I can imagine how difficult it must have been for batsmen to play against prime Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram and young Shoaib Akthar in the same team.
Julian Banks hats of to them batsmen who could deal with the deadly thrio
& Sachin Tendulkar beaten them all...
but surprisingly they could not create that magic. Not many victories where all three played together. eg could not beat Australia in Australia.
@@alpeshmittal3779 Well, Australia has never beaten Pakistan in Pakistan either. In Australia, Pakistani batsmen generally struggled with the bounce and unable to put up competitive totals. Add to that the number of dropped catches in the slips.

The most exciting fast bowling combination in the history of cricket. Masters of reverse swing and bowling with the old ball they brought a new dimension to the game. Also in their playing days they didn't like each other and that created rivalry between them but in return benefited Pakistan as they were able to clean batting line ups and win matches for their country.
The last time Pakistan won a test match in Australia was when these guys played together.

dear as a indian loved pak team of 90s pakistan in australia never won a live series after 1979 they won a dead rubber in 1995 when wasim and waqar played under malik captaincy i suppose 1999 hobart test even though langer not out in second innings when he was out still i feel pakistan bowling was not up to the mark and yes they won a bilateral series in 2002 when they both played not to forget carlton series where they won the tri series defeating west indies in the finals for me the real petformance by pakistan bowler is the great imran khan who picked up twelve wickets in a test in sydney 1976 when aus was really strong under chapell captaincy no highlight of that match available really imran khan the greatest

They are really honest wasim without any reluctance said that there was jealousy and also healthy competition that's really honest of him it's true there should be some sort of competition between greats nothing wrong in it
I am lucky to see them play. I can tell the future generations how good of a bowling pair there were.

So much so that speaking to Kumar Dharmesena - who played in that game and is now a Test umpire - many years later, he recounts going up to inspect the pitch and coming across Waqar tossing the ball up smiling, looking down at the pitch, and casually asking, “Kumar, do you like watching murder films?”.
No sooner had the match started than Sri Lanka were bowled out for 71. Pakistan went on to amass a very large first-innings total, and then bowled us out again inside three days, which was unfortunate because if our batting had held out on that third day we would have drawn the Test match; as it usually does in Kandy, it started raining and rained continuously for the next two-and-a-half days, so we missed drawing the match by an hour.

Missing you both in the cricket field. I became fast bowler because of waqar younis. My inspiration is waqar younis.unfortunetly pak coudnt provide any good bowler after shoaib akthar.
Both of them were magicians with the ball and when they were at their peak they were unplayable. Something always happened when they were bowling.

Wasim, Waqar, Aqib, later Shoaib, Saqlain, Mushtaq Ahmed, Zahid (shame he didnt get to play as many matches). Pakistan were Fire in the 90s. And they had batters who could actually bat. Saeed Anwar, Amir Sohail, Inzamam, Ijaz, Salim Malik, Yusuf.

No.1 fast bowling pair and batter than all other fast bowling pairs
At the age of 16, no one can bowl how quick he bowls right now. Even the Aussie pacers get mature and then they're able to bowl 140-145 clicks. Some other Pakistani pacers like Wahab and Amir can hardly bowl upto 145 clicks with their packed run ups. But this guy and Co. (Musa Khan & Mohd. Husnain) are continuously bowling with express pace of 145+kph regardless of undeveloped body structure. Isn't it great to see the wonders? But these kids can prove vital in the future, if they use the expertise of Waqar, Wasim and other legendary experts of the game along with their own creativity.
I'm the end, I can only say, these raw diamonds need to be polished with extreme care.

Wasim & Waqar in their prime years bowling in early 90 mph along with young shoaib as a first change consistently 95+ mph then Razzaq or Azhar bowling their in-dippers and in the end the guile of Saqi ........... I don't think there is any batting lineup that could have a better chance against this bowling attack, unfortunately it never happened. Was and Wiqi were too old by 2003

Showaib waqr and waseem were fighting and jealous all the time they were plying same time with each other. Here they are just hidding those things which ruined pak cricket
Shoaib was never jealous of those two, he always respected them. In return, these two ( especially Wasim ) felt extremely jealous of Shoaib and felt very insecure of him during his peak, often leading to team disharmony from 1999-2003.

Both are legends, known for being extraordinary in the Cricketing field. But I would like to differ Wasim Akram saying it was a healthy rivalry. It wasn't a healthy rivalry. Waqar led the rebellious players after the 1993 Sharjah Cup. Wasim took revenge from Waqar and dropped him several times. Even in the 1996 England tour, he urged selectors to drop Waqar, which they didn't. Waqar replied by taking Eight wickets in the match and was declared Man of the Match. During 1999 Australian tour, again Waqar was dropped
