3:15 because this is not mario kart, you can't win races by just driving and get a good item, after power sliding, press the other shoulder button whenever your tires are glowing ( or the black smoke back of your kart or when the bar at bottom right corner gets to the red or orange zone depends on what bar you have ) to get a speed boost, YOU CAN DO THIS UP TO 3 TIMES IN A ROW WITH A SINGLE POWER SLIDE, do this and you see how easy the game gets
Don’t forget to tell him that pressing the shoulder button on ramps or bumps to jump higher can cause him to have a boost when he lands and combo everything together and he’s golden

I had such a blast with CTR when it came out on the PSX. One of the games I managed to get 100%. It was traumatic (Tower was the worst, iirc). But the feeling of blasting through an entire race doing almost perfect slides, using shortcuts, knowing when to rip, etc. was sth else. It was so fun I kept on playing, improving my scores above Platinum. Got the remake on XSX about a year ago. It still feels good, I must admit. I feel like playing CTR again... ... AND THERE AIN'T NO FOKKIN' WAY I'M GOING FOR ANY KIND OF TROPHIES THIS TIME (assuming I even start grinding CTR again). KEKEKEKEKEKEK

You gotta constantly try to hop and drift to keep speed high. You can stack that shit 3 times to get fast. Just keep hoping and drifting. Use acceleration characters or like dude mentioned drift/speed. Once you master that you will whoop the computer’s ass. Edit: you learning bro the hardest race in the begging is probably the first one in the vid tbh. After that just do your bets to get first early, cpu cheats like hell but when you’re in first less stuff affects you
Brethem Chase, switch your driving style to Speed that balanced Kart is not it. It's also why the cpu seems to just be faster than you. It's because they are in that speed style you can switch to it with any character now. Also you HAVE to learn how to drift and use boosts it's only gonna get worse from here fam 🔥
This guy is suffering in this game 😂. It really ain't that hard if you get the boosting down pat, but if you don't, you will struggle. The funny thing is, every time I have tried to explain how to boost to new or casual players, they have never really grasped it. It's something everyone is better at doing rather than explaining 🤔

When you have a mask, you can cut across terrain like the grass on Coco Park without it slowing you down. Allowing you to cut corners.
