Hi there, I'm the Law player. Thanks for the insightful commentary. Game 2&3 were both mulls into rough hands without a lot of blockers/counter. I top decked the Law in game 3 and hoped for a second one like in game 1, but did not see either it or Kid/Killer to aggro his hand or Reiju to look deeper for them. The Ains, Miss All Sunday, and even the Queen were simply to get non counter cards out of my hand and bodies onto the board for the final turns. At the end of the day it was primarily a failure in consistency, drawing mostly into counter cards from a start without them put me in a defensive mindset with focus on ramping to push in at the end and hoping for a Law/Kid and Killer to ease the math.
Okay that makes alot more sense, I knew there was no way that was the intended turns if you had a better draw, I think i do say in the video that it could potentially be from a bad draw afterwards, sorry for being harsh on the commentary but you're in the finals at the highest populated tournament besides nats so congrats to you that is no easy task. I can't wait to see you take the next one all the way!
@@AwakenedTCG Thank you. It was my first one piece run and I went as far as I could possibly go. You're spot on with your comments and I'm not upset about how it turned out because of how game 1 went well to plan. Considerations in deck construction were made to better handle the big 3, like removing Shuraiya and Bepo and adding Miss All Sunday, and it just turned out to be inappropriate for dealing with Whitebeard. I started in OP-4 after the announcement of his banlist and while familiar with the cards, he was definitely my lowest level of matchup knowledge.
unfortunately law doesn't have many dons, so your choice to ramp wasn't a bad idea, also because it's not a deck you beat with small attacks and law doesn't have characters higher than 6 k, shame in the first round when he dropped ace and you used kid on a wb attack but you didn't remember the -3 and threw a counter 2k. certainly of all the decks you could have encountered and among the worst being 6k. congratulations on your result 🤙
@@loganharder1150 Thanks for the support and the match; it was fun! I'll be looking for you Day 2 next time we're at the same event. You deserve a rematch.
Yo - was dope meeting you in-person and chopping it up...was my first regional & was cool seeing content creators at the event. Also congrats on your Top 32 finish!
Are all regionals sign-ups done thru the official one piece card game site on the events page? Would like to try to sign up but don’t know where or when. Thx
Yea all the initial info is from the main event page then it takes you to different websites where different organizers handle their own signups. Ill make an updated video on it, I think that would help alot of players
@@AwakenedTCG Yeah that'd be great! I think a lot of casual players that play a few locals here and there (like myself) would really appreciate it. See who's ready to Level-Up to the big leagues haha. Thanks man
The way the WB player puts his don is triggering me. I literally had a judge go around at my regionals and make sure everyone was attaching don correctly.
let me just say this as a avid whitebeard player the r/p law match is almost free it's like 80/20 they just arent able to deal with the extra don to swing for 6 and every body you play is minimum 6k, only time ive ever lost to law is when they drop double blocker law sort of like game 1

played against this WB winner at my first locals and honestly not surprised he won. a bit of luck, a bit of wtf, a bit of “the onepiece of real”

Ill be at the next peoria to make sure of it!
I also started to Play Whitebeard as my first deck ! Love the Playstyle. A Deck Profil would be so awesome for some Inspiration 🫶.

Agreed but to be fair he picked up the game for the first time in January so it makes sense
He announces the amount out loud .. stop crying

i only made 454, geckos really destroyed me playing RP law
Whitebeard player misplay that he used the guard point for his last life, which is pretty Basic that you just take the Last Swing…
Ngl man with the way law is playing I don’t think he got the cards he wanted to use against Newgate😭
Long is the goat ! w Long
The gecko shouldve been in the finals but he missplayed on both his games but it was his 1st regionals and 1st ever game vs WB
What did he do wrong?
@@PurposefullyTCG G1 he wiffed goin for game and G2 he left the makinos alive too long
2 life bait for Marco not 3 I believe
yea I haven’t seen the card in so long, you are correct 😂 but bottoming it has no effect on its revive effect
@@AwakenedTCG I think white beard 6 power life will make it viable forever
WB is a strong mu against law

3/4 Red finals and yall mfs tryna say pops is dead. lol ok. pops eats your bdifs, saka and law, for dinner 🤣

Pops don't eat saka lmao
Pops eats my pudding and goes neg 7
law player had no idea what he’s doing.. 6k swings.. really?
