Funny how my music-knowlege change from " yes , i defently heard about it", over " who doesnt know these songs?" To " what the f is this song?" During the decades
Haha you must be younger than me. The old ones I got all made it through the early 80s pretty good. Didn’t pick back up until the era where my children started listening to music so was familiar as I always let them control the “radio” in the car.
Yep absolutely- quality of music certainly plummets after the 90’s that’s for sure and I don’t know if anyone else thinks that post 90’s music all sounds the same I can’t distinguish between the songs … I guess originality really is a thing of the past these days 🤷♀🤨
Ha yes! It's like how from 50-65 I got a few and knew a few, just not the names or artists. Then 66-99 I was completely locked in, got them all right and could give the album too for most of them. Then 2000 onwards it was back to knowing some of them and "yeah I've heard this, but I don't know the names" lol.
My problem is I know the lyrics and beats but no clue on most of the names. I grew up with all these cause my dad is a DJ. Just never bothered to know the names lol.
I was batting perfect until 1987 (music my mother played for me, after which she was busy with me), missed a few, and then knew all the late 90's/00's from when I was in middle and high school. I knew some of the ones in the late 10's as I heard them working catering at weddings. But that stopped in 2020 (for obvious reasons), after which I don't just not know the names of the songs... I haven't even heard them before. Gotta say though, nothing has made me feel more old recently, than seeing a playlist of songs from 1955 to today, that hits the 90's and is *only halfway through* the set.
This video is like a musical journey through the years! 💕 It's fascinating to see how the songs and trends have evolved from year to year. Some of these songs bring back so many memories, while others make me discover new artists and genres that I might have overlooked before. Thank you for this nostalgic and entertaining journey! 🎶✨
It's simply amazing how songs we haven't heard for decades come immediately back to mind. Fun fact: Hotel California, etc., is by the band Eagles, as shown on that t-shirt. Everyone, forever, including me, has called them The Eagles. They've said in interviews that they hate it but know that it'll never change.
What I liked about this was quiz was that I got every single one between 1966-2000 (could give the album for most of them too). Then either side of those dates was just either "yeah I've heard this, haven't got a clue what it's called or who sings it though." or "OMG I KNOW THIS ONE!" 😂
I stuck with all the rock in the 70s and 80s, it’s when the Christmas song that only started charting number one 4 years ago was considered a top song of 1994 when you lost me. Apparently disco, r&b and hip hop don’t exist to this guy.
I knew most of the songs, but not always the artists. The artists that I listened to in the 80's and 90's and 2010+ are: Beastie Boys, Keith Sweat, Salt-n-Pepa, Jodeci, Heavy D, Snoop Dog, Tupac, Janet Jackson, SWV, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, Billie Eilish
I knew 'em all through about 1999/2000, then I flatlined. I'd heard a couple/few of the last 24 songs, a few times, but I had no idea of titles or artists. I'm old, born in 1967.
I can't believe we have been subjected to All I Want for Christmas is You for 30 years!!! On a better note, I only missed 2020 and 2024! Yay music! (There was too much pop music. Boo)
Without giving it away, before 1964 I got one wrong. From 1964 I only got two wrong. I will admit some of the songs I was able to get the song and the artist right at the very last couple of seconds. It was fun though. I will go back and jam to all of them!
My dad was a Top 40 radio DJ throughout the 70s and 80s, and then an oldies DJ in the 90s and 00s, (so he could keep playing the same stuff) so when I showed him this, he just looked at me and said “These are REALLY easy.”
I love my music but I don’t know all the artists! Could name a lot of them from 1976 upwards tho so not too shabby for a late 1990s baby 😅 was brought up with all kinds of music from mum, dad and grandparents so I guess that helped a lot!
So I was born in 1991 but I could name all of the songs starting at 1974-now.. I knew some of the songs from before but not all. My mom quizzed me regularly on songs and artists from the late 70s-on so she would be disappointed if I got those wrong.. 😂
The only song I couldn't guess by the sample was Waka Waka. And there were a good number of artists' names I didn't know, particularly in the first chunk of the video. But I bet I'd've gotten Waka Waka if the sample was from a different part of the song! 😋
Whats your favorite song or year. I think 1994 is awesome😊
Collective Soul Shine.
No 30 Summer Of '69
2016 queen Sia dominated 😍
1977 The Eagles!
I only got to JonnyvB Good before the subtle background music caused me to stop watching.
Funny how my music-knowlege change from " yes , i defently heard about it", over " who doesnt know these songs?" To " what the f is this song?" During the decades
Yeah somewhere between 66 and 70 there were a few I was like wtf is this lol
Haha you must be younger than me. The old ones I got all made it through the early 80s pretty good. Didn’t pick back up until the era where my children started listening to music so was familiar as I always let them control the “radio” in the car.

