I first heard this on JW's great album of Barrios pieces, 40 years ago or more. I was entranced.
Eventually, I got the music and found I could play it pretty well, I thought, [nowhere near as good as this guy; obviously]. I've since forgotten every note and know I'm past re-learning it. I'm now content to listen to others

Instruments are far better now. On the old day there is maybe 10 really good luthiers to name a few Hauser, Ramirez, Romanillos, Fleta etc. Now in every country is at least one.
