It's a superficial society so lots of people like superficial music they are not emotionally mature so they can't appreciate music that is. Those guys were just brought up to tell it like it is and most people are not apparently they try to make things something they are not.
I'll admit, this is a hard song to cover, well for me anyways. This song is just so perfect for Adam's voice, and I'm somewhat of a perfectionist so I really want things to be perfect. But hearing him sing this with ease is just inspiring, it makes me want to keep trying.
Adam Gontier's voice is one of the best I've heard in a really long time. You can not only hear the emotion in it, but it's like you can actually feel it. He is just amazing.

+Cale Coleman just a clarification, realize that he went into rehab before the recording of the One-X album. Hes been stone sober since then and currently states he will never go back to them. This being recorded in December 2009 was over 3 years after his rehab.
yeah he went through rehab during the recording of the "One-X Album". this is during their "Life Starts Now Album" just his new look he had on that new album.. most bands try to change their appearance every album.

He had a natural rasp, the rasp you hear here is him losing his voice unfortunately. Because of his use of the rasp he destroyed his vocal chords