Born 93 went from who doesn't know these songs to maybe heard them to wtf is this song

I seen one huge mistake in this video johnny b good was first preformed by Calvin Klein (Marty Mcfly) in 1955 not Chuck Berry in 1958
Ok, that's good, I like this comment 😆
Justice for our boy Marty McFly!
And chucks cousin Marvin gave him the idea for the song
This is my favorite comment ever.
Are you serious?!
My problem is I know the lyrics and beats but no clue on most of the names. I grew up with all these cause my dad is a DJ. Just never bothered to know the names lol.
Lol for
Lmao
I probably got like 20 of the titles... 10 of the artists....
And knew 60 songs
Relatable
Up until 1990, easy. 1990 to 2000 I struggle. After 2000 forget it, not a clue
I got all but four at least by artist or song. Wasn’t even born for the first 18 years of it. Thank you mom and dad ❤
Four songs from one group in less than 10 years is ridiculous... Except for this group, in that decade...
I knew dancing queen and heart of glass
Beatles of course
Beatles are still the GOAT
So you're complaining but not complaining? 😅
@@wendylagree3581 Yes, it would be a complaint except for this one case. I also use "ridiculous" as exceptional rather than incorrect.
You did the 2000s dirty lmao. Could've used used Linkin Park at least once
System of a down woulda been cool too.
Well as you know, in the end, it doesn't even matter.
I'm suprized they didn't include One Direction in the 2010s they were pretty big back then.
And not one greenday
@boomhauertalkshow3610 I. Agree with all of these but especially green day

54/70, i didn't know most of them til the early 80s, then didn't know more til the 2000s
Great video. That was fun!
Love the video!
Let's collect which artists should have been mentioned. I'll start:
Amy Winehouse
Sting
Little Richard
Dolly Parton
Pink Floyd
Why can't I like twice@@MrSuperMichel1997
def leopard, ccr, hendrix, zepplin, satchmo, linkin park, marilyn manson, prince, willie nelson, blink 182, eminem, tupac, oh my maybe a part 2?

Knew every single song. My dad taught me the love of music.🕊️
Awesome parents👍
Woah that's a lot of beatles songs
They ran the 60's
That's nothing. They've got so many more hits, it's unreal.
A lot of people today don't understand just how MASSIVE they were in the 60s. Beatlemania was real.
you may say im a dreamer
@@ctriptych That's a John Lennon song. Not the Beatles.
All until the 2000s, and then a couple.
Love that we saw Beatlemania - they were crazy popular in the 60s & 70s!!!❤
Mostly 60's they broke up in 1970 then of course 1971 is John Lennon

I always say the as in The Beatles, The Who, The Scorpions, etc. if it is a band name of 1 Word.
@@chrisstinamalmquist9606 Same! Any other way just sounds weird.
Except for a couple I was doing great until 2001 and then it went downhill 😂
I was exactly the same!
Agreed. They all sound the same
Thank god, wasn't just me.
i was perfect 100% for song and artist until 1999 then i was a perfect zero
@@philiprice7875 I feel you in many ways but how did you not get Hips don't lie or Waka Waka?
Thanks scorpions
i got every one right
I did a challenge with my family, frankly my dad( who was born in 1966) did great, he got 18 points
OH MOTHER SIA 👑🥳Chandelier could also be for 2014 but IG shake it off was bigger for radio
There was also lady gaga, I'd say there was a lot of good songs made by the queens around that time because Shakira and Rihanna were big then as well
14/70
24/70 Without 1990-2010 I would have a score of 7
2014 Best song is Happy by Pharrell Williams!!!
What I liked about this was quiz was that I got every single one between 1966-2000 (could give the album for most of them too). Then either side of those dates was just either "yeah I've heard this, haven't got a clue what it's called or who sings it though." or "OMG I KNOW THIS ONE!" 😂
I will always love you was dolly parten
My friends and I got 41 correct!! Great Video!!
For everyone who skipped it when that Christmas song came on 11:52
I stuck with all the rock in the 70s and 80s, it’s when the Christmas song that only started charting number one 4 years ago was considered a top song of 1994 when you lost me.

Got all 70
49/70. I knew most of the 60's, all the 70's and 80's and most of the 90's after that I had NO clue apart from "Shape of you" which I love! ❤
I knew all until 2000s pop and rap 😂which is quite weird for a 16 yr old but well (and some pop songs during 90s)
Dont worry im 21 knew more from the 80s and 90s than the 2000s
Sang to quite a few from 55 till 62 ... Sang to everything from 63 till now 😅 my grandfather would be proud😊
Rap music left the chat from 1992-2001 and in 2024
i am so unbelievably good at this
15 ty!!!!
Got them all by either artist or title beside 2 from the 60s but im a '91 baby so i feel good about it. Wish i woukd have played with my family
I love this
Music really took a nose diveal around the 90s and 2000s and onward till today.

By about 1995 I'm pretty much out except for a few hits everybody has heard. Cheers!

The Rolling Stones anyone?
Only 6 I didn’t know. I’ll take it
1973 was pretty sweet
Lol
I have some of these songs on my UA-cam music playlist
The fact songs which were made before i was born are better in this compilation…

9:46 WAS THAT THE SONG OF '87
It’s sweet child of mine by Guns ‘N Roses
@@lylaslessons392It was a reference to a video game, they weren’t asking what the song was.
i got them all right
I got all but 3 of them
THIS WAS SO FUN!!! This game was perfect for me bcuz I play this with friends..tooting my horn, I was good at this one…thanks 😊
Most of them coz all I do is listen to music from the 60s onward
ok i got 80 percent right of the test. i wiould like a PRIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was thinknig of you today.
