H kind of reminds me of my ex, in so far as he was always complaining behind his family back about them. At first I wanted to show support and so offered a way for him to 'get away' from his horrible family and did, as I believe M did - made his family appear worse to him and escalate things. Unlike M though, I didnt do this as some sort of power play, it was a naive attempt to show love and support. And unlike M I eventually saw his familys side and saw him for the whiner he was., Sam.
Even today he thinks he is all important. His attitude over security is part of that relevance. But what has h actually done in five years? except be jealous and revengeful to his family...when he did not get his way. That is why he left. And MM knew she would never be on the same footing as Princess Catherine.

Ugggh! At this point, Harry is just as unlikable as Meghan. I don’t think it’s a good thing to have him back in the UK… as much as I don’t like him being here in the US. I think he could be a destructive force to the Royal family, again, more than he is while here in the US.

Only my opinion but if he came back I don’t think he’d want to put in the work. There would still be some who would not be welcoming to him both in the Family and the Public. She wouldn’t want to come back because she’d upset Bousey Face and Perry. If they split I can could see Harry return briefly to the UK whilst he found somewhere to live in the US. I think Harry still wants half-in / half-out and he refuses to believe he can't get it. If he wanted to return to the UK and not be in a cage, he could do this at any time. You work for that firm and complete a job for them. Working royals are the same way. I hope Harry realizes this and starts to find useful work. He WILL have to actually do the hard work and follow the rules of any company that hires him. No one is going to hand Harry money just for existing. We are all in a "cage" in this regard. When you go to work for a company, you step into their cage for 8 hours so they give you a paycheck. Hopefully you like the work and don't find their rules too irritating. Nobody sends you a check in the mail for sitting on your sofa. Let's hope Harry finds a different cage that is more to his liking.

Wishing Harry a happy birthday is a very classy way of undercutting the media and their hollow accusations of being petty and holding grudges. It also leaves Harry and Meghan without the chance to whine about how they're being mistreated.
That, plus the Palace is good at saying a lot without saying anything. 'Recollections may vary' sounds like a civil response to accusations, but most people interpret it as implying 'grifting liars'. Birthday greetings with a jolly picture of Harry looks like a civil acknowledgement, but it could also be a way of saying to him, 'Look how happy you were just a few years ago, and as popular as the rest of us. Where are you now?'

INDEED. So, in fact, as this was his 40th birthday, a milestone, they were only following the protocol, NO personal feelings or "olive branches" offered in these messages. They might have sent personal messages, at least the King might have, but the social media messages were "official", dutiful messages only. Of course, at the same time, by sending these messages, the RF has also managed to keep at bay the attacks from the media and H's "friends" for not acknowledging his birthday. Wise move. Though I'm not sure that this stopped the media from analyzing and talking about this, they still did it with Princess Catherine's celebratory message anyway....

Journalists have said they believe Meghan leaked a lot of Palace info (not just about Meghan) as, prior to Meghan, it had always been super hard to get the kind of information that came with the leaks out of the Palace. It was always very tight. The, suddenly, after Meghan was there, they started getting lots and lots of leaks. Also, I think staff had been independently leaking to journalists like Dan Wooten and others (provided they remained confidential informants) about Meghan because her behaviour was just so bad and they didn't want her to get away with it anymore. Those journalists say that's what happened.
Exactly as Shauna said... Nope, not a shred of proof - but I've read articles about them complaining with the articles spinning the Harkles POV. I mean, they can't even find real headlines to show proof of what they claim were negative press in their Netflix show! They had to cull it from social media, because sharp and independent and very small creators were more astute and less beholden to the media powers that be, and are calling them out for their suspicious behaviour!
Brit here, I do know a little bit on this altho not 100%. I believe that technically she is a princess, but protocol dictates that if the couple have been gifted the title of Duke and Duchess of X, then that is how they must style themselves. However, Harry can still be referred to as Prince Harry (because he was born royal), but Meghan can’t use ‘Princess Henry’ (because of the protocol described above). IF the titles of Duke & Duchess of X are removed or given up, THEN Harry will remain Prince Harry (because he was born royal) and Meghan can style herself as Princess Henry. Note that she cannot style herself as Princess Meghan because she was not born royal (again, protocol). So that’s why the correct, formal titles for both Diana and Catherine are actually “Diana/Catherine, Princess of Wales” as opposed to “Princess Diana” and “Princess Catherine” (because they weren’t born royal). But most media will typically not care, hence “Princess Diana” and “Princess Catherine”, which are actually incorrect but hey, who cares?! Long-winded but that’s protocol for you. I hope that’s helpful.

