Thanks for watching! The site that we went to is only open to the public for barrel picks, and I definitely think that's the best way to go. There's nothing quite like drinking whiskey right out the barrel.
I love that! I'm sure whatever you guys picked is delicious and maybe even a little higher proof than most. We couldn't believe that they don't dilute the flavor too much 😄
Couldn't agree more! We're glad that we're not the only ones that love their Amburana finished bourbon. It's lightyears better than most of the other versions that we've seen. Thanks for watching!
It was really fun to have a sneak peek behind the scenes and see how everything is made. Drinking whiskey straight from the barrel is now our preferred way to enjoy it, which is a problem 😅 Thanks for watching and your continued support 🙏
We might be proof hounds, but it's honestly the best way to do it. Have you been to KY before? We have some tips for bottle hunting if you're interested.
They tried making their own distillate once, but it lead to a very messy and costly accident. They decided not to try it again for the foreseeable future and switched to sourcing their juice. After tasting Green River full proof right out the barrel, I think they made the right call.
Great tour, so fun and informative-I’ll definitely have to go there sometime!

Tyrus and his crew are amazing
Absolutely! It was a pleasure to meet them and we feel lucky that they were so inviting to us.
@@BondingOverBourbon I got to take part in a barrel pick there a few months back, it was a blast!

Great video! They definitely get a bad rap for Malort. I have a Jeppson Bourbon Amburana Finished that is very good. 🥃

@@BondingOverBourbon I have been once. Spent 2 days there. It was in November and it was freezing. 😂
Definitely would love some tips 💯

Do they have plans to make their own bourbon or to continue sourcing?

@@BondingOverBourbon What was their Illinois source?
As in their barrel broker, or asking about Illinois juice?
