the easter eggs are plentiful. but they don't at all get in the way of the laymen enjoying the act. Its great. The kit kat, the fake palming before revealing an empty hand, the nods to Dani and Lennart. So much depth for those in the know. But its woven into the character so well, nothing feels out of place to anyone.

That brings up a curious question, why is Teller even mic'ed? I guess it's because the back of house listens in on their discussions about tricks to determine if they are right or not. Just figured they would flip it off much of the time since he's completely silent.
You’re right. Producers are probably listening to them. His mic recorded his voice, but they probably didn’t play it on the speakers at the theater, so the live audience doesn’t hear it.
