Great video as always Adam & Abby!!! 👍👍 Looks like the next Big Haul Trip needs to have a stop in Tulsa, OK for a Hasty Bake factory tour. 👍👍 In 1948, Grant Hastings produced the first Hasty Bake Charcoal Grill. As one of the original manufacturers of the "backyard barbecue," Hastings was a pioneer in the industry. All Hasty Bake Charcoal Grills are manufactured and assembled in Tulsa, OK since 1948.
Man I absolutely love this little unit. It’s always fantastic to see new looks at bbq , smoking and grilling equipment. Grilling and smoking is something I really enjoy and love to learn about. Unfortunately I rarely get the true time this sort of cooking needs. But when I can it’s such a joy to do with no rush or expectations. Great video sir
I have the 250 Pro! LOVE IT. I paid full freight, but it is superb. I let NOBODY else touch it. Just subscribed to your channel, after your full review of the Legacy. Just found you today. GREAT videos. Like BBQ Lab, down to earth, simple, succinct, direct and a great sense of reality! LOVE the fact that your wife always says, “cook something good for me!” THAT is a good woman!
Just got one in today . I like every thing about it great quality. I hope to see you use it often on your hauls l enjoy to see what you and Abbey come up with. Been watching you for years on Abom 79 Thanks for everything you share!

Just found you today - your review of the HB Legacy. GREAT videos. Like BBQ Lab, down to earth, simple, succinct, direct and a great sense of reality!
That's one nice little beast! I had the same thing with my Smokey Joe. Problem with them is that the vents are not below the charcoal grate and so you snuff it out pretty easy when putting the lid on. I switched to the go anywhere with the grill grates custom made for it. Seems more portable to me (and affordable) than the HB. And it was easier to bring to Germany on the plane! 😂 Have to admit, that I am a bit jealous now! 😉 Happy grilling with it on tour and probably at home as well, as it makes the prefect size for two people.
Dang, I thought I had a lot of cookers and stuff. I thought this was a little pricey but after seeing the build and accessories I think I’ll get one soon.
I have one. It is superb. And the clip that holds the door works perfectly - no worries about that. Used it dozens of times and it has never plopped open. Holds well. The device is a joy to use.
Kinda has a toolbox look to it! Still love my little Weber though. And I always look for the scratch and dent items. Surplus place nearby has things that are closer to destroyed than dented! I'm looking at a pair of Kenmore washing machines that look like they've been dropped off the Empire State Building, but I *might* be able to buy two of them and make one good one for less than ONE new one would cost...
I live near Tulsa ok and I mentioned in a comment a while back For you to try out a hasty bake. I have had one for ten years and I’ll never be without one. They are amazing grills!! Thanks for The video!!
I’ve been doing chicken thighs on my Weber Smoky Mountain with the baffle out. Direct heat with distance is the way to go. Makes crispy thighs. I am very intrigued with this cooker.
Noticed on website it only calls out hood and body to be 304 stainless, try the magnet test to see if everything is 304, Three hundred series has no magnetic properties. Sometimes the other parts are 205 stainless or 400 series stainless which will develop rust and pitting
That is one high-tech hibachi. Can't call it a grill really, with the cover. It's a top notch piece of equipment though for sure. Likin' the option of the one-side heat shield for steaks, with elevated insert to keep them up in the high-heat area to cook out after sear. The air outlet is interesting, does make a lot of sense though, especially with that elevated shelf. Fun to see somethin different like this.
We all have a budget. I’m fortunate to be able to support an American Company, American jobs, American tradesmen and our economy. The price of the grill is because it’s American made 🇺🇸
@@AbomAdventures That is a good thing, Maybe when our Government changes its ideals about overseas manufacturing, the USA will have a come back with that industry. We'll find out come next November 2024 if there is a chance of that happening. If it does, USA made products will not be so expensive as they are.
Awesome!!!! I am going to definitely pick one of these up but only after I treat myself to the Legacy. I thank GOD that I am with an early retirement from working in the jungle of savages. If I were still working as a Human Zookeeper for the Law I would surely have this in the parking lot and enjoy it with my fellow officers while we would debrief, relax and down some beer after dealing with the animals. It would be great to throw a brisket on it for a nice long and slow cook. After working a 8-12 hours shift it would be ready. Instead, I will have to enjoy this by myself in the comforts of my home!

"I love it when you get a new grill" is relationship perfection. Thanks for the video. I really like the cooker.
I'm going to have to play this video for my wife. Maybe then she'll be excited about me buying a new grill too!👍🏻

You two should have a patio chat every Sunday

I've checked out their website and I'll probably be getting a Hasty Bake 250 Pro next year around spring.

That’s a good wife you have! Mine freaks out every time I mention buying one. 😢😭
Too expensive for some folks, $599. Lots of value still with those small Weber kettles such as the Jumbo and Smokey Joe's.

So what is your connection to I-79? I hear a little bit of Western PA in your voice but I think you’re in FL.
I remember my sister had a easy-bake..
looks like a couple small dents in the front also. none of that will affect functionality though
There is some dents in the front door also
Those aren’t dents, they’re spot welds for the stiffener that’s attached to the inside of that door.
My lock is rusting away
haven't been on this channel for some time, i thought you bought land and were going to build house and shop there? life is short
