This 3 minutes Intro video is even better and more creative than the whole 2018 Robin Hood Cliché trash movie , I played this game and watched Russel Crowe's Robin Hood and I really enjoyed the story until this 2018 rip off came out and ruined my childhood 😑👎🏻 all of these beautiful morals we see in this video that we learned as kids and treasured them up don't exist in that rip off movie . They potraited Robin more as a thief instead of a noble man at the core who had the correct vision and decided to stay loyal to his real King and go against corrupted law .

These graphics were insane for me when I was 10. Always wished I'd help in creating such things when old and experienced enough.

It was pretty artistic and incredibly well done for the time. It never aimed for photorealism.

I used to love this game so much when i was young. My best childhood friend and me got hooked on this game. He died 5 years ago.
I‘m 27 now and sometimes come back to this random game intro because it gives me an incredible feeling of nostalgia.

Man I remember coming home from school in the afternoon, and getting on my dad's old HP laptop, and I'd boot this game up instantly and constantly replay the first few missions cz I wasn't good at the game😂 somehow even after a decade of not playing it, I still have that flute tune in my head that used to play at the sherwood safehouse. What a nostalgia rush

Man, this stuff was my childhood! I loved, and still love, this game!
In the original version, there was a bug that disabled the sound in the animated cutscenes. Despite that, you knew exactly what was going on, and it felt just as cool as you could expect. Just try playing this clip with the sound off and you'll know what I mean.
The game itself wasn't quite as exciting, but it was thrilling in its own right. It was a tactical stealth game with a helicopter view, like Desperados except in a medieval setting, and it worked perfectly as intended. You still risked being overwhelmed by enemies if you were careless, especially if your opponent had archers or crossbowmen, but being spotted wasn't an instant death sentance, and you could fight off a few guards at a time, several if you knew what you were doing. But the game actively encouraged restraint, so just brazenly killing anyone in your path, stealthily or otherwise, ultimately meant a harder endgame, meaning you had to learn how to take your enemies out with minimal force. This basically meant the best strategy was to knock your opponents out and tie them up, one-by-one, until you could overwhelm the remaining guards without killing them. It was slow and methodical, but it was exactly what the genre was designed for in the first place.
Honestly, I've played quite a few games in my time, and I've yet to find a game that quite matches The Legend of Sherwood. There have been similar games published since, but none which have been quite as good as this one.
