I made the move in December from 50 yrs of living in Toronto. I haven't looked back. London is just a nicer place imo. I moved to the North West. It's glorious because of having the outdoor options, shopping options, and it's just a nice place with generally super nice people. Sure London has some problems, the most notable is with under sheltered ppl. However if you came from T.O. it will be nothing you can't handle, and will probably seem tame compared to some place in the GTA. Everything you could possibly need is right here, although finding a Family Doctor might be challenging. Regardless-I totally recommend making the move.
I completely agree with this; I grew up in Mississauga and came here for school but it's been a much better city to live in for me personally as well. Every city is going to have it's issues and I think London isn't alone with it's homelessness problems; a big issue that definitely needs to be addresses across the board. Agreed, it took my family a little while to find a doctor as well, but such is our healthcare system at the moment! Thanks for the comment and your input!