I think the force behind this is the recently quit Josh, chief of staff. He is very well respected and has lots of connections. I suspect he left bec of Markle meddling. I think he may feel sorry for H and worried about him & his drugs.

Josh Kettler may not like how he was treated and might have more push and pull than Markle. Letting Harry off is going to cause friction between them… she will demand Harry protect her. Josh I believe is a smart cookie and has crossed all his T’s and dotted all his I’s. Markle may have bitten off more than she can chew by getting on the wrong side of him. I certainly hope so. I doubt it’s the RF planting the story.

I get exasperated by the MSM banging on about how we all loved Harry. Rubbish. A good half of the UK has little or no interest in the royals, any royals. Particularly true of anyone under the age of 40. Various polls have reported this and it reflects my own experience. I quite liked Harry in a vague sort of way, not having given it much thought. The more i learned about him the more i started to dislike him, and id guess the same is true for many people.

The logical questioning is what appeals to me too, not making everything into a diabolical conspiracy of invented identities and fake childhood photos, CIA operatives and fake passports, government plants etc just because there are numerous inconsistencies in various people's recollections and several versions of the story. It's called lying and certain people are more prone to it than others, some are even driven by a pathology. I just don't want every 'megxit' channel that I enjoy to fall into that trap, I see it already spreading in the wider "community" from channel to channel.

In that clip, you can only see the boys' heads because of the ship's rail. You cannot actually see what they are doing with their arms, legs or feet at all. So there is no way to tell if H kicked William or not, but the direction of their interactions strongly suggests not.

Married or divorced Harry has no way back as a working royal. The idea that those paid to advise and protect the royal family would ever be behind attempts to bring Harry back seems preposterous. If the majority of the British public are still angry and unforgiving at how H&M have treated all the royal family, imagine how those whose job and years of service is dedicated to protecting them feel about Harry. I suspect most of them hanker after the days when such betrayal of the monarch would have put Harry in the Tower.

Before retirement, I had to handle a $ matter for folks that worked for him. I was assisting a couple who had a "snafu" & had to update their employment & ID, etc. They were so nervous that he just took over the call for them, I had to "ID" him as well. I can tell you that of all the famous folks I dealt with, he was simply the best. He resolved their temp problem, while chatting, he detected my hometown Boston area accent. I was working in FL at the time, & my former roommate went to the same HS that he "briefly" attended. (His words/true). He's a very generous person. He resolved their issue. I received a dz roses next day at work. Security had to clear them, lol. Yes, I preserved one of the roses and the card. Just a very nice experience.

A Family always has to hope things will come right. Even a Royal Family. The Subjects of The UK and Commonwealth do not have to tolerate a Royal Family Member who they have watched abuse their place and privilege. The royal family is like a family company. Some work in the family company, some not. Sometimes some want to be the ceo and think they are better then the ceo and got upset when they know another sibling will get that post from their parents. Same in the royal family. The only difference is that the royal family represents a country and commonwealth and work with charity and diplomacy. Most of the time the person that think they are a better fit as a ceo use to be the unfit one.

Diana and Andrew mounted a serious campaign to have Charles removed from the succession and Andrew placed as Regent for William. Not much spoken of now but caused a hell of a storm at the time because as usual Fergie and Andrew and their cabal were blabbing about it. A perfect example of your viewpoint. Charles is dealing with cancer. I am sure the palace are trying to keep stress out of Charles day to day life as much as possible. The same goes with Catherine. I am certain that William keeps stress to a minimum in their home. Life goes on and I can't see where H and M play any part in their daily activities.

