This breed killed a female housemaid in my country Indonesia. I'll be scare like hell if someday I meet with one of them, never imagine they can be so powerful and agile.
I met a malinois Shepard mix this weekend who was once a police dog. She suffered from ptsd from being shot. She was on death row and almost put down because she was no longer able to fulfill her duties as an officer, until my friend adopted her. 45 minutes before she was euthanized. She is now living in a loving and happy home. Recovering from her suffering and being treated with care and respect. You can see the pain of her past in her eyes, but she tries her best to be happy. I love this dog and have nothing but respect for her. It inspires me to adopt an old service dog someday.
Well, why would they euthanize her? If she’s not able to work, they could cure her and put her up for a adoption I’m sure there’s hundreds of people that would want these dogs.

As an animal medical professional, I urge the Belgian Malinois Lovers group to keep educating the public about the important needs of this breed. Please do intensive screening of potential owners. The veterinary and shelter/rescue world is anticipating the recent movie to lead to impulsive buying, and later dumping of these special dogs. As you know, they require educated, energetic, disciplined and devoted owners. We don’t want to see dogs like these, with. so much potential, “go bad” because owners aren’t trained before getting a dog, or aren’t prepared to work to make this dog a happy, good canine citizen. We don’t want a crisis of Malinois dumping and, perhaps, euthanasias. Thanks for educating and for protecting this breed. 👍 👏
These are a high energy intense breed. I've spent about $10k in training so far, he's 3.5 years old and made the Tasmanian Devil look like a cream puff when he was a puppy. Smart, loyal but they need a job. I belong to a tracking club and it has made a world of difference. These dogs need a lot of attention, exercise and constant training. Lazy people need not apply.

Hard to connect that animal with the one in the video. Kudos I guess to the owner.
You know what I find amusing? When you watch shows, movies - the mean, aggressive, "evil" dog tends to be a Malinois (though most people think its a GS).
May you live long enough to be in the presence of something that humbles you to tears. The immense loyalty and willingness to sacrifice of the dog is the most humbling of all.

