Hi, I understand that you weren't to know but the Saltire is a very offensive flag in Shetland.
You won't hear it from the media but we suffered centuries of cruel oppression from Scotland.
An example is the rich land owners(Lairds) who evicted families from their little rented croft houses and land to make way for sheep.
The henchmen from the Lairds would burn the little house to the ground so the families couldn't return.

NorthLink Ferry looks very nice... a shower is a welcome sight. The restaurant is a good place to hang out to eat and have a beer. Good thing your chair won't fly away while you're cruising to the 12 hr. trip to the Shetland islands... plenty of time to sample the local beer. Wonderful trip!!!! Looks exciting.