It would be interesting to look at the timeline. What they said and what we now know. I don't think we realised how ill the Queen was, but H must have known. And all the SussexRoyal nonsense. So many things that were horrible but were forgotten.
I so agree with you Shauna. I don't believe for a second that Harry has ever been a "happy chappy" as you called him. I have read story after story, going back through his life in which he was upset with one person or another, and there were plenty of photos to back it up. I am talking about while his mother was alive too. Harry has been unhappy at 10,20,30 and now 40. I believe he has always been consumed by jealousy of his older brother and took delight in 'playing the 'hail fellow well met' guy and upstaging his brother. He, like his mother, could always turn it on for the media, and loved being more popular than William, more outgoing than William, funnier than William. The British press fell for it. It sounds like the Royal Family has decided to turn the screws on the wife now and come to his defense once again. I don't think they'll ever be able to completely rehabilitate him. If they take him back after his many betrayals, I think they will rue the day.

Our Majesty may have passed away before Harry's book came out, but I am sure she would have been advised that there would be terrible things written about the Royal family, because in truth Her Majesty knew the real Harry since he was a small boy and watched his behaviour growing up over the years, although we the public saw his various bad behaviour, the Palace hid 99% of Harry's drink and drug fuelled behaviour, Harry himself mentioned his drink and drug taking in his book. When I think about our wonderful Queen Elizabeth and the sadness HM endured in her last years due to the spare and his wife, my heart feels so sad. Queen Elizabeth gave Her whole life to us Her people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth we must always remember this and not that Harry and his wife tried to tarnish her legacy, this pair will always be remembered for their disrespect and lies.
Easing Harry back in. KC3 would have to be crazy for any reconciliation. The only palatable option for the king would be for KC3 to personally fund a divorce settlement and provide a very remote bolthole for Harry with significant managed clinical help. No one in Britain wants to see that smug wolfish grin anywhere near the RF celebrating "i have got away with it again".

Charles let the boys turn the basement at Highgrove into a space for the boys and their friends when they wrre both young teens. A high-end sound system and a "bar" were part of the renovation. Apparently a lot of drinking took place, which certainly didn't help Harry's subsequent addictions. I remember this being reported at the time because it seemed rather irresponsible and indulgent to me given that they were still underage. Yes, it kept the boys out of the pubs and off the road, but H's proclivity to addictions had already started showing. And look at him now. A full blown addict for decades without any real attempt to address his problems. If Charles is trying to bring H back, it better be like Andrew, no public Royal involvement/duties, period. Kept out of the public sphere as much as possible with a very tight rein on the finances and activities. Put him in a small cottage and keep him secluded from public life under strict control. And no Markle. H may be "the son of the King," but he has proven himself to be an absolute traitor and a viper. I'm hoping this is the plan because he is an actual danger to William and George. With or without the wife, we've seen just how willing H is to burn the entire family and the Institution to the ground without an ounce of remorse. That the Hollywood Reporter found 12 former associates and employees to give their stories says a lot. Plus, someone high up in the industry gave the green light to publish the story. I don't see the RF as angry all the time. There have been many videos shown of positive interactions with each other and with the public. William and Catherine had an interview in which they discussed mental health with Harry. No one is angry in that video. We have seen hours of normal family interactions, and now Catherine's video celebrating her end of treatment. Where is the anger in that?
Perhaps you are seeing the Palace non-interaction with Harry as anger? Well, I can understand that. They can't risk having Harry leaking any more secrets and getting their words slanted. I would be upset, too, if my brother sold secrets for money--even embellishing them to make even more money. When someone has treated you despicably, you will be angry about that. (However, I think the RF has started to move past the initial anger and is just doing the minimum interaction.)
Is the Royal family going to just let Harry back in to pick and choose what he wants to do? No. The monarchy functions like a business in this regard. EVERY business is a "cage." You work for that firm and complete a job for them. Working royals are the same way.
I hope Harry realizes this and starts to find useful work. He WILL have to actually do the hard work and follow the rules of any company that hires him. No one is going to hand Harry money just for existing.
We are all in a "cage" in this regard. When you go to work for a company, you step into their cage for 8 hours so they give you a paycheck. Hopefully you like the work and don't find their rules too irritating. Nobody sends you a check in the mail for sitting on your sofa. That, plus the Palace is good at saying a lot without saying anything. 'Recollections may vary' sounds like a civil response to accusations, but most people interpret it as implying 'grifting liars'. Birthday greetings with a jolly picture of Harry looks like a civil acknowledgement, but it could also be a way of saying to him, 'Look how happy you were just a few years ago, and as popular as the rest of us. Where are you now?'