Love my Belgian Malinois. My husband has a Dutch Shepherd and we just adopted a German Shepherd puppy. I stay home and have time to work with them . German Shepherd is calm compared to the others . All are so lovable and protective of their people 💕
I have both a GSD (female) and a Malinois (female) - in a household with four young children. The Mal is still only 4 months old and she blows my mind every single day with respect to how quickly she learns and how athletic she is for her age. My GSD is an amazing animal, but this Mal is next level. Absolutely needs a ton of mental stimulation during the day or you could never physically exhaust them. Super gentle around the kids, and I fear for anyone that tries to f- with my family lol.
sit. they've been trained not to attack if you sit down on your hands. Well actually they've been trained to attack your arms. As this makes it easy for them to trow you against the ground. If you already ar sitting on your hands : there is no point for them to engage. all of this is trained behaviour. They are incredibly sweet dogs, and automatically super carefull areround small children. Like they feel they're dealing with something precious and sensitive. Super playfull if you engage with them, but prepare for some bruises lol
I agree @nevin sunil ... but I don't agree with those who say this breed isn't a pet ... they make wonderful pets, TO THE RIGHT OWNER! My 85 lb Mal is a big baby!!! Loves affection and petting and loves to show love. I should mention that I give her 3 to 4 hours a day (on average) of intense physical activity and at least an hour of mental....EVERY DAY, not just when I feel like it.
@@alphonsemontavon4455 I have one mixed with a GSP shorthair pure blood 🩸. What I got a was a more muscular version of this and let me clarify what I mean is I simply got a bigger version of this same build ! It’s an amazing amazing animal. If you can get one mixed do it. When this man says they are smart he means it. Not to mention the athleticism. My K9 (Nyla is her name ) can climb foot hills like a billy goat and had better cardio than a vizla - so it would appear so far ) incredibly fast agile cool animals
You are so right Arjen. My grandparents have two of them too. Zita who's almost 2y saved my grandfathers life. He was cutting branches in the garden when a huge one felt off on his head. He passed out straight away. Zita jumped over the huge fence into the neighbors garden and came back with the neighbors who called an ambulance. If Zita wouldn't have reacted straight away, my grandfather wouldn't have survived it. The time he was in the hospital Zita refused to eat and was crying the entire time. We all feared for her life. A doctor gave us permission to bring her to the hospital and she stayed there with my grandfather for a week. Now she follows him everywhere. If he takes a shower of bath, she will wait next to the shower of bath. He can't even use the toilet along 😂She is even worse than my grandmother. Their other Mal is Roko a male of 1 year old and he loves everyone.
I have a Belgian Tervuren, which is one of the 4 types of Belgian sheepdogs, she's amazing, the best dog one could ask for, super intelligent and active, she goes everywhere with me, and loves to be loved and be a part of the family.
My brother has a Belgian shepherd which is one of the four types and it’s intelligence is as frightening as it’s agility and speed. Literally reminds me of the velociraptors in Jurassic park.
Simon H , Said the troll in its characteristically odious tone, giving us a revealing insight to the tragic severity of its plaintive and woeful existence. Better?
@@LosDoyerss correction, she was a ‘Dutch Herder’. They’re almost identical to the mallionois albeit brindle in colour. She was an extremely intense dog. Her mother, a working dog, sniffed out land mines in Afghanistan. She could actually walk backwards on her rear legs, run a figure of eight around goalposts on her own when called to, army crawl, etc. I’ve never met a dog like it. But she was also extremely hyperactive. She would wet herself with excitement if she saw the parked car through the window because she thought it meant ‘walkies’. Amazing dog but not a pet at all, she was very much a hyper-energetic dog that needed constant commands and didn’t care much for lying down. Not a good option as a pet if you like your house, garden, time or energy!
Got a Malinois a few weeks ago - taken out of a unsuitable living situation. He is 18 months old, gorgeous ( a lot of black on him) and 64 pounds of muscle. A super guard dog, and command trained for voice or hand signals. A thief would not make it past the doorway. He has become very loyal in a very short time. My little Jack Russell/Maltese cross (17 pounds) beats him up on a daily basis and my Whippet bosses him around at her will, LOL! There are tons of fields close to the house, so plenty of opportunity for exercise plus a yard for him to run around in.
I have Belgian Malinois and he is the best boy he can run a mile in Les then I min he’s teh sweetest boy and I love him he is vary protective like he will lay with me on the couch when I’m home alone and if he hears one noise he just runs barking em and him have the best bond and mad I can’t explain how much I love him
My goodness yes they are truly amazing! Had two of them in the past & the last guy lived to 16 years old. I wasn’t able to have him outside when I needed to cut the grass as he would “attack” the running push mover & nite down on one of the front wheels & play tug of war with it. R.I.P. Turk. I miss you every day & will always remember you. Good Day Everyone!
