- I took thees filthy gloves off of a goalkeeper directly after practice, brought them home, washed, rinsed, dried and then conditioned the grip with KEEPER BALM.
They don't just think I'm crazy - they know it. :}

You're making washing gloves harder than it has to be. I've played for 30 yrs and they tell you not to wash them in washing machine. But absolutely can. Just put gloves in old pillowcase and tie it up so they don't fall out. Fill washing machine with 4 towels and the pillow case w/ gloves. Put it on cold wash, the quick wash setting. Use no soap. They come out perfect every time with no effort and no damage.

Those gloves were filthy, and had never been washed. There was so much sand on them it would have wrecked my washer.

I just got new gloves and I have used them a couple times practicing already but I do a light wash after just to make sure
I hope the fan is cold air because the hot air will dry out the latex very easily. Also I wouldn’t recommend using washing detergent for your gloves because the chemicals from the detergent won’t come out and it will dry out the palm
I washed my gloves regularly and i hung them upside down to dry but it was so hot that day that they dried out in my garage, my garage has no insulation so it gets hot in there when the temperature is up, im trying to find something to fix the cracking
@@johanhernandez5308 I would just dry them in a towel. Leave them fully covered in a towel. I’ve dried my gloves in a towel in 3 degrees Celsius weather all the way to high 20s and I’ve had no problems at all

Sodium Laurel Sulfate is what makes suds and is the primary ingredient in most soaps. It's a high viscosity foaming agent that can really dry out your skin and foam latex. When using soap with Sodium Laurel Sulfate, make sure the gloves are well rinsed. The soap I was using does not have any Sodium Laurel Sulfate.

Never heard of this product but this looks great! I do wash my gloves everytime but adding keeper balm seems to make it so much easier to clean them after a game and keep them from drying out. Is this product available in Europe??

Hello, should I use keeper balm directly after washing or before a game?
It's best to give the balm some time to soak in, but many keepers will apply it right before game time. You only need to apply it once a week, but the first time you should apply it rather liberally. After some regular wash and apply cycles, you may decide you don't need it for a while. It's highly permeable.
Just a question do I put my gloves directly towards the fan to dry or I let the water come out then I put it on the fan?
I usually put mine in the dish drainer for an hour or two, then in front of the fan. Mike

How do you get out grass stains I wash mine after every practice but the grass stains just don't come out

I have a similar problem with my gloves but it’s soccer ball stains as my gloves have a white palm they stain easier. The stains don’t affect the grip unless your palm is completely green from the stain then I would recommend glove glus glove wash kit

After the pre wash. Most latexes come with a fine power on them. Washing removes the powder.
i bought a keeper balm stick with a huracan diablo sting gk glove and i read the little paper that tells you how to use keeper balm, and it says tjat i need to apply it before AND after the pre-wash... Im confused...
Goalkeeper gloves come with a fine powder that keeps the glove latex from sticking to itself. The Huracán gloves (from gkglove.com) actually come prewashed from the manufacturer, so much of the fine powder has been rinsed off. Since water itself has minerals in it - and minerals are what dry foam latex out - we recommend first applying KB, then washing and drying the gloves, and AGAIN applying KB, for the best results in conditioning your gloves. Sure, it sounds like work. But if you like having high performing gloves that are easier to clean than those that have NOT been conditioned, then this is the best way to do it.
thanks for the fast answer, i will pre-wash my new gloves this week. i just washed my old uhlsport supersoft and i just put keeper balm this afternoon! im looking forward to see the results!

Try using Vaseline on any type of gloves. They would actually have alot of grip.
