You hear a lot of people immediately trashing this because it’s a mini amp and is quite expensive, even I wasn’t sure, but this actually sounds super good. Man…😮
Thanks! Since I had the Go already, I knew Positive Grid could make a great modeling amp in a small package… I figured with Vai on board this would be a winner. And man, this little guy RIPS!!! I would recommend the mini (non Vai) for anyone wanting a solid practice or recording amp and doesn’t want to spend the money. If you can swing the Vai, it is well worth it! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. Welcome to the Guitaroholic family! Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Steve vai needs to sign a guitar and send it this dudes way. I just came across this guy the first time this video and he seems dope af! Haha appreciate the video Wes! Happy I came across your stuff!
Thanks man, I appreciate you digging the content! Holy shit I hope Vai sees this 🤣 THANK YOU for the kind words and supporting a small channel. Welcome to the Guitaroholic family, my friend! Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Great plaing, Wes! Am anxiously awaiting for the (delayed) delivery thanks to "mail innovations" which includes both UPS and USPS in the mix. Any day it should arrive. Rock on indeed. Cheers!
Jem Jr has come along way....i have a japanese jem...my cousin bought a jr and asked me to set it up for him. Of course there is a difference but it is definitely abgreat guitar for the money....he got the shocking pink...looked great, 80's vibe... i think jatoba fretboard? Felt pretty nice
I was eyeballing the new Jem, but I just got a PRS SE Custom 24 last week… Hi, my name is Wes, and I’m a Guitaroholic 🤣 The price of good guitars is going up rapidly, and I’m always happy to find a good deal. The Jem Jr. is a great deal! I’m happy your cousin was able to get one, and may he shred in good health. I had to demo the Spark Vai with the Jr, but will do more with it soon. I have 60 other instruments to run through it, so expect to see a lot more of it. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
@@birdsfabulous 61 instruments total, including guitars and basses, a mandolin and a ukulele. I started playing seriously in 92, and the collection began! I don’t have a problem, and definitely don’t need an intervention.
I should be getting mine very soon, I'm a huge fan of Steve Vai so I really hope I get a signed one but if not I am still happy to get it. I mostly play out of a Boss Katana but I like how portable this one is. Thanks for sharing the sounds and your thoughts about it
That is so awesome! I hope you get a signed one, too! I just joined the Katana club with the Go, and I’m impressed! Headphone amps have come a long way in a short time, and that one is awesome! Let me know if you get a signed one, and definitely share your thoughts on the amp; the Guitaroholics want to know! Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
@@WesGuitaroholics I got mine the other day and I love it! It sounds great for being so tiny! Mine wasn't signed but that's ok I will probably end up buying a signed CD from Steve eventually. 😀I'm glad you liked the Boss Katana Go, I have the original 50 watt combo Boss Katana and it has been awesome. I think I only paid 220 for it, which is a great value. This one is so cool I love all the features it comes with, even having a built in tuner is great. I've been using it to play music as well around the house. Hope you have fun with yours 👍
Thank you! I preordered pretty much as soon as the opened it up. Congrats on the purchase; let me know what you think. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Welcome to the Guitaroholic family and Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
@@WesGuitaroholics I received mine, but no signature. Bummer. I quickly checked the sound and didn't expect much from such a small box, but it sounds surprisingly good! I've never used Positive Grid amps before, only their software. The presets are close to what I would usually set up in the software. I'll be taking this amp with me for practice in the car or wherever I have to wait.
Howdy! I have no issue with the mandala; it’s from Vai’s Hydra guitar and is another personal touch from Steve. But you’re in luck! The grill is replaceable and Positive Grid will even make you a custom one for about $20! Whatever you think about the looks, this little dude sounds like a BEAST! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I’d this is your first time on the channel, welcome to the Guitaroholic family! Rock On!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Ah, that makes more sense; sorry for the confusion. I have not tried to remove it, but I’ll look at the extra grill that came with the Spark Go and see how it’s attached. I’m guessing it’s glued in, but will confirm. You may be better off coloring over it. I’ll check and get back to ya.
The badge IS REMOVABLE! It’s held on by 3 small metal arms that you should be able to straighten and it should come right off. Verified on the Mini and Go. Happy jamming!

@@Vladimir-Shestakov that’s fantastic! If it makes you play more, then it is worth every penny!
The whole aesthetic of the thing is ruined by that horrible logo on the front. I hope it’s removable without leaving holes in the grille
