Her English sounded very good at the beginning of the interview yet when she speaks any English in her shows it doesn't sound like English (like when she says sorry). Now I'm guessing she is doing it for comedic eff.ect
I watched many Korean actress and actor when they speak in English, hmm not that clear. I could not hear clearly what they trying to say. But Jun Ji Hyun English accent was great. Proud of you Onnie. Love you always my idol
Well-if there were not already reasons to love her fanatically-her dedication to her work, her skill shown here at languages, and her cheerful personality would cinch it. I watched all 21 episodes of 'My Love from the Star' in one go not really having known her before-many times with a sentimental tear in the eye and many big laughs (after she confesses her love to him he kisses her, he gets sick because of it and she has to struggle him into the house-from romance to comedy in a brilliant instant) How I wish I were 30 years younger, better looking, Korean, and a rich arrogant banker like her husband! Even her mother-in-law likes her! Sigh....
Feels a bit like we lost her peak years due to marketing choices. I think she wanted to expand her international name for CF work and that let to doing international films.
I think her agency was too ambitious and tried to rush her into becoming a global star. The fact is that even established asian actors have a hard time breaking into hollywood and mostly do supporting roles in big films. It also didn't help that live action movies tend to be poorly made, and even worse, the entire movie had crappy editing and no other big name actors to carry it. Then again, she said that this movie made her change her lifestyle and basically led to her success in her action films. Maybe it all happened for a reason.

chrisdouglass67 That's exactly what happens. She can pronounce it well but she dosen't pronounce that well in dramas because of comedy.

I thought that the animated movie followed this movie closely but apparently it was the other way around.
I saw that vampire movie she was in, then I saw 'You who came from the stars' drama a few years later, and I did not know they were the same people.
Good movie one of my favorites even the anime movie and show Blood Plus one was good.
I feel so bad for her.... Because she hurt (as in bumped) her head on the ground a few times, which would be very painful.... I love her so much!
