@@holtscigarshow about: is it acceptable to use Tupperware rather than a wood humidor? How to treat the opening and closing of Tupperware (e.g. I’ve heard that you need to open your tupperdor to let out the air and let in new air, whereas with wood I’ve heard you need to open as quickly as possible, choose your cigar quickly, and close it up just as quickly)?
Excellent vid. I bought my first premium cigar in my 20s too, a Hoyo de Monterey Sabroso from Holts. Got my suits at Morvilles, my shoes from Sansom Bros and my cigars from Holts. Those were the days.
This is the Best Cigar Channel in the industry. Good solid practicle advise and focus on the experience of cigar enjoyment. I appreciate the videos and clear information.
The crazy thing is I actually don't care for the first 3rd of the Cigar. Once I get to the first change, that's when I slow down I take my time and I enjoy. Then that half piont ooooh that's what we are talking about. By that ending 3rd if it's great then I'm going till my fingers burn.
I love his videos can’t wait for my November monthly 5 pack He always delivers great content 👍🏻 my collection is growing and I’m now able to get in 2 or 3 sticks a day
Anthony and Faccia, I was perplexed when I bought two Cigars from two different Shops that I regularly buy from that I know keep their sticks properly humidified and I cracked all four on the cut and started losing the wrapper, of course I thought it must be me, however I am very careful to cut properly, turned out it was a new cutter I had purchased that was terribly dull, lesson learned, keep up the great work you guys do, thanks, Eric
Before you answered that last question, I said to myself gotta be Padron, My Father, and Fuente. I like that you threw Perdomo in there too. Guess I do have a refined palate like Mr. Mazz!
Great Video once again guys... Just catching up on the channel as I've been working my ass off... Nice to sit and chill with a couple of cigars (Davidoff today) and catch up on the awesome content... Have a smoke have a drink and be mellow out there.
Mazz is wise beyond his years. As a business owner myself (in music) from the outside looking in people think its parties, gigs and recording studios. The reality is far far from that. Owning your own business is great, but tough.
Hi, guys! Great job you both and your team do out there, enjoy it a lot, keep it going! About humidity: I live on the island where normal humidity level varies from 70 to 84% and have noticed that my cigars feel just fine in that humidity range (draw is perfect, cigars feel nice and fresh) though it's much higher than it's usually recommended, how's that possible?
I don’t think all cigars taste the same? But I can’t tell you about notes I’m tasting? I’m a guy that loves the relaxing part of smoking a cigar. I just put on some relaxing music, sit on my back deck and look at the stars as I relax while enjoying a good cigar. Better than meditation.
Absolutely mega, thank you so much to both of you. Anthony every time I listen to your amazing experience, I fall more in love with the cigar industry.
Great info guys enjoyed it. I have just a couple thoughts and a question on humidors. I’m actually in the process of building a home bar it will be a blend of speak easy /cigar bar named “The Robusto Lounge” I’m pumped and it’s a dream of mine. My question is what do you think of cooler/humidors which obviously are temperature and humidity controlled? Also like grouping same types of blends when aging and for some reason I fear that like having no air movement isn’t good am I wrong? One other comment I really like enjoying all types of cigars and I love some of the big brands say Fuente for instance but they don’t give you much information on the specific cigar your smoking where as others do? I really like to dive deep and learn what roller(person) put their hands on my product and give them praise! Thanks again boys!!
There are some enthusiasts who insist that different cigars sitting next to each other in a humidor will "marry" flavors. We typically don't find that to be something to be concerned about. Even if it happens, it isn't to the point where it drastically will alter the flavor of a blend. Plug in humidors are a great option! Finding information on the cigar (besides makeup) is different for every factory. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment!
Protection for having your cigars on the go, most tubos have a cedar sleeve inside that enhances the cigar with extra cedar notes, and presentation is great if you're giving the cigar as a gift!
I always wondered why that when I enjoy cigars that are 20-30 years old, they all have a taste of hay? Most of the older cigars that I get have been in humidors for all these years and I have had a good variety but like I said, they mostly have a taste of hay. Why is that?
pardon the repetition: there arent different proportions of different tobaccos across the structure of a cigar? if not is it the relative heat moving through the cigar that affects the taste resulting at the end with almost too powerful flavors?
One thing I wanted to ask, I have a guillotine cutter not sure what the measurements are on it but if I have a large ring gauge cigar, is it possible that my cutter could be too small for my cigar? I recently had a pretty big one and the cut wasn’t as pristine but maybe I didn’t do a perfect job on it either. Open to suggestions.
Yes, it's possible for your cutter to be too small for your cigar. You can purchase a larger guillotine cutter. Xikar sells the Xikar M8 70 Ring Cutter that fits ring gauges up to 70 no problem.
We typically tell consumers flavor marriage is not something we think will drastically change the flavor of a cigar, if at all. If you experiment with aging your cigars you will get what you're looking for. Leave a cigar in your humidor for a few months and see how you like it!
We need more videos like this !!
We're on it! Do you have any questions for the next one?

