@@jzayas5698 not really for athletic training just do recovery like an ice bath. Dont need rest days if you want to be the best athlete. Maybe if you want to be a bodybuilder but who wants to be a bodybuilder
I just stated hybrid training so I run 5 miles mondsy Wednesday Friday gym Tuesday Thursday Saturday and rest on a Sunday. I’m also 46 and up until 12 weeks ago I was Olympic sofa sitter
I want to try this one but i have work as a Hemodialysis nurse 11hrs a day 5 days a week. i can only do 60mins of workout and a lot of times i cant still recover so well from all the activities.
okay first off, you are already working hard as it is, jah bless you beautiful sob. Second, perhaps splurge on some extra supplements for recovery? (they are expensive so fr, don't sweat it if you cant)
probably best to start by hitting a leg day solo, then have the next day as a rest day if its your first time. If you go hard for legs, which you should, it will generally destroy your legs for a while haha
i accidentally selected my sister's account while watching tv and i saw a yt short where a fat girl yapps"donuts are too good"and whole fucking comment section supporting her wtf💀 And now im satisfied after this short and can finally sleep in peace.
being honest, i tend to run early in the morning and lift late at about 6 but i believe there are studies that say you should lift first for maximum gains but i dont think it matters much so do what works for you
I’m just getting back into they gym but I also wanna train for a half marathon. Should I train to gain muscle first then incorporate run training after? Or could I do both? My only concern is over training in the beginning
Biggest concern should be your consistency. You should do whichever you think you will stick to. Your body will adjust to your training unless you put way too much volume in, or don’t have your sleep and nutrition dialed in. If you get to the point where you aren’t making progress in your runs or on your lifts, then look at sleep and nutrition first, then consider your training volume.
Good to see more hybrid training. Honestly it's the way to go as far as functionality and longevity. Get it beast's! It's honestly funny how stick figure runners thought it was healthy to run off of 1000 grams of carbs a day back in the day 70s, 80s,90s and early 2000s and not lift at all 😂😂😂😂. Yeah keep eating your Cheerios and Wheaties. The biggest lie in the industry and people bought it. Nope not anymore. Lies lies lies
if your goal is to build or maintain muscle, workout first. if your goal is to build endurance and run longer, run first. its just about energy efficiency on that day, give yourself like 5+ hours of rest before doing the other. happy training !
I don't have kids and training/creating content is a big part of my job and income. I respect anyone getting shit done with a full time job and family to look after.
thanks for answer. It makes sense. I still think it's inspirational. I'm trying to move to hybrid training, but it's hard to squeeze all sessions. Still working on my plan. Keep up the good work, i like your videos 😊
Honestly , I respect it, but there’s no longevity in this. Your run on Monday then train legs on Tuesday and then you end the week with a 30k run with another on Tuesday then lower again on wed. I can’t see the true recovery here
I only train this amount while in prep for a marathon which is only 4-5 months of the year. I definitely back it off with the training load and let my body rest when I’m not prepping for an event.
What a monster you are Tommy. Absolutely solid🙏💪👍👊♥️💯😎
I want to do the same as you, but I can only workout 40 minutes per day. I have to work 10-hour shifts.
You’re a God for working 10 hour shifts and still finding the time to work out. Absolute G behaviour
40 minutes is enough to get a solid workout in. Make the most of the time g
It’s mostly physical labor at my work place as well.
@@invisibleliberty2275you can do it! You still have plenty of time to knock that out
@invisibleliberty2275....G
Fantastic! Hybrid Althletes, thats my calling
The best!
this is an absurd split 🔥
Your training split is brilliant, TY! 👍❤
Looks like a solid plan - the results speak for themselves 👍
Great physic bro💯🔥
Thanks man!
I love that, 10 is pretty easy. And it should be easy for most people. I don’t even start to get bored unless I’ve done 5.
This is motivating. Love this hybrid approach. Do you build in any mobility/yoga type stuff?
legend!
Good job…but where is the rest ? No rest?
Don’t need it. All rest does is make you not want to workout tommorow
@@VolumeTheSecondIncorrect
@@VolumeTheSecond lol rest does a lot more than that. If rest makes you not want to work out, then you have a mentality problem.

You are a beast
Im trying to adapt with 2 fullbody (20' emom) as strength session + 1 speed ses around 10-12K, 1 Long run 18-24K and 2 easy 10K days 😂
Great vid bro! Love it 🙏💪🏽

What volume are you working with when lifting?
Hey bro..what about for beginners??
What are your macros to sustain your fitness level?
Tren is not a macronutrition
Ive been alternating running and lifting but im trying to find a way to sneak in leg days but dont know how

hahahahaha bruhhhh
total beast hybrid athletes unite 😝 lifting and running hits different
Must be eating hella protein to maintain that muscle mass with the amount of running you do
Does hitting each body part only once a week builds muscle effectively ?
I feel like hybrid athletes have pretty similar body types mostly, based off from yours and mine
Looks good. Back could do with but more thickness
thanks fitness coach and ifbb holder for your unsolicited advice
No complete rest day? Also, do you have better results running or working out first if you have both in one day?

I can’t run that much yet. You have recommendations for beginner mileage
Solid dude !!!
does long running make you weak in lifting?
What’s your workout program 😊
When do you rest ?

What should my calorie intake be
10k + and extensive runs are the secret of the game…..
Nice
Abs through run?
Beast bro
30min run before ever weight session. Non gym days is a 45min swim
When you do both , which one goes first ?
if your goal is to build or maintain muscle, workout first.

its just about energy efficiency on that day, give yourself like 5+ hours of rest before doing the other.

amazing - but do you have a job and a family? it seems you have more time in your hands than average mom/dad...

How long are your gym sessions?
I want to gain weight cam I do this?
Hey, how is your diet, I mean how many calories do you have to take to balance all that shit
you runing and lower body workout in one day
Do you have a comparison to when you weren’t hybrid and just a weight lifter?
4 Gym Days and 6 running day? Did I follow that correctly?
Yep correct bro
Is this too much running to build muscle?

What about begginers ? Im sure i cant handle that right now
12km run the day after leg day 😂😂

Do I have to get a tattoo??
Just other needles

Sundays 😳

62 miles a week? That’s it?
Not too hard without rest day ?
I do take a full rest day once a week now I'm not in marathon training.
Running and Lower body same day 🤔

No leg workouts?
Did you even watch the video ?
