Here we go man. Someone here not trynna make a quick buck of any sponsorship. But just an OG Barber that is real about nicking clients. The good and the bad. Specially about these trimmers. I myself had the hitters because I got suckered into the hype back then. Went right back to Amazon. I just recently got me the corded old school andis. Not liking it either. The Fx is my go to but the problem with those guys is, it’s bulky as a trimmer when you wannabe get into those tight steady spots. Imma subscribe to your video man and watch more of your videos as well. Keep up the realness brother 👊🏽🤙🏽😎
I agree 100%! When I got the andis I didn’t really use them as much, once I started using hot lather, they outperformed my baybliss. My baybliss get lines just a little cleaner on dry hair
They are great, but for me the best I ever used is the Styliner 2. Only reason I give the edge is they NEVER get hot. Wish Andis would have came out with cordless Styliner 2! Great review!
The styleliner 2 is the most underrated Clipper of all time and best shape up Clipper to me also, been doing this for a lot of years I like the babyliss gold efx because they are cordless but stylizer 2s are hard to beat and I will always keep a pair in my toolbox.
Honest those GTX are fire i just had to change the cam follower and the tension spiring once Ive had them for a year and they're hitting better than my new FX boosted
Love the video .. Man that fx3 to sharpe every time. It cuts my clients so much I even pull them back an they still sharpe. I can not set them right. I only use them on me . But they don't cut me
Yea i saw them but honestly… at the rate new machines come out , id be buying a new machine every week! I just decided to stop buying machines just because a new one comes out..
Brilliant video. Thanks so much. Would you recommend the andis gtx for shaving head? For personal use. Hate blades and need something that cuts close to skin. Thanks
my andis are loud as hell for some reason, if i take the blades off it’s quiet when they’re on, as soon as I screw them back in they sound like chainsaws
I hear your yrs of experience bro so what u think of all these trimmers and clippers out?! Hype jobs, replicas with a diff look or what? These prices are crazy too!! Just a thought!
Class A advertising scheme. Companies make a gold clipper, new barbers gotta get all the gold stuff and all if a sudden there the instagram superstars. These damn companies will come out with a clipper.. then 50 different colors.. garbage cheap Chinese crap. As in quality of the machine itself. I bought the SC instincts.. ok facts are the motor is strong as hell, blades sharp as hell, machine itself is cheap ass thin plastic. A wahl seniors about 90$ and way better quality all the way around. IMO thats the only clipper i ever need if i could only use one clipper.
9 months gone by any issue with GTX? i'm looking to buy use one as they so expensive brand new but i see so many mix review that they get really loud overtime abd blade snagging etc
Have you ever tried the stylecraft saber they are really good liners and stylecraft hitters you should get the stylecraft x-pro blade that blade cuts so good it’s the same blade on the saber
I ain’t gonna lie. I’m a big fan of babyliss, but that could be a little bias, because my first nice clippers were the red fx when they were on sale for 75 bucks from 300. Ik I don’t like wahl, but that’s more from a personal ethics standards. I don’t like companies that brand dog clippers as multi use and sell them to people too cheap to go to a barber.
I feel ya. But the dog clippers are listed as dog clippers.. its marketing.. and its crazy i bought my first pair of “afro curved shears” and trying to find them was hard until i googled “dog grooming shears” crazy..
It was when I worked at Walmart and it had a picture of a man and a golden retriever and listed as multi use on the box I’ve only ever seen them on a Walmart shelf. They were like 10 bucks cheaper than the home cut kit. But then again that’s just what my instructor told me when I showed her and they aren’t always right
@@backwoodsbarber I can’t find a way to Dm or anything once I hit the fb link it logs me in but doesn’t put me on your page. But could you do a video on what you think the best clippers for autistic clients with sensory issues are? Part of why I got into barbering is because I’m autistic, with less sensory issues than others, but I got tired of seeing parents let their kids get fucked up haircuts cause don’t nobody wanna take the time to do what it takes to give them a good cut. I think the biggest thing would be that they’re quiet and maybe don’t get so hot on the head
@@C.RWells i dont think its the “clipper” its more the barber. Its about the same as cutting a small child. As from what i gather Autistic people have a delayed mind maturity. And the sensory is also equivalent to a young person. You need to get a seasoned barber who has patience and loves his job. So with that said the best clipper is not the solution. The vibration on their head from the clipper triggers sensory in their ears which makes them uncomfortable. Loud noises are also a trigger. When the clipper gets close to their head it is loud and vibrates. Patience is key! I hate to see a person with any disability with a bad haircut because the barber had no patience. Good luck! I hope this helped.
Andis has more experiences with clippers. I have the regular Andis corded with a gtx blade and it kills my babyliss fx trimmers. Even my Chinese trimmers with the gtx blade is better
You need to get the gold x pro blade with the one cutter I put them on my absolute hitters and it took them out the drawer it’s sharp and don’t snag or pull

Debulk shears over comb or detachables and the clippers you have can debulk without snagging Check your blades ask for help.
Lol been cutting a long time bud. I know a pair of crappy clippers or good clippers. But thx
Brilliant video. Thanks so much.
Would you recommend the andis gtx for shaving head? For personal use.
Hate blades and need something that cuts close to skin. Thanks
Shaving head. Babyliss with deep tooth blade. I use that on my clients
@backwoodsbarber thank you. which babyliss? the fx or boost+ etc? Or is it the blade that matters?
Grabbed those and the cordless gold masters last week. Don’t know why I waited so long to pull the cord, smh.
Yup was hard to go cordless but its worth it!
Hi, what would be the best balanced trimmer at the moment? Preferably maneuverable
Wahl detailer
I had those tan ones in 93
Me too!
I wanted to buy the exo but everyone I know that has them they get super loud and the switch goes bad
Hmmm i cut 10 heads a day.. never had a problem.. ill watch out for it. Thx
@@backwoodsbarber np I hope yours don't do that tho
Try the thin blade for babyliss instead of the deep tooth
I did. They snag hair. My dlc im happy with
Are they still holding up? Or do you have changed thoughts?
Still going strong. I own a busy barber shop. Machines are running all day..
gtx exo or detailer for self cuts?
Babyliss gold trimmer

Probably the cam follower
Use the stylecraft gold xpro blade with the one cutter on those absolute hitters. You can thank me later
