Valencian here. You have to try paella and seafood paella here, but arroz al horno it's great as well. Octopus and vegetables are not typical, but it's alright. Hope you enjoyed your stay

Tapas has become such a tourist thing that anything they give you that is shared you think is a tapa. Tapa is a small free plate of food that comes with a drink that you order. Ordering dishes to share is not tapas, we call that ración. The fact that patatas bravas is normally served as a tapa because it's cheap enough to give away with a drink does not mean that if your order a whole plate of bravas they are always a tapa.
