I recently left Australia to join some of my closest friends Jazz & Crystal (AKA @vanwives) in their beautiful off-grid home in the woods cabin nestled deep in Nova Scotia, Canada. Girls . . . am I hearing this correctly . . . NO WATER + no electricity plus NO TOILET-bathroom INSIDE annnd it will be winter in Nova Scotia by late October 👀👀
That is SOME test on a relationship you are fixing to experience.
I soooo hope you have a mini tractor of sorts or snow blower to help push away snow to get to outhouse and safely to vehicle + yard so dogs can get out to go exercise and go to bathroom, haha. Also will you have the van under a large protection carport of sorts so you can get to it for anything . . . inquiring minds.

@doire aintu They are staying home this winter. Indoor projects are perfect for cold snowy days. They also just got a garage to put all of their tools, etc in so they have more room to work on the interior.
It's so wonderful to see you and the girls together. You are all healing and growing beautifully. That makes me happy.

Glad you were here. After Lee I couldn't watch anyone's channel that talked about her because I have some of the same issues. I waited for the Van Wives to talk about it and watched and cried a lot. I knew that their channel would be as it always is a safe spot for me. It's not that I thought that anyone else would be bad about it, certainly not, it's just that I knew Van Wives would do it in a way that would be safe for me to watch and help me process it. People sometimes talk about suicide in a way that is harmful to some of us without meaning to or even while meaning not to just because they don't understand. The Van Wives are a safe heart in the world. I miss Lee.

Oh my goodness you and Occy are my new addiction!! I know u get so many comments but I just found your utube channel a few weeks ago and have binged watched every one of them so sad and sorry about Lee she was a beautiful soul inside and out. I am sorta a nomad lol I am a travel ER nurse in the states working on a Navajo Indian reservation but live in Destin Fl. Really enjoyed this video Max. The love that you have for each other is so heartwarming. As I watched you play with their pups I kept thinking you must be missing Occy terribly. By the way, I find it so interesting that so many van lifers eventually seem to either buy a home, or look for land to build a more permanent home. And so many of you seem to be on the same timeline too, usually at about the 3 year mark of traveling.
I think the timing of the shutdown due to Covid also had a lot to do with many buying land and cabins.

So many ppl in Alaska (Where I’m from/Iive) live the same way because the summers are so short that they can only do so much before it gets cold, and halt construction or work slower with the space available.
