  • Looking for a Las Vegas day trip? Then I highly recommend you wander out into Nevada's strange desert landscape. The itinerary includes The Area 51 Alien Center, an oddball truck stop, and gift store located along the edge of the forbidden military zone, where we also stop and talk about the famed Nevada Nuclear Test Site and the wild "dawn parties" that were thrown in Vegas to celebrate the atomic age. Next, we grab lunch in Beatty, an old saloon town that boasts a resident population of wild burros. Minutes from Beatty, you'll find the ghost town of Rhyolite, one of the state's most well-preserved gold boom towns. We wander the sun-bleached skeletal remains and hunt for the grave of Mona Belle, a murdered dancer who is rumored to haunt the town. From there we cross the border into California, stopping at The Amargosa Opera House in Death Valley Junction. The Opera House was once a former mining complex and is said to host several (sometimes malevolent) spirits and has been featured on many ghost-hunting shows. Finally, we cross into Death Valley National Park and visit the ruins of the Harmony Borax Works, chase the sunset over the Artist's Palette, have dinner at The Inn at Death Valley, which of course, also claims to have a ghost, and lastly do some epic stargazing/ufo hunting.
    If you've explored these locations, I'd love to hear your stories in the comments! Also, always looking for episode suggestions.
    Book your stay at The Inn a Death Valley and let me know if you experience anything paranormal! tripadvisor.tp.st/1zKPy2Gz

    I was born and raised in Las Vegas in 1962. There used to be a horn that the whole city could hear every weekend at noon. It was an air raid alert test. Also, as a kid, I remember when they did underground testing the windows of the house I grew up in rattling when they did tests. When I was about 10, I asked my dad ( an airforce veteran and a weapons loader) about area 51. He confirmed it was real, and when asked if he could take us there, he said no because we couldn't see much, and the guards out there won't let you get close enough to see anything. He also said if you try to sneak in, they will make you disappear. Imagine, that was around 1972 when area 51 was hardly spoken about.

      I imagine growing up with all those tests going on so nearby, must have fascinating but super stressful. Obviously if they threaten to "make people disappear," they have to be hiding something profound there, beyond a regular weapons testing facility. Thanks for sharing!

    Bob Lazar debunked???? Sorry but I think the exact opposite is true.

    • @the_ghost_tourist
      @the_ghost_tourist  5 місяців тому

      True, “debunked” is the wrong word! He may be correct about what happened at area 51, however his claims about his education and employment could never be verified. For instance, places where Lazar claimed to have gone to college - like CalTech and MIT - said they’d never heard of him.

      @@the_ghost_touristthe government wiped his records clean to debunk him.....how did he get his education to work at los Alamos lab? He definitely was a physicist!!!! People def verified this, so if he was a physicist he could have back engineered UFO n government just admitted UFO are real n that we do have crashes UFO they admitted this, bob said element 115 they used to power the craft but 115 wasn't a periodic element until 2008 n guess wat bob Lazar said this in the 80s 😂😂😂😂 he knew about the hand measuring bone density to allow admittance to buildings n guess wat that was true ,yea your friend isnt who he said.....

    • @PheNom1466
      @PheNom1466 5 місяців тому

      I mean he was talking about element 115 what 2 decades before it was considered a element and added to the table but you could argue that it would reach that regardless.