INDEED. So, in fact, as this was his 40th birthday, a milestone, they were only following the protocol, NO personal feelings or "olive branches" offered in these messages. They might have sent personal messages, at least the King might have, but the social media messages were "official", dutiful messages only.
Of course, at the same time, by sending these messages, the RF has also managed to keep at bay the attacks from the media and H's "friends" for not acknowledging his birthday. Wise move. Though I'm not sure that this stopped the media from analyzing and talking about this, they still did it with Princess Catherine's celebratory message anyway....

Journalists have said they believe Meghan leaked a lot of Palace info (not just about Meghan) as, prior to Meghan, it had always been super hard to get the kind of information that came with the leaks out of the Palace. It was always very tight. The, suddenly, after Meghan was there, they started getting lots and lots of leaks.
Also, I think staff had been independently leaking to journalists like Dan Wooten and others (provided they remained confidential informants) about Meghan because her behaviour was just so bad and they didn't want her to get away with it anymore. Those journalists say that's what happened.
The only negative stories came much later and were reporting her actual behaviour! 😂

Brit here, I do know a little bit on this altho not 100%. I believe that technically she is a princess, but protocol dictates that if the couple have been gifted the title of Duke and Duchess of X, then that is how they must style themselves. However, Harry can still be referred to as Prince Harry (because he was born royal), but Meghan can’t use ‘Princess Henry’ (because of the protocol described above). IF the titles of Duke & Duchess of X are removed or given up, THEN Harry will remain Prince Harry (because he was born royal) and Meghan can style herself as Princess Henry. Note that she cannot style herself as Princess Meghan because she was not born royal (again, protocol). So that’s why the correct, formal titles for both Diana and Catherine are actually “Diana/Catherine, Princess of Wales” as opposed to “Princess Diana” and “Princess Catherine” (because they weren’t born royal). But most media will typically not care, hence “Princess Diana” and “Princess Catherine”, which are actually incorrect but hey, who cares?! Long-winded but that’s protocol for you. I hope that’s helpful.

I get exasperated by the MSM banging on about how we all loved Harry. Rubbish. A good half of the UK has little or no interest in the royals, any royals. Particularly true of anyone under the age of 40. Various polls have reported this and it reflects my own experience. I quite liked Harry in a vague sort of way, not having given it much thought. The more i learned about him the more i started to dislike him, and id guess the same is true for many people.

My thoughts exactly, loved this ! And I'm very much looking forward to her covering the story involving Laney Gossip.. The logical questioning is what appeals to me too, not making everything into a diabolical conspiracy of invented identities and fake childhood photos, CIA operatives and fake passports, government plants etc just because there are numerous inconsistencies in various people's recollections and several versions of the story. It's called lying and certain people are more prone to it than others, some are even driven by a pathology. I just don't want every 'megxit' channel that I enjoy to fall into that trap, I see it already spreading in the wider "community" from channel to channel.

Married or divorced Harry has no way back as a working royal. The idea that those paid to advise and protect the royal family would ever be behind attempts to bring Harry back seems preposterous. If the majority of the British public are still angry and unforgiving at how H&M have treated all the royal family, imagine how those whose job and years of service is dedicated to protecting them feel about Harry. I suspect most of them hanker after the days when such betrayal of the monarch would have put Harry in the Tower.

