Y'all have it made. I went to school there in the early '80's and we had 4 girls in one room. Two bunk beds, two dressers, two desks, two closets, and a sink. We had the AC/ heater unit under the window. We couldn't have any appliances. We did have some storage over the door. That was where we put suitcases and totes.
The campus is totally different. They removed the ravine, the trees, and the hills I had to walk to get to class. We didn't have many students driving. We had to catch the bus to go to TRBC. Girls could only wear dresses and guys shirts and ties with dress pants.
We had to carry our books, no bookbags. I didn't like getting packages from home because of the walk from the post office to the dorm.
If only I could go back in time, I would do it all over again. Those were some good times. I miss those days. I didn't have many friends because I was a methodist and we clashed with some things. I learned a lot about myself. I just wish they wouldn't have ruined it by treating the huge mountain across the road, getting rid of the railroad track that was a trestle bridge, or the only way on our of campus was going by the guard shack and checking in. It's a beautiful campus but I love the natural beauty over man-made any day. Treasure these days because they go by so fast. Blink your eyes and you realize your getting old.
I was in those dorm rooms 1985-1989. I miss it.

You should try wearing your backpacks with the straps criss crossed by unloosening both straps as much as possible and then throwing both straps over your head, what this does is take the weight of your backpack off your shoulders and makes it more comfortable to wear.
