You have also been blessed with good looks! You are a great entertainer, love to watch you and your videos. You also seem like a down to earth, good person. Don't change....be kind to your fans, stay the coarse and you will be around and admired for many years to come. 2 good examples of great people, around for years are Mickey Gilley and Engelbert Humperdinck! Daryle Singletary was a very nice guy, and he loved to laugh and tell jokes. Saw him at the Maryland State Fair on my birthday. Only a handful of people were there, because his concert was a last minute announcement. Will never forget that day or him, may he rest in peace.
I would have added George Strait George Jones, Merle, Gene Watson, WAYLON ad many more besides Mickey (now deceased) who wasn't on the charts for yrs like the others. And neither as Engelbert.. They were still entertaining but not on the charts.
I only used Mickey Gilley and Engelbert because they both were performing, well into their 80's. I know Mickey has passed and Englebert still enjoys performing! Just an example.
I am turning 70. The gentleman I worked for, was a studio drummer at Sun Records and later in Nashville. He was Orbison's drummer in the early days and recordings. He traveled all around the world and drummed and filled in with many! Fabulous stories! He is now 76, and still drums! Everyone has retired or passed! It was 40 plus years ago. Some of the shows we promoted were the old boys. Ernest Tubb many times with The Texas Troubadours, Faron Young, Bobby Bare, Crystal Gayle, Barbara Mandrel, Louise Mandrel, Ray Price and others. Ernest Tubb was one of the nicest people and helped many others get started. It was a long time ago!
Drake has his creative freedoms that would have slowed down if he had won . I have listened to his new album all the way thru about 6 times . There are no losers on this body of work . The uptempo makes you want to be on the dance floor . The slower makes you want to snuggle up with your flame . The country western swing song with Vince Gill just makes you see another side of Drake and his true artistry . Bringing back Real Country Music simply because you can not get here without having gone there . Congratulations Drake for keeping true to you . The interity he showed bringing his band . The energy that bounces off each one just brings the entire experience together . When you go see Drake and company it's going to be like listening to the record . Everyone is so talented and they have that complete sound . I love it when the band turns it loose .
