i've got a good friend i used to work with who didn't move here from the bay area for this exact reason. he went to reno, nv instead. he would hate this. i don't mind cuz i grew up here and don't know any different.
Let it rain. Of course, I live in Oregon. When we bought our 2 1/2 acres 47 years ago, we looked over the land, saw a hill, and since Oregon is prone to floods, we said "Build my house upon that hill. 47 years later, I'm glad we chose the high ground, far from the flood stage. My hill though might turn out to be a volcano, then I'm screwed. Build smarter, just not in Organ, or Or-E-Gun, however you pronounce it. I like the first one. I'm an Organian. Not everything's bigger in Tex ass. Oregon grows huge zucchini, and they're juicy, cause we have ground water, sometimes floods of it. It's coming, prepare. Columbus Day, 1962, we lived on W. Gregory Rd., 5 miles from the Rogue River when the river decided to go rogue. The last time I saw my home, everything, including my favorite climbing tree was gone. I was 6, almost 7. My school was gone too. Friends, gone. J Zarrs, gone, Gibbons Market, gone, Gramma and Grampas, still there today, They built on a hill.
I grew up in SoCal and loved it when El Nino came around. That meant we got weather during the winter! Now, so many years later, I live up here, and wouldn't have it any other way. Love the rain :) (Floods, tho, not so much)
Not a pleasant here in Lincoln City. Windy with rain most of the day, although was mild temps. I emptied the rain gauge this morning 4.5" since Friday.
Thank you!
Thank you for the wind forecast as well as rain.
Thank you for your hard work Rod.
Wow, 65°! Thanks, Rod, for the weather forecast.
65? If only we knew why...
Excellent
I don't mind the rain. We don't wrinkle like those in the south. Our skin is well hydrated so we look far more youthful 🤣

I worked in Reno in the early 1990s and enjoyed my time being close to Tahoe.

Can’t get over how warm it is for December.
PDX hit 67 Monday, a new all-time record for December.

Thank you for the report.
Same here on the Central Washington coast. We’re in a drenching blow. Mind yer sails, lads.
62 in McMinnville today.
When should the ark building begin?
“Precipitable”…now there’s a vocabulary word that probably thins the herd of Meteorology Majors.
Has anyone questioned haarp and cloud seeding? Ionization creating these "Atmospheric rivers " time to tell the truth.
Not aware of any chatter on the issue. Atmospheric rivers have been happening long before cloud seeding was invented.
