most of the plants (veg, herbs, and flowers) I put in my GreenStalks this spring were started in my Gardyn tower. Since I started a LOT of plants I had to transfer them to pots under grow lights for awhile so I could make room in my Gardyn for more. Only lost one seedling in the process.
Very Very good information, I was wondering as to why my plants died a few days after putting them in soil, again, very very good information to know :).
Great tips! I do the same thing except I don’t let them dry out 😀. I’ll try your method tomorrow as I’m about to transfer my marigolds from the Aerogarden to soil on my seed trays! (I have the same seed trays from epic!) …I do have a question though regarding the aerogarden seed starting tray. Since it doesn’t come with “ domes” , do you leave the seed starting tray uncovered?
I tried that, but I got really bad germination rates so now I have a little to-go tray that I got from a restaurant that seems to fit perfectly over the entire seed starting tray
Thank you for this video. Do you put them seed starting mix or potting mix? I think I failed in the pas5 due to they are use to a very rich nutrient environment to soil.
I’m so sorry. I meant to include that. The seed starting tray doesn’t have those so I just pull them out pretty roughly. Same with the baskets. They lose a ton of roots when I do that. I’m definitely not delicate with them.
I'm lost here😂😂😂 Why go throughout all that, when I just cut a few branches of the basil I buy to cook with, put it in water on my window sill until I see roots and then just plant. What am I missing???🤔🪻🐇🌷

I use communion cups as domes. They fit perfectly on the seed starter.

I use a very loose potting mix. Pro-Mix is my favorite
@@HomegrownFloridaZ9a thanks I plan on getting pro mix but want to use up the miracle grow I have first do you think that would be ok?
absolutely. I’ve used that before and it works great too
Did you remove the plants from the white plastic holder? That's what I was hoping to see.

@@HomegrownFloridaZ9a Thanks. I was concerned about damaging the roots but if they survive, I ok with that.
@@carolync4862if you run it under water as you pull it off, it helps a bit but I stopped doing that once I realized how durable they are.
waiting for new video
I'm lost here😂😂😂

I do that too for herbs. These were tomato plants. It’s similar to starting them indoors on trays and mats
