Splashtoon 3- I genuinely love how everyone has come together to hate on splash being to op rn. We all have united against a cause, kinda like how it was with reeflux.
Splash really doesn't add anything good to the game. At least with machine it changed things by keeping shooters in check but of course the first thing they did in the game is nerf shooter counters. If splash gets nerfed to unplayability the game really won't lose anything so I'm still hoping for the day that won't come.
I was really hoping the developers learned from 2 and would start to give more attention to non shooters, but each update confuses me even more on what are they thinking
It was a nice surprise for me. As a Tri Slosher main I was hoping for a Kraken special for Tri Slosher but Tanticooler is still pretty healthy for it as well as it’s Fizzy sub
This new trislosher kit looks really fun, fizzy for it is great and tacticooler makes sense, the kit is actually useful since you don’t get 2 nearly useless items
the devs definitely know, they listen to feedback 100%. that's why it's important to complain. they constantly check social media, it's how they've found most glitches to patch them so far
This is an assumption. Missiles doesn't have less kits than the other weapons. Inkjet just caught up with it at 3. It is entirely possible that they are waiting until next Season to drop another missile weapon. Also, 100% listen to feedback? Then why are there so many "bad" kits?

So many disappointing kits this season because they SPECIFICALLY started off the season showing off kraken and chump as a healthy missile replacement but not only put them on only two weapons each but kneecapped the kits that SHOULD have gotten them. It's just depressing that L3s burst bomb kit is cucked, jet still has to be ultra passive, and most weapons got kits that are basically the same if not worse than their vanilla kits. Those patchnotes better be on the scale of "reefslider and vacuum are busted now"
@@novinovi- as someone who mains wiper. Stamp does NOT work properly. Its better yes but the ammount of times ive hit people with either rush mode or jump attack and they took no damage is so high its insane. Its better than it was at launch but its still bad and doesnt work half the time
Im still salty about L3 getting stamp. Every damn weapon i play in this game has been given stamp and im so sick of it. Especially bc the special is bad and doesnt protect you from the front. Has a bit too much startup and just doesn't kill sometimes for no reason

Tri Slosher really got the kit we all wanted Big Swig to have, looks pretty fun! Not super sure about Neo Sploosh having wail, although a new beacon weapon is nice to see. The fact you have to pay *a hundred coins* every time you use the jukebox seems random and unnecessary but I can't wait to get all those song names. I don't really care about online tableturf. Interesting that you can only play with people through pools

The problem with the new sploosh imo is inkbrush just seems better as a close range fast traversal killer whail weapon but at least squid beacon can maybe give it a niche but still splat bomb is better
With basically all the shooters out of the way, I feel like the next set of kits we get are going to be more reasonably impactful. Given that a lot of shooters play similar, good kit options for a bunch of other weapons may have the chance to seriously shake things up. Given also that no shooter thus far has gotten missiles, and no additional shooters have recieved Crab, we may see some wild meta definers in upcoming seasons. We'll have to wait and see. Or we can just get fizzy tri-strike 52 and cry for another 3 months. Who knows?

I was very nervous of Sploosh getting point sensor or beacon and it happened. It kills the main weapon and I am sick of this main weapon's treatment over other mains that have consistently received good kits over the 3 games.
Video idea: Kits based on brands that havent been on weapons yet, like what would a Rockenberg weapon be, and what sub and special would it have? (well obv it would have 5.1 wail)
I swear tri sloshed with tacticooler was my most wanted combo. and not only did it get that but it also get fizzy?!? This is the kinda kit I needed after the splash neo reveal
i can't believe tri slosher stole the funniest big swig or soda slosher kit. Honestly this is one of the few weapons where cooler could actually work out. Fizzy has combos and also poking and mobility. I was expecting autobomb for sure judging by the ink tank during one of the teasers but this is a pleasant surprise.
I literally just got into tri slosher so seeing this kit makes me consider even maining the weapon if it ends up fun (which, with tacticooler, it's probably going to be)
For me tri strike is definitely going to be meta in the next season and I'm scared abt that. Kraken seems to be a joke now, they overbuffed tri strike and made broken kits for it, It will be as bad as missiles spam since a good portion of the maps will be taken out from the Tri strike spam which will block that only way to reach the center of the map. Already have 3 tentatek in your team is broken, With that sniper and with the new splash, the splash meta will return with a diff special even more broken than crab tank
Yeah, pretty much all those kits are a reference to splatoon. That was the vanilla sploosh in 1 and the 52 was the vanilla set in 1. Same with krakon roller etc. If a kit has wail on it, its likely referencing 1. For example, vds is based on dual squelchers kit in 1 and there are many more examples. Most of these secondary kits seem to be homages to splatoon 1 (and some 2) kits.
I don't usually play Tri Slosh, but Chara hit the nail on the head when he said Kensa Machine. It gave me callbacks and I'm honestly interested in a weapon for once. I'm willing to try out the fake Soda Slosher.

