you are having better luck than I am. Maybe my burnt on paint was just too tough to get off easily. Your truck looks good, great job. The powdercoating is really nice.
Thanks Rowland. I think that I purchased that windshield from Gasoline alley toys directly from their website. I like to purchase direct from them as the prices are the same and they don't have to pay the 12% ebay and payment fees.
@@RepairRestore It may be where I got mine....but it was listed on ebay.. I wasn't aware of them before...Thanks for the info... Hey!..while I'm thinking of it..I have one just like yours...and need to find the best paint stripper...Do you have any ideas?... i'd prefer one I can brush on...and wipe off after it sits awhile..as i have no wire buffer type of stipping device.. Thanks!
@@Rowlandph You could try white vinegar. It takes a few days, but you can just wipe the paint off. You have to neutralize the acid when you are done though.
Hi Cathy. The baby has nothing to do with the restoration. It is just a picture of me 36 years ago. Just a way for me to share a little about myself a little bit at a time. I may show another one in another video where I am just a tad bit older. I hope it was not too distracting.
Awesome restoration to Santa's ride. Merry Christmas.
Thanks, you too!
A BEAUTIFUL restoration Santa could leave under ANY tree! BETTER than factory new! MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Excelente restauracion de este camion volquete, mis saludos y respetos desde Venezuela, felices fiestas👊👍
Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
Awesome restauration. And with Christmas colors too!
Yes sir! The green and red it had seemed wrong to me. It needed to be green and red from the 8 ct box of crayons, not the 96 ct that I wished I had !
@@RepairRestore Wasn't it 64 with a built-in sharpener? ;)
@@StudioPluche I think that you are correct. Everything looks bigger to a kid!
Great video!!!!!
Thank you very much!

Such an beauty again! Cannu tell me the secret about the UV and peroxide trick with the white plastic renewing? Or do u have an video about that?
I do not have a video, but if you look up Retrobrite on UA-cam you should find some very good info!
X-mas style!!! ^_^
😀 Absolutely!
I shorten the handle and dip the handle in brush in electric tape or dip it
Right on !
👍🏻👍🏻
So glad you liked it!
Nice job I would like a candy apple METTALIC flake green bed ok and new windshield
That would be an awesome Christmas Custom!
Top 🇧🇷👋👋👋👋
obrigado!!
Does the driver have to get in Dukes of Hazzard style, because I don't think he's gonna get that door open? 🤔😁
The past few years Santa is having a hard time pretending to be like Bo Duke! His hood sliding days are over!
Just want to let you know...you can buy brand new windows...that match what is in it...on ebay!..

@@RepairRestore tHANKS!... I'll try that.. I assume...just soap and water would neutralize it?... If not, let me know..:)
@@Rowlandph I would baking soda and water. The vinegar is acidic so you need something basic to neutralize it.
