I love that place, I'm from the area, my last name is Longmire and you have to go through Longmire park to get to paradise inn, generations ago my family donated the land to the state so it can be preserved and visited by all instead of getting chopped up and sold off to be a housing development. I'm glad you liked it! And I hope everyone gets to visit this wonderful place (I proposed to my wife at Longmire park)

Something to be aware of in 2024 is a reservation system in place during the summer at peak hours. You can't just show up at the gate anymore, there are too many people. You can reserve an entry time online I believe, which is highly advisable.

Very thorough and informative! I car camped here last year but that was before I was making videos. This was a fun way to re-live my visit. Thanks! Looking forward to seeing your channel continue to grow.

Thank you for sharing! Beautiful video… May I ask what month of the year was this trip? Is April a good time to visit?

When did you visit rainier ? I’m planning to visit late May is it bad during this time ?

I went late September. First day was raining and second day was sunny. Both were nice and glad to experience both weather. I would think it will be hot in May. Just prepare with sun protection and you should be fine. I hope this helps ☺️

May could still have a lot of snow on some of the roads higher up. Check for road closures online.
