    Glad you liked board! We're really hyped on it too. Try out the 63mm Fatty Hawgs if you're looking for a slightly larger wheel. Cheers✌️

      DeathByVlog i was just wondering because i like multipurpose things and it seems like if i got that setup it would give me a larger wheel but also not just a longboard wheel it looks like a hybrid wheel not super heavy but still solid for ollies kickflips and tearing up the bowl because i have no hills really here

    I'm 48 and remember watching Lance Mountain just tearing it up on VHS, at lunch time during school, before bombing down the local hill on a Rat Bones at 40mph. Grew up in Cornwall in the UK, with crazy coastal roads and sliding until my wheels fell off. Chucking methods off ramps and riding half pipes. Then when you mentioned everything I was hit with nostalgia. I was literally about to drop nearly 2 grand on a Mellow Drive that I don't really need but then I saw this. I found this same set up complete at a shop 50 minutes drive from me. I'm going to buy it tomorrow. It's perfect for what I want. Thanks for the review and your story was like a step back in time for me. Keep riding!

    I just want to thank you for this great video. I didn't step on a board for almost 20 years, but wanted to get back into it a few weeks ago. But not hardcore, just a bit cruising, doing some minor tricks and having fun. A regular board would always feel very uncomfortable and make me kind of scared to really enjoy it.
    But then I found Landyachtz and their ATV series. I looked for reviews and found this video. After watching your video I wanted to have one, because I felt you have the same approach to skating as me. It wasn't easy to get them in Germany, but I found a shop and it arrived today.
    I have to say, it feels so smooth and awesome to just cruise the streets. I'm very happy with it.
    Long story short:
    Thank you! :)

      I haven’t skated in almost 30 yrs. My kids are loving skateboarding and I wanted to join in. I recently tried a dinghy and loved it. Saw this video and ordered the ATV Grey Cat since it’s a little bigger and seems like a smoother ride from what I read.

    I just got back into skating as well, 27 yr gap. I had no idea we call the oldschool shaped decks with softwheels cruisers these days!
    Back in the 80's that was considered a street board.
    So. It seems I ride a cruiser as well. 😅
    I basically built the board I always craved as a kid and couldn't afford.
    60mm OJ Super Juice wheels are the only thing I changed in favor of the slimeballs I ran the first week. Just too hard for street riding...

    very well made video and story,
    my story is just veryveryvery the same as you,
    me and my brother playing around with plastic board in my childhood i can't remember what brand it's all green plastic like banana board.
    i never steps on skateboard around 25 yrs, just last year i begin to skating again with mini 24 and 27 inches cruiser board , now iam in late 30 and trying to find a suitable bigger board to cruise around and found this awesome video.
    i found very big nostalgia in this video.
    Thank you for sharing your story.

    Landyachtz are nice! - my first Board was a yellow fiberglass banana board. 😃 I have a few boards now. They are all conservative riders. No aggressive skating for me anymore either. Not convenient but, one of my all time favorites is the classic Hamboard. At 6’6” it is a dream ride! Come out and ride it someday! ✌️

    Cool skateboard. My brother and I used to do catamarans down a long hill (street actually). We'd have our little sister watch for traffic when we approached an intersection. When she saw us getting close, she'd cross in the cross walk really slow holding up traffic to allow us to zoom right on by at an incredible speed. Awww.....to be young again.....that was back in the mid to late 70's when we skateboarded to our hearts content...out all day and into the late evening....no video games whatsoever to keep us indoors.

  • @ShinShinoke
    @ShinShinoke 4 роки тому +13

    I really like Landyachtz but this board is a bit pointless in a way, unless you just want an easy complete. No wheel flares and no wheel wells. To be fair I think their newer ATVs at least have wheel wells. But basically this is just a normal popsicle deck with a pointed nose for aesthetics and with larger wheels. I don't know if the trucks are wider than normal skate trucks (e.g. 155mm vs 130-135mm). You could slap larger wheels and some risers on any normal skate deck or old skateboard and get a similar result.
    Now the Tugboat on the other hand is shorter - but just from having a shorter nose really, and has wheel wells and flares, wide trucks etc.
    And then there's the new Rally Cat (wasn't out back in 2017) with immense rocker.
    And the Sidewalker.
    I'd get a Tugboat, Sidewalker or Rally Cat over this (and maybe two of them!). The latter two are the same rough length. The Tugboat is 3" shorter from its small nose.
    Still, nice story and nicely edited skate footage. Hope you're enjoying it.

    • @ShinShinoke
      @ShinShinoke 4 роки тому +5

      I should add / correct myself a little - if all you've ever skated is a normal popsicle deck skateboard and then want to come back to it but cruise and take it easier, then the ATV is arguably the best - as it's the closest to what you're used to. The same shape and dimensions really. Going from a normal skateboard to even a Tugboat is a bit of a change. But if you want to mix in slides, pumping, hills and longboarding elements then perhaps the Sidewalker and Rally Cat offer more.

    Dude, you and me are so similar! I tried to get back into skating in my late 30s but the suck of slamming and the insane standard for park and tricks these days just put me off. Not that I was ever that good to start with! At 40, I've just realised I could've made cruising more my thing. I've just treated myself to a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt - nice but a bit small. I feel I should've gone for the Tugboat, or maybe an ATV now I'm watching this. Anyway, thanks for the vid. Stoked to be back in the old skool world of skateboarding :)

    Whats it like at the skate park?
    The bigger softer wheels are the opposite to what everyone uses in skate parks, but im looking for a Landyachtz thats good for transition and skate parks, just cant seem to find anything in their lineup
    Are the soft wheels too grippy ?

    Do you get any wheel bite on this? I am deciding between this and the tugboat captain (the black on black one). I want to cruise comfortably but be able to ollie and maneuver easily too. My main concern right now is getting a board without wheel bite and it's been hard to find out since there's barely any reviews out there. Great video by the way!

      +austin wuchter I know right! I totally forgot to mention my year of Freebording. But, it would've screwed up the edit if I went back and tried to fit it in. Freeboarding is deadly haha 😂

    • @DeathByVlog
      @DeathByVlog  4 роки тому +1

      It’s actually discontinued. It’s the Chrome Industries Niko Backpack. It’s the original model though so make sure you find the correct one. They updated this bag to a version 2 and I really don’t like it. The original was much better.