I feel like the splatoon devs hate killer wail kits. They keep putting a not that great sub with a not that great special. Point sensor, toxic mist, and now beacons. The only good subs to accompany killer wail on any kit have been splat bomb on the inkbrush, splash wall on the .52 gal, and autobombs, but on the bamboozler. Now, with neo sploosh, half of the kits with killer wail will be average at best. You are making some of us work harder for that overall splatter medal.
no burst bomb on tri is sad, but fizzy is the nest best option for it so i'm ok with it and juice is healthy and great for it (might be strong in a future double tac meta maybe)
It's admittedly kind of funny that the devs unknowingly created a demonic meta and part of it was just a modest shooter, it's returning sub, and a newer special.
Or they could give it trizooka, but we'll have to wait for another year, and who knows, it might not be splat bomb, they might give it point sensor or angle shooter out of spite.

I'm thinking that the Super Chump is Nintendo trying to fix Tenta Missiles. Given how the NZap 89 and Clash Deco both returned with Main + Sub intact but Missiles replaced with Super Chump, I don't think it's impossible that they just gave up on balancing Missiles and are trying to replace it. The sad part is that CJet, another weapon returning that used to have Missile, got Inkstorm instead. I don't understand why they did that. Same thing with the L3-D not getting Kraken back despite also having burst bomb. It seems like they were too scared of the new specials being either incredible or terrible, so they're just hedging their bets. I wouldn't be surprised if they originally intended to give twice as many weapons the new specials but got cold feet.
Yup. Missiles are likely getting phased out. And kraken might be a reef replacement as well (unless Nintendo plans to rework the latter) I wonder if they'll go the extra mile and actually patch missiles out of the game, now
Yea!, it’s like with the other sets like rapid deco and l3d, the specials synergies well, it’s just the specials themselves are weak right now, if those parts are buffed it’s all good
i do feel sploosh may have a bit of a niche for being a speedy mobile weapon that can quickly place beakons in tricky spots, the same sorta deal the neo sploosh had in splatoon 2, just with a considerably less BS special

They could honestly have given missiles to sploosh without it being too much of a nuisance. Double missile would still be unviable considering the other options, and because of its lackluster range and lack of bomb it cant get special without committing and exposing itself

The sad part is that CJet, another weapon returning that used to have Missile, got Inkstorm instead. I don't understand why they did that. Same thing with the L3-D not getting Kraken back despite also having burst bomb. It seems like they were too scared of the new specials being either incredible or terrible, so they're just hedging their bets. I wouldn't be surprised if they originally intended to give twice as many weapons the new specials but got cold feet.
Yup. Missiles are likely getting phased out. And kraken might be a reef replacement as well (unless Nintendo plans to rework the latter)
I wonder if they'll go the extra mile and actually patch missiles out of the game, now

Yea!, it’s like with the other sets like rapid deco and l3d, the specials synergies well, it’s just the specials themselves are weak right now, if those parts are buffed it’s all good

i do feel sploosh may have a bit of a niche for being a speedy mobile weapon that can quickly place beakons in tricky spots, the same sorta deal the neo sploosh had in splatoon 2, just with a considerably less BS special
Unless they make neo sploosh 170p and nerf inkbrush to 200p, I don't see anyone other than maybe myself using this weapon anytime soon.

Probably the definitive cooler weapon followed by zap and dynamo. Fizzy will also help this thing out.
Still waiting for my poor sploosh to get a good kit, I’m fine with this one but I’m hoping the 3rd kit will be splatbomb/trizooka or point sensor/kraken

They could honestly have given missiles to sploosh without it being too much of a nuisance. Double missile would still be unviable considering the other options, and because of its lackluster range and lack of bomb it cant get special without committing and exposing itself