Was waiting for the Perdomo in the top favorites and boom! Hands down, my favorite channel to watch on cigars!
Salute gentlemen!
“I was a young kid” - interpretation = Mazz is much older than me 😅. Nice work, fellas.

Hello Max As always great information, watch you every weekend when enjoying a premium cigar in the backyard with my son, ps they call me Max also😁
Love to hear it, thanks for watching!
Drew Estate ( Nica )
Old Davidoff ( Dom ) but perhaps…. That’s not fair since that supply wouldn’t last. So
Fuente ( Dom )
Cohiba ( Cuba)
Love it! What is life, but a play and we the actors!
Excellent vid, gents 👍 Thoughtful and helpful answers.
Bravo gentlemen. Great job!
Totally agree on not aging pre aged cigars. They take the time to invest in the environment they sit in to get that flavor.
💯
Enjoying this video guys! 🙌🏼🔥🔥🙌🏼 Ever thought about doing a A.J Fernandez review or opinion?
For sure Victor, we actually have one in the works right now 👀 We've covered some of his blends in the past as well if you want to find those 👊

Love the content gang! Keep the videos coming. Been learning so much about cigar culture through watching these videos
Anthony's top 4 factories ... spot on! Bravo!
You gentlemen are fascinating, I have just began smoking a cigar every now and then, definitely a enjoyable experience

If they stayed consistently at 84% you’d have draw issues. With that said if it’s not broke don’t fix it 😅

Glad you enjoyed!

You guys are great, I've tried a bunch of your recommendations, home run every time!
Without a doubt those are my top 3 factories as well! 🍂
Absolutely mega, thank you so much to both of you. Anthony every time I listen to your amazing experience, I fall more in love with the cigar industry.

I just bought a case elegance humidor. Didn't know of Savoy.
If I had to do 3 brands
Ashton (if I also get La aroma de Cuba)
My father
Padron
Question guys…what is the advantage of a tubed cigar?
Protection for having your cigars on the go, most tubos have a cedar sleeve inside that enhances the cigar with extra cedar notes, and presentation is great if you're giving the cigar as a gift!

UA-cam doesn't like that
Well I am seasoning my humidor with distilled water for about 4 days and humidity is at 80% now. Is it safe to put in the boveda now and cigars?
Yes, you should be good to go!
@@holtscigars thanks alot, I didn’t expect an answer on a year old video, appreciate it 👌 you guys thought me alot☺️
Why do some cigars in the last 1/3rd have a burning taste or like I’m inhaling a fire taste?
Smoking too fast can cause that. Try slowing down and purging your next cigar in the final third!
@@holtscigars like don’t draw in a puff so hard?
Yes, and puff less frequently as well. Once or twice a minute is a good pace
Churchill’s
We should open a humidor in the lehigh valley pennsylvania (allentown) either way if you guys sre hiring hit me up
Have you ever had a top rated cigar and have been disappointed in it or thought it was overrated and if so what was it?
Fuente Fuente and….. Fuente
Had I known Ashton was a subset of Fuente I would have guessed Fuente Padron my father…. Guess I been watching my man mazz a long time lol
5 seconds in and I bet I can guess the brands…. Ashton, Fuente, Padron…. Let’s see if I’m right….
