As the special planning authority for new townships in Navi Mumbai, Cidco has announced its declaration of intention to prepare a comprehensive development plan of Khopta New Town Notified area. The state government appointed Cidco as the special planning authority for the Khopta New Town Notified area. The new township involves 32 revenue villages encompassing Panvel and Uran talukas. This area includes 7 villages from Panvel tehsil of the Raigad district and 25 villages from the Uran tehsil.