I used to just shut mine off and give it to him come back 20 minutes later and find it down the road in the neighbor's yard.. with him still standing there growling at it..... Just kidding.
@DECIMUS MAXIMUS my pit bull is the same , he will try to grab at the mower, or any moving object. His favorite toy is an old bowling ball that we keep outside for him . It moves and keeps him entertained for hours.
Magnificent dogs! Unfortunately, for me, I couldn't keep up with one, on my best day, thirty years ago! All you malinois owners, you're richly fortunate and miraculously blessed, take good care of them!
Love your comment and pic with your pup, Brother. I was just thinking of how a dog like this could keep us moving forward, then immediately saw your comment ✊🏻
I had a Belgian Malinois/lab mix, until a few months ago when I had to have her put down after 17 years 😥 She was such a great dog, and probably deserved a better handler/owner than I was to her (she was my first dog), but she was endlessly loyal and loving ❤️
You 2 were meant for each other. 17 years is a long time for a large dog. I have a Belgian Tervuren. He's 10 years old. I hope he has the longevity your dog had. You did a good job of caring for your dog and I'm sorry you lost your best buddy.
17 years? That's fantastic, she was for you as you were for her. I've had 3 puppers (Westie, Golden Lab and A Chow Retriever mix all in the span of 25 years)and all lived for 14/15 years. My newest pupper is just 7 months and a wild child but I love her just as I loved my other puppers. I called them all gifts from God!
Give yourself more credit the 🐕 lived along live, thinks of 🐕 as your 👼, they kept that dann devil (crime) away. We are BLESSED to loyal companions I feel this way, there sometimes BETTER than humans. 😃
O my gosh!! Have never seen this breed of dog and as I watched the video my mouth hung open in surprise at what these dogs can do. Absolutely incredible!! Would love to see one perform!!
My sister, a former police officer, had a German Shepherd when she worked the elevated and subway in Chicago. You did not mess with this dog! And these gorgeous dogs are high energy, need loads of exercise and would probably be not the best choice for those with family or friends that come by. They are incredibly protective and Fierce!
@@garryh3126 Apparently, you never met with a Malinois. They are indeed patriot missiles, and they need men with balls, and no sissies, to deal with them. Stay away if you don't have them.
As the mom of a Mali mix, I can atest to the intelligence, athleticism and sarcasm of the breed. Only dog I have ever had to give me a nosebleed after coming home from work. High velocity kisses can hurt, even when the fluffy hurricane loves you
Definitely one of the best dog races in the world ❤ I had a Belgium shepherd over 11 years, he was an active and loving family dog. Best company when I was hiking in Finnish Lapland alone and a perfect protector in a city of over million people. Was never worried to leave him with a baby in a pram in the garden. Intelligent and easy to learn - miss him still after 13 years ❤
If you are thinking of getting one of these pups make sure you have time for it because they have an insane energy and drive and if you don't train them they will find ways to release their energy. These are not for everyone ❤️
I'm glad you said that because I live in an apartment and it seems way too energetic for that environment. It appears to need a lot of running space to be happy.
I was born in Malines, so I am a Malinois too. My dog is - of course - a Malinois. We have so much in common: we're both crazy as hell (a must) and enjoy life to the fullest. Great to be a Malinois
I have one and she's on constant alert which surprises me. She never takes her eyes off me wondering what i'm up to and wondering if i'm going to give her a command. She's easily trained and always ready for anything. Not an average dog and they understand even the most subtle of things. High energy, and alertness is their calling card.
@@lavanyabaranwal6957 i had one and i can tell you that yes. BUT you have to go to your local educational center in order to educate it AND it needs to be active EVERY DAY, at least twice a day. Incredible race, it can learn a lot but needs attention.
I have a Belgian Tervuren which is the long-haired brother to the Malinois. These dogs are the best dogs. Aim to please, serious work dogs and very trainable, also into running and endurance. Very high energy and physical dogs. My dog is 10 years old and still in high gear.
I’ve seen this video a few times and every time I’m always impressed with the energy and how focus these dogs are, it’s like GOD created a super dog with the agility of a cat . W🤯W!!!
After watching the video, and owning cats for years.... This dog is heads and tails over anything I have ever seen. O M G. How beautiful and committed to the challenges. If we lived our lives even half intensive pursuing our human, imagine what each of us could/would achieve.
@@AR_119 my lawyer had one Drew up for me had it on the bar in the kitchen. Just got the wrong one . Remain close friends with her family hell for the next 8 or 10 years right on through my next girlfriend they came for Christmas dinner Thanksgiving dinner it was kind of odd because my girlfriend's family kind of clashed with their family and another town and they knew each other.?? All I can say is food was good I throw down a couple turkeys horser dressing all the vegetables and they bring the pies and the ham. And Waldorf salad and some other stuff.
I have one and they are on their own league. Had german shepherds before witch i love and they are amazing dogs and the Malinois is amazing on steroids. fast , courageous, fearless.
