I'm a casual fan of Megadeath, big fan of the genre and grew up in the 80s. I say that to give context that I'm not some fanboy here, but this song is perfection, it's S tier for sure. It has it all, but most importantly it has incredible lyrics that have meaning that transcend time and always seem to apply to the current time. This is true art and I friggin love it!!!!! I often repeat the opening verse 5 times before I let the song play out that's how important I think it is to always remember that power corrupts. "Take a mortal man and put him in control and watch him become a god, watch people's heads a'roll....". And then that chorus, what else can you say, it sums up humanity's albatross; this innate desire to set up governments and systems of power when we clearly know it ultimately corrupts and breaks down at scale.
