That should be left to the counties Registrar of Voters where you actually go in and say I would like to register to vote. Then they look at your paperwork to ensure you are able to vote by being a citizen.

Similar shenanigans in Michigan now. The State officials are trying to blame a couple of voters and local clerks for election fraud because on Election Day they were told they had already voted by mail. They claimed they didn’t and signed affidavits and received new ballots. Local sheriff and prosecutor got involved and determined clerks and voters acted properly. State arrested clerks and voters and held an extremely long, very weird press conference justifying their position that makes no sense and defies logic and reason. They should be investigating the mail in ballots, which is the most likely fraud. Makes no sense that one person would risk prison and even sign an affidavit to vote again just to gain one vote for their favorite candidate.

*US Resident here - This is not an "Error". AZ MVD employees and the management system purposely register people without their consent. This is not an error. Last year I got a travel license and I had to jump through hoops to get one. Its funny that registering doesn't require these many steps.*
A similar thing happened to me in Oregon. I traced it back to DMV and even though I was already registered to vote as a Republican, DMV changed my party affiliation to Democrat. When questioned about it, DMV staff told me that their supervisor insisted that all forms that were submitted without the registration question being completed would be filled in by DMV staff. The form clearly indicates that if there is no change to voter registration, that section is to be left blank. So why is DMV taking it upon themselves to alter an official document? Shouldn't that be considered a crime to alter or deface an official document?

The other day in the mail, I got a card stating that I WAS registered & that my party was Demorat!!! Similar shenanigans in Michigan now. The State officials are trying to blame a couple of voters and local clerks for election fraud because on Election Day they were told they had already voted by mail. They claimed they didn’t and signed affidavits and received new ballots. Local sheriff and prosecutor got involved and determined clerks and voters acted properly. State arrested clerks and voters and held an extremely long, very weird press conference justifying their position that makes no sense and defies logic and reason. They should be investigating the mail in ballots, which is the most likely fraud. Makes no sense that one person would risk prison and even sign an affidavit to vote again just to gain one vote for their favorite candidate.

*US Resident here - This is not an "Error". AZ MVD employees and the management system purposely register people without their consent. This is not an error. Last year I got a travel license and I had to jump through hoops to get one. Its funny that registering doesn't require these many steps.*
A similar thing happened to me in Oregon. I traced it back to DMV and even though I was already registered to vote as a Republican, DMV changed my party affiliation to Democrat. When questioned about it, DMV staff told me that their supervisor insisted that all forms that were submitted without the registration question being completed would be filled in by DMV staff. The form clearly indicates that if there is no change to voter registration, that section is to be left blank.
So why is DMV taking it upon themselves to alter an official document? Shouldn't that be considered a crime to alter or deface an official document?