I was assisting a couple who had a "snafu" & had to update their employment & ID, etc. They were so nervous that he just took over the call for them, I had to "ID" him as well. I can tell you that of all the famous folks I dealt with, he was simply the best. He resolved their temp problem, while chatting, he detected my hometown Boston area accent. I was working in FL at the time, & my former roommate went to the same HS that he "briefly" attended. (His words/true). He's a very generous person. He resolved their issue. I received a dz roses next day at work. Security had to clear them, lol. Yes, I preserved one of the roses and the card. Just a very nice experience.

I so agree with you Shauna. I don't believe for a second that Harry has ever been a "happy chappy" as you called him. I have read story after story, going back through his life in which he was upset with one person or another, and there were plenty of photos to back it up. I am talking about while his mother was alive too. Harry has been unhappy at 10,20,30 and now 40. I believe he has always been consumed by jealousy of his older brother and took delight in 'playing the 'hail fellow well met' guy and upstaging his brother. He, like his mother, could always turn it on for the media, and loved being more popular than William, more outgoing than William, funnier than William. The British press fell for it. It sounds like the Royal Family has decided to turn the screws on the wife now and come to his defense once again. I don't think they'll ever be able to completely rehabilitate him. If they take him back after his many betrayals, I think they will rue the day.

Our Majesty may have passed away before Harry's book came out, but I am sure she would have been advised that there would be terrible things written about the Royal family, because in truth Her Majesty knew the real Harry since he was a small boy and watched his behaviour growing up over the years, although we the public saw his various bad behaviour, the Palace hid 99% of Harry's drink and drug fuelled behaviour, Harry himself mentioned his drink and drug taking in his book.
When I think about our wonderful Queen Elizabeth and the sadness HM endured in her last years due to the spare and his wife, my heart feels so sad. Queen Elizabeth gave Her whole life to us Her people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth we must always remember this and not that Harry and his wife tried to tarnish her legacy, this pair will always be remembered for their disrespect and lies.

Charles let the boys turn the basement at Highgrove into a space for the boys and their friends when they wrre both young teens. A high-end sound system and a "bar" were part of the renovation. Apparently a lot of drinking took place, which certainly didn't help Harry's subsequent addictions. I remember this being reported at the time because it seemed rather irresponsible and indulgent to me given that they were still underage. Yes, it kept the boys out of the pubs and off the road, but H's proclivity to addictions had already started showing. And look at him now. A full blown addict for decades without any real attempt to address his problems.
If Charles is trying to bring H back, it better be like Andrew, no public Royal involvement/duties, period. Kept out of the public sphere as much as possible with a very tight rein on the finances and activities. Put him in a small cottage and keep him secluded from public life under strict control. And no Markle. H may be "the son of the King," but he has proven himself to be an absolute traitor and a viper. I'm hoping this is the plan because he is an actual danger to William and George. With or without the wife, we've seen just how willing H is to burn the entire family and the Institution to the ground without an ounce of remorse. Frankly, I think he needs a very long stay in rehab under strict medical control/supervision. And I still wouldn't trust him with any public life.

That the Hollywood Reporter found 12 former associates and employees to give their stories says a lot. Plus, someone high up in the industry gave the green light to publish the story. I am thinking WME and/or Netflix.

I don't think there was any doubt that King Charles and William and Catherine would wish Harry a happy birthday on his 40th. I would have been more surprised if they hadn't. 40 is a milestone birthday and it is polite to acknowledge it whatever their feelings towards him. Harry cannot now complain that he was ignored.
I really hope that the Palace is not paving the way for Harry's return, his behaviour has been unforgivable. The RF must know that the majority of the public do not wish to see him return, certainly not as a working royal !

The bullying investigation was dealt with by an independent law firm to ensure there was no bias. Their findings were not released as there are workplace laws protecting the confidentiality of those who took part. Jason Knauf’s email presented as evidence in court should be sufficient to confirm Valentine Low’s claim of bullying as well as Harry’s description of an unhappy workplace in his book, Spare. To this end, shouldn’t Meghan be denouncing Harry for the “calculated smear campaign” as he himself also gave validity to the allegation?
