@toneill891 Oh really? this set was trained by the creator of the newport set? They aren't perfect with the execution of it all, but as I've said before, they have learned from the only person who can truly comment.
not really, as a matter of fact a coreographer might be able to write down a figure without even being able to dance, let alone that researches (pat murphy's set dancing books for instance) state exactly how a set should be and the source from where directions were taken.
not the best new port i have seen, lines, swings and houses etc perfect, but the music wasn't the best. but i hav 2 say in the last figure of the newport, the circle, the hands are meant to be low, its sets you're doing not ceili and you need 2 watch the long 7s, your feet aren't side by side when you do the 7s, gents lean on their left foot with their right foot slightly infront (not crossed though) and ladies vis versa
