That was pretty good, although I thought it said that if you use it too much, you die and this guy went through at least 20 time travel scenarios and maybe thousands more trying to unlock the box.
Exactly. Cage's character generally could see 2 minutes forward, which allowed him to escape dicey situations, just as this guy did. People who put this together should have been candid and credited "Next" for inspiration. Zero chance none of these people ever saw "Next."
Watch 'Jumper'. Saw this movie decades ago as a kid! I enjoyed it then! I think I found the full movie on youtube; ua-cam.com/video/xH8O9Or9TWg/v-deo.html Enjoy!
Well, the editor and narrator get Big Props!!! Mr. Geary this was Awesome! Just so very polished! I don't give these types of praise often; I absolutely think Team Geary has every right to take a bow!
Thank you for being part of the worldwide crew that is preparing the public. Although I agree with other commenters that time is only a construct of this 3-d paradigm, (to keep us enslaved by such a powerful distraction) I also understand that we must help our fellow terrans in the best way they can understand. The general public, sad to say, must be spoonfed ideas - but without coming from an intellectually elitist attitude.
I didn't like it until about half way through then I got really into it. I like how you showed him changing the outcome, the blur transitions were great 👍🏼
It's nice to see a time travel theme that doesn't fit the common mold. However, I did notice a similarity to Edge of Tomorrow. Must have been simultaneous development in parallel timelines that converged in ours. What luck! And Vance's sideburns were epic.
admittedly i was a little concerned about the glitchy newsreel style at first. a lot going on. thankfully the main storyline was clear enough for me to latch onto. i guess that timeline is the one that kept me in the story of this short!
I enjoyed it. I would have preferred they explained or showed somehow why there aren't other choices, like, say, not being there when the raid happens, since you know it is gonna happen.
How do you keep your memories with this form of time travel? How can you remember every possible sequence of situations? Even the once you didn't live through?
Short film: Is made in Australia Writer: Hmmm, I need a nickname for time-travellers Writer's friend: Time-o's? Writer: Nah Writer's friend: Timeys? Writer: Spon on, Dave-o! Writer's friend: Ah cheers, Lukey! :D
Best one I've seen today awesome wish this was a show I mean it's really cool I mean the time travel ones are usually pretty neat but this one has action in it and a great Bond style or Jason Bourne type of thing anyway thanks for it in the it was really well done
Secret link for me, but I'm already subbed to this channel! If you're not already, I'd suggest you do because they have some great short films on here.
I wouldn't say we have plenty of time.. use time wisely is what I would say it's what you do with your time that's important which is why you don't waste it
Powerful, you have just made my manifest, I am not alone in thinking that time can be manipulated by our forethoughts. We can pick any time in our past and relive it, and that is the question, does that mean we have learned from it? There is no time in our past that I would want to revisit. We can do Science, we can send men to the Moon, but our base stupidity will doom us all. To end this, will have to say the US Educational system has created a dumbing down of the US and we get morons who's only work experience is being told to them by a director.
Good film, but think about it. There is no 'them', it's just more 'us' all the way down. Things don't get better just by fighting, you have to be fighting *for* something and the enemy is ourselves. We have to have a plan for how to fix ourselves or we're fighting to replace ourselves with ourselves, which is kindof insane.
These most improbable sci-fi time travel mechanism I've heard for a while - but at least it is sci-fi and not sci-woo misinterpretations of QM and relativity... There are nor wormholes. You can't fold points in spacetime together and warp drives are impossible.
Bit too much exposition for my liking. Needed some more story and character focus. Love the AE work, though. Did you put green dots on the weapons and shields to track?
PhillyD send me here, I liked and subed, awesome short! Looking forward to watching the other shorts, or since they have already been published, is it looking backwards?
GREAT CONCEPT...but shit fight scenes and they tried to keep the music and emotion tone as a constant high tension but it just wears off after awhile, that's why games and movies focus on tense and release waves.
I didn't enjoy this one and stopped watching at 4 minutes. The drumming soundtrack and narration are overdone. No idea how it ends, but I hope the time police caught that guy and shut him up.
Just one thing. You assume "time" as such even exists, outside of the largest, unitary scale (whole universe as single brick). What if it doesn't? That's not exactly a virus talking either. :) What if "time" as such is only a thought process we _Learn_, the way Peek-a-Boo teaches us "object permanence" as infants? Sure, learning the thought process has its uses--you can't get to cause and effect without *sequence* after all. So no "time" ever means no logic. No consistent memory or personality either. But how do we know "time"? Seriously. Everything goes back to our senses and how we extend them. And our senses are fixed at a _natural_ perceptual framerate, for the modal human being, of 60 frames per second. Some people perceive things slightly faster, others slower, and many aren't taught to distinguish between the visual of 60 frames per second and 30 frames. Dogs perceive things at roughly 100 frames per second. House flies? 300 frames per second. Sure, some of this is linked to lifespan. From what we can perceive. But how do we know? **lol** Look, I'm not some "jedi" here. Hardly. I'm just someone who has been prone to both "deja vu" repeating loops and the Mandela Effect a lot in his life. 3, maybe 4 times on the Mandela Effect, _dozens_ of times with the "deja vu" thing. And I'm not saying I have perfect recall or any of that. What I'm saying is: even at the unitary level (brick-universe, universe as one object) some researchers are wondering if there's multiple _arrows_ of time, going in different relative directions (to each other). Last time I checked, there were 3, maybe 4 solid multiple-universe theories going out there, and even so, there's no reason to believe time is entirely linear or one-directional. But yeah, don't overthink it if you do in fact _jump ahead_ or fall back by whole entire minutes. Yes, even if you're sure your clocks and watches and smartphones have correct time. Don't overthink it. The problem with remembering the future is that you then have to anticipate your own past--memory and personality. Meaning: forcing the whole "OMG Time Travel !!1!" thing really is a ticket to Crazy-Town. The subjective experience of it is a risk to your mental health.
Id love to watch a full movie on this. Or even just a TV series or something. I need more back story and everything. This is truly wonderful.
This was great! And I can't believe there's David Ashby!
The door shield was so awesome
That was pretty good, although I thought it said that if you use it too much, you die and this guy went through at least 20 time travel scenarios and maybe thousands more trying to unlock the box.
🔵 You'd think that he would have gone back and prevented that wound the video ended with him having!
@@joshhayl7459 true, and you'd think they'd use stun guns that actually knock you out....which would have stopped all his jumping
The limit is 5000 time jumps.
It would be interesting to see what these guys could do with a bigger budget and more time!
I am a big fan of time travel naratives but this is a very original take on it. Excellent. More of this concept would be welcome.
Fascinating! I'd watch a full length feature or even a TV series based on this!!!
Chilling premise.
Can you please make a whole movie out of this?
There are a lot of things on here I wish would be made full movies.
Watch the movie "Next" with Nicolas Cage. This short is almost a blatant rip off of that movie.
I think I found the full movie on youtube;
ua-cam.com/video/xH8O9Or9TWg/v-deo.html
Enjoy!
Badger Pundit that movie is great
I'd never considered time travel as biological before 👍
Well, the editor and narrator get Big Props!!! Mr. Geary this was Awesome! Just so very polished! I don't give these types of praise often; I absolutely think Team Geary has every right to take a bow!
Very interesting concept. This video was also very enjoyable. That guy is now basically dead though. I hope that item in the box was worth it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So dope
Nation where you at!
Liked it. Hope it gets made into a series.
need more of this
Really like the "Source Code", "Mimics aliens", "Groundhog day" vibe of this video. Only one time line? What can happen. Does happen.
don't forget Edge of Tomorrow!
I was thinking source code meets Jumper lol