I rescued one when I was 19. I wanted a dog and he needed a home. He was my best friend. We did everything together. He was absolutely intimidating to people who didn't know him. He didn't even have to act aggressive. His demeanor and statue made people know he wasn't there to take any bs
Well said. I own two extremely energetic German Shepherds (they are sisters) who run and jump and play all, every day and even I have to admit that a Malinois is out of my league and the poor dog would suffer. People have to be honest with themselves about things such as this.
We have a 4 year old Mal mix (a rescue) who has totally bonded to me. She's not normally intimidating, but let someone who she doesn't feel right about try to get near me, and she takes up a protective stance at my side. I have no doubt that she would take no bs off of anyone.
@QB I agree whole-heartedly. I, too, have two GSDs. Two males. They are very well trained (I trained them) but I would not try a Mal. I love and admire them, but I'm not good enough to tackle that task. Wish I was.
Q: So what kind of breed would u like: a fast dog, an aggressive dog, one that can climb, is intelligent or one that’s fiercely loyal and protective? A: yes.
I had two at different times. Well, they had all the necessary physical and mental qualities. At the same time, very balanced. When such a dog is badly balanced (poor selection of the breeder who only seeks aggressiveness) or badly educated (erroneous method of the educator), it can become dangerous. But if he comes from a serious breeding and is well educated, he is exceptional, magnificent, unique.
wow they’re like little ninjas! i have a malinois of my own, they’re very smart and learn quickly, sometimes they even figure out how to get around humans’ rules and get what they want! they’re super muscular and once they have you on their side, they will do everything to protect you.
My neighbor growing up raised and trained these for law enforcement. They are pretty incredible animals. Right up a tree or over a 6ft fence with one command. Oddly enough his fence was shorter than the training obstacles he had built for them.
I'm totally blown away I used to work as a security officer with a K9 unit. We hadn't German Shepherds that had been trained by the police. I loved every minute of it I still love dogs
Robyn Shillinger my adult malionis dog she was very hyper and my grandparents made her sleep outside a lot, my grandparents didn’t let us play with her idk why and she always escape our back yard. I so glad she went to a new family.
Back when I served in the swiss military, there was a dog unit, consisting of shorthair malinois-pitbull hybrids…… i’m telling you, those dogs were impressive. Height, looks and color of the malinios, but jacked like a pitbull
I have a bull lurcher and he’s 26inches at the shoulder and the most hard core dog I’ve ever had incredible balance he’s 14 years old now but still looks jacked. He fears nothing it’s his way or the highway even now. Weighs about 60 pounds and his power and determination is faultless. Do you think it would breed well with one of these Belgian mals 🤷♂️. I was told when I got my dog he told me the last thing he wanted was the dog to be a household pet it wasn’t breed to be a household pet and he said also that he doesn’t breed quitters. The man was 100% correct apart I made him a household pet when I left 🤣. He’s never turned on anyone but has given them a funny look and a growl if he doesn’t like there body language especially if they raise there voice towards my daughter or if they don’t look right when there walking past the car he goes ballistic and the sound can make your blood curdle. Basically I’d like to put him with another dog before he goes 🤷♂️he’s an unbelievable colour also he’s short haired blonde in colour but with strong black stripes running through like a Siberian tiger. It would be a shame not to get a litter from him before he goes although he has had two litters in the past with some very impressive looking pups that varied between English bull mastiff cain corso pit bull hybrid 😄 unbelievable really
My father in law has one of these and to run her he literally takes her to a dirt road in the middle of no where and drives at about 20 to 25 miles and hour and she keeps up with the truck x.x these dogs are machines!
I do the same thing with mine! I own an acre of land and sometimes I will bust out the four-wheeler and drive around and let her chase it. I also have a deer lease with miles of field and sometimes I will take her and the four-wheeler out there for a special treat. She is insane; the amount of athletic ability and focus she has never ceases to amaze me.
Love the puppy who escaped through the small opening in kennel is like, Yeah, I'm a different kinda dog! LOL and the dog still in the kennel is dumbfounded! 😂
I have a Belgian she's about 9 years old she's a beautiful dog I adopted from a homeless guy. She had parvel and we saved her. She is so well manared. Untrained but smart and loves all other animals in the house But she's really Protective. I'm going to give you her name in case anybody else thinks it's perfect for this beautiful dog. Mila
They are athletic and very very high energy. Eager to learn and learn faster than any other breed. They also like the praise for doing a good job and they know when it's a job well done. Not a breed for everyone or first time dog owners. But we love ours.
Had a beautiful one we got at two years of age. Absolutely loved him. He lived to be eighteen!!! My husband was reluctant to tell people his breed when questioned so he would just say, "He's a Beligian Waffle"
My cousin has one of these for a work dog. I'm not sure he's actually a dog...but whatever he is, I'm glad he's on our side🤣🤣😓
Sorry about Dean.

Even though these dog are trained to protect they do it with out
thought of their own safety and with such grace. Awesome!
Basically, do not run. Lie down and pray for mercy.
sit. they've been trained not to attack if you sit down on your hands.

If you can’t commit your life to training this dog the thought of owning one should not even cross your mind.
Any pet really
I saw a women walking into petco with one of these pups and I thought she had no idea what she was in for.
Scott Falkner that’s insane. These are working dogs who need direction every second of the day they shouldn’t be considered pets
Should have permits to own animals and to have children.
В нашем доме был такой пёс. Прожил 13 лет.Он останется в нашем сердце навсегда.

Vlamingen zullen nooit de term "Malinois"gebruiken, maar eeenvoudig"Mechelaar"....dus ook voor deze hond....😉
I need one, I am 34 and have realized me and people don’t get along
I have a Tervuren too. He's my best friend!!!
My brother has a Belgian shepherd which is one of the four types and it’s intelligence is as frightening as it’s agility and speed. Literally reminds me of the velociraptors in Jurassic park.
Probably has better grammar than you as well.
Simon H , Said the troll in its characteristically odious tone, giving us a revealing insight to the tragic severity of its plaintive and woeful existence.

😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆
Belgian Shepherd is not a Malinois.
The stopping power and the climbing/jumping is incredible! These creatures are awesome!!!
I am impressed with the dog's speed, and agility. Incredible.
Thank you for rescuing 👌🏼
These dogs are freaking amazing with mind blowing 🤯 agility. My dad got me 1 when I was 10. The fun we had 🤗, Rest well Smokey 💞
I have Belgian Malinois and he is the best boy he can run a mile in Les then I min he’s teh sweetest boy and I love him he is vary protective like he will lay with me on the couch when I’m home alone and if he hears one noise he just runs barking em and him have the best bond and mad I can’t explain how much I love him
The pup at the end just told that little Spaniel "seeya, wouldn't wanna be ya" 😂

So much love and respect for these exceptional, highly intelligent animals.
“Belgian Malinois don’t care”; bonafide badass!
My malinois is my ride or die. Love this boy more than anything and wouldn't have made it through these past few years without him.

I had a Belgian Malinois/lab mix, until a few months ago when I had to have her put down after 17 years 😥 She was such a great dog, and probably deserved a better handler/owner than I was to her (she was my first dog), but she was endlessly loyal and loving ❤️
Sorry for your loss, bonny lass.
If the dog was loving and loyal to you then you were it's right owner in my experience.
17 years is a great age, don’t be too hard on yourself

What a beautiful creature
@QB
I agree whole-heartedly. I, too, have two GSDs. Two males. They are very well trained (I trained them) but I would not try a Mal. I love and admire them, but I'm not good enough to tackle that task. Wish I was.
This is facts. My best friend has one and when we go places.. People just looks and respects him while he's just minding his own business.
Simply amazing animals. They are the ninja strike force of the dog world.
Cat : I can climbed any tree
Belgian malinois: hold my dinosaur bone 🦴
You made my day!!! Literaly they are that way!!
These dogs are UNBELIEVABLE! They call them Maligators for a reason. I would not want to be on the receiving end of these dogs! 🐾♥️🐾

He fears nothing it’s his way or the highway even now. Weighs about 60 pounds and his power and determination is faultless. Do you think it would breed well with one of these Belgian mals 🤷♂️.