Phoo!! I shouldn't have started eating while I watched this! So exhilarating that I was almost choking. LOL
I didn't like it until about half way through then I got really into it. I like how you showed him changing the outcome, the blur transitions were great 👍🏼
Great job!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
It's nice to see a time travel theme that doesn't fit the common mold. However, I did notice a similarity to Edge of Tomorrow. Must have been simultaneous development in parallel timelines that converged in ours. What luck! And Vance's sideburns were epic.
Another one mini series worthy. Nice story-interesting concept...
Almost same like Edge of Tomorrow movie. Back again to many moments and repair fight in future 😱
That's Italian Spiderman!
That's just like the film Predestination (2014) with not jumping too far in time
admittedly i was a little concerned about the glitchy newsreel style at first. a lot going on. thankfully the main storyline was clear enough for me to latch onto. i guess that timeline is the one that kept me in the story of this short!
Now that blew my mind!
1:46 This is a show of a Czech actor Jan Kraus!
I'm sold! So where can I catch this disease?
I enjoyed it. I would have preferred they explained or showed somehow why there aren't other choices, like, say, not being there when the raid happens, since you know it is gonna happen.
That was badass!!!!
That was fun to watch.

That was awesome.

PLEEEEEASE CAN A STUDIO MAKE THIS INTO A MOVIE OR A GAME THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME

A very similar situation to what league of legends ekko short was about... was still pretty neat.
I wouldn't say we have plenty of time.. use time wisely is what I would say it's what you do with your time that's important which is why you don't waste it

Tyrone Charles same
An edit of this where it's just the main action without the newsreel footage would be interesting to watch.
;)
PhillyD brought me here.
Welcome to DUST.
I laughed at the (presumed) Danger 5 reference.
Sometimes I get a white box popup top right near the end of youtube videos, how do I turn those off? It's immersion breaking.

wow
You mortals and time...
It seems like a true story, but I'll have to go back to the beginning and compare it with what will happen ….
Life is Strange
Bit too much exposition for my liking. Needed some more story and character focus.

Welcome to DUST. We add new shorts every week.
I think someone was having a little too much fun in after effects...
Anyone tell me what's all this?
I did not get it at all.
nice
I should play Braid
edge of tomorrow
LINK OF THE DAY
it needs more custard pies.
If I could go back in time a few seconds I woulda let that fart out more slowly. Now I have to change my underpants.
Not so Sci-Fi Ahh AI, given the times we are liiving in. ....
GREAT CONCEPT...but shit fight scenes and they tried to keep the music and emotion tone as a constant high tension but it just wears off after awhile, that's why games and movies focus on tense and release waves.
*knocks* Hi Phil sent me....
Welcome to DUST.
Philip DeFranco anyone?
How many ways do EYE loooove this?! You already KNOW! Brilliant! 💦💦💦
Life is Strange 3
Who thought that was Jon Snow?
Music is too loud. Can't hear narrator.
One chik fil a chicken sandwich
I had a "minority report" feel from this.
99 percent of your short films are amazing but this one was a bit cheesy. Not gonna lie.
U guys need someone to do your sound.
I didn't enjoy this one and stopped watching at 4 minutes. The drumming soundtrack and narration are overdone. No idea how it ends, but I hope the time police caught that guy and shut him up.
"Be your own grandfather " wtf

Quit giving yourself a thumbs up. Nobody cares.
What on earth are you on about?
Too messy. Good story though
